But what the lady was saying is that the centre plug used to come out, even if it wasnt supposed to! and underneath is a mess of hair and stuff, so the bath when full drains only slowly - everyone with long hair knows that below the official drain mechanism gets full of hair that then matts, when you know that crud is there, it isnt clean, and those particular customers are from a culture that cleans every crumb of dust from every cranny

Those drains are notorious for getting hair caught in them and clogging. I have one in my bathroom sink that used to get clogged with hair all the time and they are very hard to unclog unless I undid the u-bend underneath and removed the hairball. I make sure I don’t wash any long hairs down there anymore and I haven’t had a clog in years. The metal bit that the hair catches on is most definitely not removable. It’s just a shitty drain and I would never use one in my house if I was building or renovating.

It is hard as she could also of had a similar plug before that did come out so is now confused as to why this one doesn't plus there did seem to be a bit of a language issue which made it harder, many people can speak English well for a day to day conversation but not know technical words correctly which seemed to be the issue here, but Ollie was very patent with her even if he did get in the van and scream once he had driven 50 yards down the road 😂

The bottom actually does come out on the popup drain, which you have to take out to clean hair attached to it. It comes out in one shot when it's new, but when the lower clicker part get old, it seizes in place, and just the top comes off. You just have to take needle nose pliers and remove the lower clicker unit. She's annoying as f, but she's right. Replace it. Keep up the great videos!
