I can’t argue with Outkast being # 1. They incorporated every style and their albums showed evolution without using violence in their lyrics. You can play a OutKast album with your mom in the car 💯

Think of it this way had it not been for A Tribe Called Quest there would be no Kanye, Pharrell Williams or even OutKast without Tribe. Kanye, Pharrell & Andre 3K have all gone on to state how impactful the music of ATCQ was on their lives. Regardless the impact and legacy of ATCQ & OutKast is everlasting.

No matter what criteria they used, there's no way in hell Bone comes in at #21. They were the hottest group in what most people called the Golder Era of hip hop (Mid 90s). They have classics with Biggie, Pac, and Eazy E. They are one of the top 5 best-selling rap groups of all time. When you listen to rap today, it sounds more like Bone style than any of the other groups in the top 20. So please tell me how in the hell did Bone come in at #21???? Straight BS...

Wu Tang is number 1 for me. Problem is that people always exclude the "solo" albums when they shouldn't. At least definitely not Raekwons Cuban Linx and Ghostfaces Ironman. Cuban Linx was a duo between him and Ghostface(both are featured on the cover) and produced by the Rza. Ironman was a trio with Ghostface, Rae, and Cappadonna(all featured on the cover) and also produced by the Rza. Every single member of the Wu had an appearance or two on both albums. Dont care what anyone says but those are Wu Tang albums. I think people forget just how much of an impact they had during the 90s. People around the world were tattooing the Wu symbol on themselves. They even had their own video game. 👐

Comparing a female RAP group to a female R&B group just further proves that female rappers (no matter how much they've contributed to hip hop) aren't taken seriously. TLC is great, but TLC isn't a rap group. The top 20 list is about RAP GROUPS, not singing groups. Imagine if some idiot(s) compared NWA to Bel Biv Devoe. It's the disrespect for me. No impact? GTFOH! Alexa, play 'Get Up' by Salt-N-Pepa.

I’m shocked bone thugs isn’t top 20. They pioneered that harmonizing rap flow. Ja Rule, 50 cent, future, and dozens of others should be thanking bone thugs. Even migos (quavo) be trying to harmonize on the track sometimes. And talk about cultural impact they were the only rap group I ever thought could rival wu-tang. Internationally women are tattooing bone thugs on their body.

Harmonizing fast rap flow* people these days always mention the harmony but they were the first mainstream wise to rap fast too, nobody did that til them, and all u hear now is that double-time fast choppy flow. Also they sold more than Wu Tang btw
