"Longevity is so important" but Biggie is like Lou's GOAT and both have multiple rappers very high that had like less than 10 years careers. But then will turn around and say that it's too early to call Kendrick the GOAT even though the only rapper that can even compete with Kendrick is Nas. And Kendricks been releasing studio albums for 12 years, and release projects in general since like 2005 or something

Yeah, these guys got some serious double standards. I get that he released 2 classics while alive but you can’t just imagine the rest of Biggie’s career. Also, they talk about being an amazing MC… then why is Pharoahe Monch so low??? Pharoahe Monch is 10x the MC JCole will ever be! He bas better projects, better track presence, more varied instrumentals, and he’s - most importantly - a better spitter. Seeing Ghostface Killah in BOTH of their top 20s further proves my point that Pharoahe should be up there with him! Anyway, my point is it feels like these guys didn’t completely do their research on each of these MCs as there’s no way they ranked some of these people the way they did with full context of their careers

He is a straight poet on his shit and albums like Resurrection, LWFC, Be and One Day it'll All Make Sense were all 10/10 AOTY contenders. He has the voice, the lyricism, his longtime producer No I.D and the catalogue to be top 10.

LWFC and Be are certified classics, you can maybe add Ressurection there as well and ODIAMS is a great album. Common is THE face of the whole conscious branch of hip hop. He was an important figure of the Soulquarians. He has worked closely with legendary producers, in Kanye and No ID. His impact is undeniable. He's also one of the best storytellers and his lyrical ability is up there. Aside from his catalog, he has a whole bunch of dope features (Respiration has got to be one of my favorite songs ever man) and he won a rap beef against Ice Cube. He would definitely crack my top 20. Easily.

Drake is a performer and not a single time in a thou eyars he would outrap Big L for example. Big l would smoke him in a freestyle or a battle bar for bar.@@jmoney4220

Ice Cube should definitely be a top 10 consideration. The writing on SOOC was better than NWAs second album. His first 4 solos range from classic to great. After Eric B And Rakim's first 3 albums and before Illmatic what solo rapper was making the best music? The answer is Ice Cube : 91 into 93 he's the best. He's one of the few rappers you can definitively make a case was the best at some point. I agree with Gibbs being in a Top 50. Over the last 8-9 years he's had a handful of AOTY contenders. Lupe would in my top 10 he's had AOTY contenders in 3 different decades and bar for bar he's one of the all-time greats.

Big Boi at 26 is a W. Just as good as Andre most of the time and even better on some songs.

Pharoahe Monch has classic albums both as part of Organized Konfusion and solo!! He has subject matter, mixes in some decent singing vocals and his flow and delivery is peerless! So underrated!!

Not having Pac top 10 is outrageous, the guy had the entire game on strings, his voice spoke to so many people he was viewed as a prophet when he starts rapping you feel his emotion like no other artist

Fr man. Pac introduced millions to hip hop. Most of those in the top 10 can go to Africa and nobody even recognizes them but you can see many people in Africa with 2Pac, dear mama.. Tattoos. Changed many lives fr

Lol gotta have Pac top 5 just off Hail Mary alone 😂🤣 .. it’s kinda scary how good he was and how rapidly he was evolving …. Songs like blasphemy, Hail Mary , shed so many tears , trouble some don’t even sound like music .

My top 5 is Nas, J Cole, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Prodigy. I'm a huge fan of Mobb Deep so had to put P in there, also for his influence and presence on a track. RIP 🙏

These are probably the most criminal takes i have ever witnessed. Prodigy Raekwon Kane and Big L are Top 10 easily how the fuck is Drake above those is extremely mind boggling.
