He is right, though. Say what you will about Tupac’s music. Great writer, influential and he meant a lot to black people. Nobody would disagree with that. He was never an elite-level emcee and that’s putting it lightly.

Streets, Revolution, Politics, Science, Mathematics, heath, wealth, self, history, , Geography, Geology, Biblical, religion & Spiritual. NAS & KRS can go deep in depth & with all of it & still have the Skilled Complexed Storytelling, Vocab, Rhyming Lyrical Skills to go along with the subject/ topic matters. @@2KILLAVILLE Are you aware of Pac's pedigree? Being a Panther is literally in his blood. He was raised in that mindset. With all due respect to Chuck and Kris, both of whom I'm massive fans of, saying they birthed Pac is absurd. The Dear Mama doc on FX covers this pretty well.
I'm from France, even here we dont disrepected Tupac as this guy just did. Pac had such à big influence here , and all around the world, he deserve his place in the Pantheon.

Pac gets the highest streams out of ALL the 90s rappers. So saying his music hasn't aged well is ridiculous...so many of his songs are still relatable today. these NY dudes are corny.

Pac was good but became Highly overrated after death. Jay highly overrated before death. Neither of them never been an Elite Advanced Complexed Rhyming Lyrical Emcee. Jay not even top 5 Lyrically from BK. Nas should've been # 1 then maybe Krs & Rakim
Tupac was that good in the nineties So imagine how much better he would be if he was still alive but if he involved with the music industry. None of these rappers today would stand a chance if he was alive.

Which is essentially giving someone props for grifting vs actually making a great project on their own. So you can’t give Wayne praise for mixtapes over albums like that.

Lowkey is LITERALLY the worst part of this show. Just makes it unwatchable. Awful attitude. Never adds anything of substance to conversation. Why are some people trying so hard to discredit Tupac in all level, who do u think u are. Is it not obvious that the love we have for him is genuine and no matter how hard u try it keeps growing. That man is an angel, his destiny was fullfil. Let me advice u find what's urs.
I rarely put 2pac on, but I absolutely understand and respect that he has to be AT LEAST on top 3 of ANY goat list and that he could very well be reasoned to be number 1. PAC transcends rap - he was so human and such a pure and authentic artist.

I've listened to Pac. I think he's one of the best, but not "the best." Been listening since the 70's. Pac was 🔥, but I can't put him over Rakim, Kane, G Rap, KRS-1, Jay-z, Biggie, Nas, Andre 3000, Face, Cube. Pac is up there, but not better than those guys. I don't use album sales or popularity to cloud my judgment. All those different categories are fluff. However, Pac should never be disrespected the way that guy did. Thanks for stepping up Ebo!

I'm in South Africa and Tupac is still influencing kids that we not even born during his era and I'm talking about genres who not hip hop , the disrespect of PAC is disgusting
PAC was the first that blasted the charts racked multi platinum plaques, created a diverse vision of not only hip hop, hood, poetic and Hollywood, but also reached back to the ghetto and dominated the pop charts and wasn't pop at all. He was more than Revolutionary, but Is Iconic. If anything, he should be #1.The first on his level, then followed Biggie, Eminem. Jay-Z, Nas... I said followed PAC. You can disagree and not like PAC, but still doesn't change the fact that he paved the way and was the first of his kind. Your favs are inspired by PAC and list him at the top. Like it or not.
This is a very New York conversation. only new yorkers would complain about PAC being at number 4. If you ask most of California and most of the South or around the world. They would have PAC at number 1, 2 or 3.

Pac's impact on hip hop and the world is and always will be bigger then any artist. He was a great actor. Dope Mc. Has music that has stood the test of time. His rap career didn't suffer after the movies. He continued to put out dope music. One of the best storytellers we had in hip hop other than Ice Cube. As the years go on the top 10 will turn into The Kids Bop top ten lol.

In pac's time there was no digital marketing yet cassette and magazines played a part. Well known in Africa even kids born in the 2k love his music.

Pac was good but became highly overrated/ overpraised in death. Too many Sharper Advanced Complexed Storytelling, Vocab, Rhyming Lyrical Emcees than Pac. Pac was barely mentioned in ppls top 10 between 92-95. NAS & KRS the Longevity 🐐🐐 imo
I enjoy Kendrick but having him at #2 is crazy. To say he’s #2 over NaS Pac Big & Em is wild. I’m all for the newer generation to get in there but being that high up is a exclusive club for a reason & it’s still a bit too early to let them jump ahead of some legendary artists. I believe Kendrick is on his way…but not now.

Kendrick has done enough to be 2 imo because he's probably the most consistent hip-hop artist of All-Time and he stays true to himself while being really successful commercially while being in a Era that's not too big on lyrical rap

I Love Eminem and believe he was the most lyrical if referring to his prime . But impact over all is 2Pac , Eminem is not that well respected in the ghetto but to caucasian suburbanites and the world he is more revered.

He constantly stole from Big and built his legacy from it. Now it's popular to steal styles, and everybody(most) sounds like Future or Drake. He also popularized treating Hip Hop like a business instead of an Art. With "I'm a Business-Man" Rhyme along with his approach. He himself said: "I dumb down for my audience and double my dollars They criticize me for it, yet they all yell "holla" If skills sold, truth be told, I'd probably be lyrically Talib Kweli Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense But I did 5 mill' - I ain't been rhyming like Common since (Woo!)"

Pac was the greatest of all time period.
Lauryn Hill's' body includes the Fugees and should always be considered when ranking her. She was the standout lyricist in the group in my opinion. The Score was a brilliant album.
