The arabs in Gaza have the right to vote. So they elected Hamas in 2006,- with the charter; kill jews and vipe out Israel. The arabs on the Westbank have the right to vote: so they elected Abbas who denied Holocaust and has the same charter as Hamas. Why do some people still go on claiming that these arabs do not have the right to vote??? Lisbeth

Indeed, the Jews in Israel did by what right the Native Americans should do in America. If the world was a fair place the Native Americans would be able to take back America, or rather if the world was really a fair place both the Jews and the Native Americans would not have lost their ancestral land to conquers in the first place.

@@mrrolight Well a Native American could show up to my doorstep and stake a claim to my property because it used to Native American land, the problem for him though is that it's USA land now because we won a bunch of wars and took it from the natives. Israel was created in the post-WWII environment with the blessing of the UN, then they promptly got attacked and they won all the wars, so they get the land. Losing wars has consequences.

Yet he’s against monetary reparations for African Americans. 🙄🙄🙄 can’t make this shit up. He’s also not ok with free health insurance, college (or even the covid $), but is fine when Israel provides this FOR FREE to their citizens. While we, the American taxpayers , pay for israel’s defense. $3 billion a year. This man can’t stand people that have a different paradigm than him or way of life. The rest of us have accepted it, moved past “American exceptionalism” and try to make ends meet.

Yah, what a great voice of logic. I love how he belittles "kids" for their position and his idea that Instagram is how they learn history. Well, im not a kid and im far.... FAR more educated on this topic than Bill is. There is nothing intelligent, logical or historically accurate with Bill and this topic. Its been a month since this video, how right is Bill? By Israels own, very questionable statistics, theyre at a 68% civilian casualty rate. More honest and probably more accurate organizations have it at nearly 90%. 13,000 children dead. Israel cut power, food and water to civilians. Theyre using white phosphorus against Palestinians. Not a day goes by where theyre not creaking 4 to 8 war crimes as defined by the Geneva conventions. Israel, multiple times, has called for and claimed goal is, genocide and ethnic cleansing. And this POS joke of a human wants to say "kids" are out of line? People like Bill cant claim its a war AND these are terrorists. It does not work like that. Its one or the other. And his BS history.... omg... yah Bill, the Jewish people were a part of that land... B.C. ... then the Christians controlled it for around 400 years, then pre-Muslims for another 200 to 300 years, then a couple Muslim empires like Ottoman, until like 1920. 😂 Hes so full of crap. How far back are we going to say is acceptable for reclaiming and, is everyone ready to apply that across the board?

@@PoldarkGodzilla your point is often stated, but it’s irrelevant. Many states and organisations have taken a similar approach. It neither qualifies nor precludes ones right to self determination or statehood. Just because someone wants you to die is not a good enough reason to get your kin to migrate to someone else’s country. The fact that the name “Palestine” wasn’t used historically is neither here nor there. Zimbabwe wasn’t used by locals in that country prior to colonisation, much of that country was part of the kingdom of Monomatapa, but that didn’t dilute the local tribes peoples claim to create a new state called Zimbabwe. The same can be said of the United Kingdom. Italy and Germany were not states until relatively recently either.

If u want to complain about a host "lecturing," you should go complain in the Daily Show's or Last Week Tonight's comment section. THE REAL TRUTH? Bill Maher failed to ask why did Hamas fired into Jerusalem in the first place. Of course you don't want to know. He rather shrug it off and react to Hamas rocket shooting. Let me cut and paste what I wrote earlier: The problem with Bill Maher's argument is that Israel has been under an obvious right-wing government, especially former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who encourage former President Donald Trump to agree the move of the Israeli capital to Jerusalem without the consent of the Palestinian Authority President, Mahmoud Abbas. Under Donald Trump (with his ugly behavior towards Palestinians), he snubbed President Abbas after Abbas complained about the capital move. This enraged so many people in Gaza when (on February 24, 2018) Prime Minister Netanyahu invited Trump to Israel for ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the new US embassy in Jerusalem. This was NOT a negotiation strategy that satisfied both sides because there was no negotiation. This was a one-sided issue that favored Israel 100%. Who can President Abbas complain to? Not the United States. What led Hamas to fire long-range rockets toward Jerusalem was in protest against the right-wing government of Israel's heavy-handed approach of threatening evictions of dozens of Palestinian families by Jewish settlers. Plus Israel's handling of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem. Hamas' violent response to the disrespect Israel and the United States did to ignore the Palestinian Authority, quickly gave Israel to launch airstrikes on Gaza. This was a shameful act by Israel and the United States, and Bill Maher tends to ignore this part.

This happened in SriLanka as well in the North during the war. The civilians were asked to move out by the terrorists as they thought the SL government could not win. What happened next is what happened to the Palestinians in 48 too. They couldn't win and go back. Got fucked over by the chaps apparently fighting for their rights... Neither of these are points willing to be discussed by liberal media. As a SL, my own family was asked to leave in the above mentioned incident. @@SelfAweh governing South African agencies who have studied both areas seem to also conclude the simulators. 🤔A 2009, legal study was commissioned and coordinated by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) of South Africa on Israel's practices in the occupied Palestinian territories under international law.[81] The report noted that one of the most 'notorious' aspects of the Apartheid policy was the 'racial enclave policy' manifested in the Black Homelands called bantustans, and added: "As the apartheid regime in South Africa, Israel justifies these measures under the pretext of 'security'. Contrary to such claims, they are in fact part of an overall regime aimed at preserving demographic superiority of one racial group over the other in certain areas".[82] According to the report, Israel's practices in the occupied Palestinian territories correlate almost entirely with the definition of apartheid as established in Article 2 of the International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid. Comparison to South African laws and practices by the apartheid regime also found strong correlations with Israeli practices, including violations of international standards for due process (such as illegal detention); discriminatory privileges based on ascribed ethnicity (legally, as Jewish or non-Jewish); draconian enforced ethnic segregation in all parts of life, including by confining groups to ethnic "reserves and ghettoes"; comprehensive restrictions on individual freedoms, such as movement and expression; a dual legal system based on ethno-national identity (Jewish or Palestinian); denationalization (denial of citizenship); and a special system of laws designed selectively to punish any Palestinian resistance to the system. The study found that: "the State of Israel exercises control in the Occupied Palestinian Territories with the purpose of maintaining a system of domination by Jews over Palestinians and that this system constitutes a breach of the prohibition of apartheid." The report was published in 2012 as Beyond Occupation: Apartheid, Colonialism and International Law in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.[83]

He also needs to read up on ancient history from sources other than the Bible apparently, which I find strange considering he’s an atheist! Regardless of whatever Bill wants to call modern day Palestinians, the genetic makeup of the people living between Mesopotamia and Egypt has been pretty much the same for thousands of years according to this joint study: www.nationalgeographic.com/history/article/dna-from-biblical-canaanites-lives-modern-arabs-jews?cmpid=int_org=ngp::int_mc=website::int_src=ngp::int_cmp=amp::int_add=amp_readtherest The only thing that’s wrong with this study in my opinion is the disparate effort to apply western biblical definitions to the area. I think the whole story of the Israelites in my opinion can be a misinterpretation or mistranslation of the original ancient Hebrew text, to the point that the entire geography of the Bible story could’ve taken place somewhere else. One fringe theory that is gathering momentum shows evidence of striking resemblance between the names of tribes and geography in the Bible to that of Yemen! It also explains why no record of the Hebrews was found in hieroglyphic records in Egypt.

It has everything to do with childish arguments like "War is a crime" as if there is not some unique, distinct thing called war crimes that we Americans pushed for as part of the international law in order to promote human liberty even at times of war and we should be proud of that. We should be proud of being a superpower that tried to not just exploit the world but rather bring some form of rights to all human beings, instead of using teenage boy level arguments to justify illegally occupying and settling foreign territory.

Let me make sense of what's happening today regarding voting. Palestinians allowed to vote. in the west bank, at 2005, they elected Abbas as President. In Gaza strip they elected Hamas in 2006. Abbas never held general election ever again, it is assumed that out of fear Hamas will win over the west bank. Hamas never held election ever again too because, well, they're not exactly big fans of democracy. Arabs living in Israel has the same right to vote as anyone and one Arab party (out of two) named "Ra'am" is about to be part of the new government.

You left out the part of Palestinians having their property stolen at gunpoint., Jewish ultra orthodox types encouraging Jewish terrorism against minorities and not just Arabs. Israeli state finding ways to strip Arabs of their Israeli citizen, duel sets of laws that make it difficult for non-Jews to buy property, and illegal settlement practices in violation of international law. the largest human rights groups in the world have been accusing the Israeli state of aparteid for years. Then of course you might want to mention far rights own "river to the sea" rhetoric while they complain about Hamas doing it. I believe Maher opposes a compromise of a two state solution much like Netanyahu and Hamas.

In the 1800's the Palestinians allowed the Christians to maintain their holy sites like the Church of the Holy Sepulture in Jerusalem and the Jews where allowed to maintain their wall in Jerusalem. In fact there where good relations between the Palestinians and the West until we stabbed them in the back at the Paris Peace Conference after World War One. They fought on our side in WW1 and liberated Aqaba from the Ottomans and helped Liberate Jerusalem. Then we turned around and made them a Protectorate of Britain all the while President Wilson was preaching "Self Determination for all Peoples". The British took away the right of the Palestinians to control their own immigration policy, resulting in a flood of unwanted Jewish Immigration that amounted to a virtual invasion. The British did see the error in their ways and tried to reverse the situation but it was too late and then the USA took over as the main benefactor of the Jews in Palestine. And the USA today complains about an increase in unwanted immigration from Mexico which is just a trickle compared to what the Palestinians where forced to take.
