Same here -- I was raised in a Democratic household with traditional liberal values, but the problem is that the DNC has essentially been taken over by Leftists. Many people don't seem to recognize the vast differences between traditional liberals and contemporary Leftists, but that distinction needs to be made. Democrats have gone so far off the deep end with these radical Leftist ideologies, that most rational liberals who care about truth and objectivity are now squarely on the conservative side, even if they're moderates just Right of center. They've completely regressed from the point of valuing content of character over color of skin, to holding race, gender, and identity politics over everything else. They continue to push this cultural Marxist BS about 'systemic racism' and 'white supremacy', along with their attempts to indoctrinate individuals with nonsense like CRT and baseless claims about 'oppressors' and 'the oppressed'. They make claims like, 'trust the science', while simultaneously perpetuating this gender dysphoria nonsense and endorsing child mutilation under the guise of 'gender affirming care for minors'.... It's truly sickening. They push completely divisive rhetoric which is blatantly anti-white, anti-Christian, and anti-American, while effectively creating this seemingly open border issue, which inevitably leads to the constant wave of hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants coming over -- thus putting a tremendous strain on our limited financial and law enforcement resources. Not to mention the obvious safety and security implications that have been made considerably worse. Yet they continue to threaten the 2A and self-defense rights of law abiding citizens at the same time.... I actually had an ancestor back in the colonies who was named Thomas Oscar Wicker, he immigrated from England to Virginia where he became an indentured servant to a man named Richard Aylisse who after his contract was up refused to release him and give to him what he was owed to him for the four years that he had served him, so he went to the court and was able to have the court rule in his favor to be recognized as a man and not as property and was able to gain both his freedom and the property that was promised to him. You will never hear anything about this from our institutions because it goes against the narrative that they are trying to push in our country.

I know perfectly well about indentured servants. It was not the same thing as slavery. Your ancestor went to court when he had a problem yet a slave would have no such option. They would have been killed on the spot and some freed black slaves could still be forced back into slavery by a racist who disregarded the law. Most importantly slavery was inherited- meaning your kids were born into slavery and were property. That did not happen to indentured servants. Slaves were killed if they wanted to read or learn. White indentured servants weren’t killed for reading. So please stop comparing the two. If you want to make a comparison for your ancestor it would be the illegal migrants crossing the border to work for poor wages- but it’s not slavery.

Yes. I was a stay at home Mum. I’m not American, but it’s the same. We also have the hard left telling women that it’s not ok to be a wife and mother. I raised two impeccable young men, and a wonderful caring young woman. They……made sure a progress report was submitted on time. I’m being a bit mean, but you know what I’m saying.

It isn’t shocking that a president does a political speech, specifically when his worldview remains politically contentious, guess some sense of perspective is needed here. But that’s different than turn the ceremony into a rally which I can’t say some I only saw these cuts. For what was shared, I really think it isn’t inspiring, but we know we can’t account on Fox do say something good about anyone outside trump’s entourage. That’s sad, but it is what it is. Overall it’s easy to become too cynical criticizing everything outside our “side” and endorse everything on ours. In my country we have a saying: “there’s no good that last forever nor harm that everlast”

I think Kat (and many others) missed the point of the Butker speech. He never said women SHOULD be that type of a woman. He said that not only is there nothing wrong with it but those taking that role should embrace it. I think it's a good message because for years society has been trying to shame me for being born white and male. Instead, I think I'll embrace it.

Wow, "I don't make dinner, I make money". I never thought she was that sharp of a pencil to be honest (being as nice as I can here) but she just hit a new low. I know people that make her look foolish in comparison (again, as nice as I can put it) when it comes to income, education, and ability to speak at least one language well, but you know what? They make dinner. They take care of their kids. They have a real life, they make real contributions to this economy, and they bring up the next generation, both through family and mentorship. I'm hoping she just had a bad moment and this kind of Hillary-like drivel doesn't return.

I used to listen to Bill Maher show, but in 2015 i became a conservative. Its nice to see him on Fox News though, even if i disagree with him. He said many negative things about Fox over the years so its a bit weird, but glad to see him nontheless.

Terrible speech....good grief!

I am a childless woman who put my career above having a family and I regret it. I made my choices and I live with it. The great thing about this country is that I had a choice. My sister chose to stay at home and raise her children and I respected that. We all have choices. We can choose to rise above them or be mired down in choices that people made long before us.

The other speech says women may go to work or be stay at home moms. Why aren’t people noticing that part?
