In Africa, Tupac is still bigger than Jay Z and all the rappers in that list. Jay Z is only big to hip-hop heads, but most people only know him for being Beyonce's husband. I'm talking about globally and not just in the U.S - till this day, we have hoods in Africa tagged West side and Thug life. People still play Dear Mama, Hail Mary, and Changes more than any Jay Z or Biggie song ( I'm talking about black areas which count as majority in Africa- I'm not talking about any Spotify or Apple music review). Global Impact no one comes near to Tupac in Africa, and when we talk about Europe, no one comes close to Eminem. Hip-hop is not just about opinions in New york. How is Kendrick at #2 comical?
@rt-rd5of

@@Jay62812 He's being pushed by mainstream. He can release an album of fart sounds and the critics will rate it 10/10 and cement it as one of the greatest albums in the history of mankind. He's being sold as a goat when he is actually mid. What can he do that Andre 3K can't? On the west coast Game isn't on the list but could beat him in a rap battle, could make better songs, and has more cultural impact.

By what they talking about. Eminem should definitely be number 1

He is definitely no.1. They're all in denial
Yo that shhhh be crazy people be disrespecting MA$E til this day Rappers trying 2 be pretty boy thugs.....
Too Short! shoulda been been on that list
If snoop is 10 busta should be 11 or 9🤷🏻♂️
They will never be able to quantify what hip hop and it's artist means to inner city youth or people that grew up within the culture worldwide with a list by billboard. That's like trying to weigh an airplane while it's flying...
Any list that doesn't have Nas as the best ever is flawed
where is Ice cube ?? where is Ice Cube ?? where is DMX ?

Big Sean, Game, Jeezy....not in the top 50??
I actually enjoyed this discussion
I’m just kinda sick Kendrick 2 😂, what criteria put him over all them people in the top 10
Mann pac number 1 hands down lol but I deff got big pun in my top 10
Look at joe protecting his peace😭😭
Melissa thinks she’s the A-Mic.
It’s a popularity contest …
Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, black thought would replace a few for me
Ish still hatin on Nas, yes he deserves to be over Big and Pac
Jay over Nasir Jones is a crime and so is not having GodEmcee Rakim himself in top 2.
I’ve cubes first 4 albums .. maybe the best
This is by no means no malice towards Snoop... but he legitimately only has one classic album that came out in 1993.. everything else is either flops or solid. Ice Cube, Kanye would make more sense in that spot. Other than that, outside of personal ranking, I have no real issue with the list

And what classic does Nicki have to be top 10?
@onyxonyx4744
Жыл бұрын
@@miked.336 I think it would be interesting if everyone looked at appropriate 'ranges' for where a rapper could fall without it being egregious. I think Nicki being top 10 is a bit too high. However 15-25 sounds about right for her. Anything lower than 15, you're probably pushing it. Anything higher than 25 is starting to get disrespectful.

If Snoop cant be there because of one classic album why should Nas be there? How many classic albums does Nas have? You can’t pick and choose your favourite criteria.
Kool G Rap not being mentioned anywhere in this debate is plain crazy.. yet Gucci Mane 🤦♂

Good observation, I never thought of it that way.
Kendrick over Wayne and Kanye is nuts. Wayne is the goat to me (born in 1994 for context) but I recognize Jay Z’s greatness and can understand him being #1. Imo it’s Wayne, Jay Z, Kanye, Tupac, and Biggie.

Kareem won't drop because current NBA players don't play enough games.
@andrewswing9917

He definitely will. Steph at 32k plus same for Kevin. But being realistic, it's easier to average 25/7/7. So to your point, you don't need to play all 82. Kareem will drop quick as hell. I mean, the LaMelo ball for the hornets, just recently past 1,500 assists and hasn't played 200 games to say the least.
You never leave out Rakim from the top 10, ever
Tupac 1or 2 easily
My takes is the art/music gotta come first. As far as that goes. Nas - Greatest HH album of all time (Illmatic) Nas - one of the best individual catalog in rap history Nas - defeated JZ in a rap battle (facts). And JAY-Z last good album was released over a decade ago (BP3) Nas - active 1991 till current day. He’s been releasing music since Kdot was 3yrs old & in 2k22 he released an arguably better album than Kdot’s. So explain how his #3 & how especially Kdot was placed ahead of him. Let’s not even say that it’s been impact bcos that would also be wrong
Kendrick ahead of Nas is absolutely ridiculous. Kendrick does not beat Nas on any of the criteria.

DMX top5 easy
Kendrick is way to high, and Pac is #1!!!!!!
2Pac is the 'Michael Jordan' of Hip-Hop. Period. I don't think Jay-Z had a better impact than Kanye imo
