Way more likely the 2006 election was a fraud and also took place in 2006 so in 17 years Hamas had time to recruit from the nearly 1 million residents of Gaza... With support from Iran and Lebanon... And Hamas, which you claim is supported,...recruited about 3000 total militants from a pool of 1 million and it took 17 years. That is 176 recruits per year...3000 total. 0.3% of the population. For the biggest invasion of the last 50 years and they got three tenths of a percent to join them? So you call that support?? 3/10th of 1% of the total population in 17 years decided Hamas was worth supporting with boots and guns?? It should win the record for the worst recruitment ratio in human history. For comparison, 32% of eligible American males enlisted in WW2. 0.3% of Palestinians enlisted for the great invasion but allegedly 50% voted for Hamas??. No. This does not add up. A casual examination of this suggests Gaza is under the tyranny of Hamas, the election was a fraud, and Hamas is supported by 3/10th of 1% of the population. 99.7% want this insane destruction to end with the banishment of hamas, next to zero % support Hamas.

@@119Agent I'm a (retired) Canadian educator, and I don't fall into either camp. Neither did the vast majority of my colleagues. It's the people who hate educators that scare me. America is extremely angry and polarized. It's not like that everywhere.

I went to plain old public state schools where the professors have a day job and came from industry and many are foreign-born. Didn’t get a lot of politics in my education but then again I did get a STEM degree.

Palestinians elected Hamas as their leader, and a recent poll also showed that they supported what Hamas did to Israel on 7th October. Palestinians and Hamas' mindsets are certainly the same. There are even videos on youtube of them dancing and celebrating after Hamas killed innocent Israeli babies, women, and elderly people.

The Arabs rejected a two state solution. As soon as the modern state of Israel was created in 1948, 5 Arab armies tried and failed to drive the Jews into the sea. Then Jordan took control of the West Bank and Egypt took control of Gaza from 1948-1967. In another Arab-initiated war in 1967, Israel took control of the West Bank of Judea Samaria and Gaza. If you start a war and lose, then you forfeit territory to the victor. In 2005 Israel withdrew its forces and all farmers from Gaza. For 18 years Gaza was not occupied. It received billions in aid from UNWRA. Gaza should look like Dubai. Gaza was not occupied on Oct 7 when Hamas tortured, raped and murdered 12,000 Israelis, wounded 3,000 and took over 250 hostage.

This has been happening for years, from conservative faculty being silenced or denied tenure, conservative speakers shouted down or denied access, and conservative students bullied and needing to parrot left wing talking points in essays or risk failing. The response from the left was crickets. Maher has been pushing the worldview and agenda of the left wing progressives this whole time. He still does, but not with the most recent hot button topics. He speaks of our both sides of this mouth, and is a an elitist himself. He’s one of those ‘vote blue until it affects you’ people. As long as he’s not personally affected, he’ll still vote progressive. He actually wants GAVIN NEWSOM to be President! 🤮

Todd, Gaza has an electoral process much like the US and back in 2007 most Palestinians voted to be governed by Fatah, but Hamas "won" the election. The Fatah party was much more moderate, supporting Israel's right to exist and believed in a two state solution, whereas Hamas is a militant terrorist organization with the goal to destroy Israel and establish an Islamic state in its place. That being said, given the war Palestinian support for Hamas has increased substantially. Finally, one should know prior to that election, the Fatah party sought US assistance to win that election, but US policy took a "hands off" approach.

Somebody needs to ask Maher why he wears his glasses the way he does.

Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas. Netanyahu said that.
