Well that’s an old nemesis to come back and haunt you: wipes. I had thought most folks in your area had gotten the PSA - not to flush those things anymore. Apparently not these folks.

Great job.. back breaking work.. owner better call you back to check storm water because it would have been bigger mess if that storm grate was not there.. and if roots in sewer then more roots in storm water.. thank you for the vids.. working 3rd time thru them all

Roots don't get in if there are no breaks in the pipes. They are attracted to leaking water, and have no way of knowing that there is water on the inside of a sealed pipe. I'd say that the stormwater would be in PVC, as that was obviously nee work. However the person who buried old clay sewer pipes when they did that renovation obviously couldn't care about future owners.
