The reason why Ukraine and Israel is treated differently is the fact that too many people only see power imbalance as the measure of right and wrong.

I disagree. According to recent polls, 70% of the US citizens support Israel 100%. That means only 30% are affected by the propaganda. This is consistent with the history I've read. The German National Socialists before WW2 (I won't say their real name since youtube will hate me for it) only captured 30% of the German vote. If you read the history of WW2 you'll get a good idea why this allowed the socialists to come to power.. but the original point stands.. only a third of any population normally responds to propaganda in a way that is consistent with what the propagandists want. Most people can see through it. And Americans, God bless them, exemplify this point at this moment in history.

Yet, the Israeli government has NEVER recognized Palestine as an independent state. 🤷‍♀️ Yes, non-official Palestinian extremists & terrorists refuse to recognize Israel, but at the same token, Israeli extremeists & terrorists refused to recognize Palestine! Perhaps the main difference here is that some Israeli extremists actually officially work within the current Israeli extremist government, e.g. Itamar Ben Gvir, Bezalel Smotrich, & Yariv Levin!🤷‍♀️

the ones winning are Arms Contractors. $100 Billion in additional spending to the already $850 Billion annual spending. Where are the people worried about the national Debt? Eisenhower explained the Military Industrial Complex in his 1961 speech. Orwell explained it in 1984 - the war is not meant to be won, its meant to be endless. It's profitable, that's what matters.

@@sarge5000 War is profitable, therefore war is a good result. It doesn't matter who wins or loses. The US just spent Trillions fighting in Afghanistan. We lost. But profits were high. They asked Joe Biden about US Citizens getting health care his answer is 'How you gonna pay for it'. But it's a great idea to add $100 Billion in debt to help other countries spend for their wars? Nobody even pauses to think about adding $100 Billion to the debt - see Eisenhower's 1961 speech. Israel has universal healthcare, how about they take away their citizens healthcare to pay for some weapons? We are sending billions to Ukraine to keep their pension and health care payments (its not just weapons). Adding to the debt is great for a country we have no treaty obligation to and yet we call American citizens who paid for the social security system 'entitled leeches' Its beyond insane.

The uncomfortable truth is that 50+ countries are being out produced by one that is spending less than 1/5th of what we spend on ours. A country that has a better economic forecast than most EU nations ,winning both on the economic and military fronts despite it being one of the most heavily sanctioned countries on earth. I guess the point being that you can't just throw money at the problem, you need to spend it wisely. Every war nato is backing could've easily been solved over the phone using basic diplomacy.

Ukraine was very much told from the beginning "Don't win too much". Weapons given to them had their ranges shortened. Thank you UK for crossing the line with Challenger tanks and Storm Shadow. They've been prevented from attacking into Russia with US supplied weapons. How can you not attack troops massing on your border when you are already at war? They've been told to not hit Russian oil infrastructure after sanctions were ineffective and largely bypassed. They've been supplied just enough to prolong the war without letting them succeed in evicting Russian invaders. Would the summer offensive have been successful if Ukraine had ATACMs? We'll never know, but they've been hitting Russian airfields, boats, and training and supply depots hard since they got the few they were supplied.

Together with the harm done to the civilian population, they are breeding the next generation of Hamas (or whatever next terrorist organization). As of May 5th the death toll in Gaza was estimated at 35,000. If that sounds high to anyone they are uneducated on war & the history of war in the last century. Bombing of Dresden killed 25,000 in two days, Bombing of Hamburg killed 45,000 in 7 days of bombing, Battle of Berlin saw the deaths of up to 125,000 civilian deaths in two weeks of fighting. Israel has been at war in Gaza with the IDF fully mobilized with continuous street fighting, artillery bombardment, & bombing for 7 whole months straight, about to be 8 months, & yet there are only 35,000 deaths? If Israel is committing genocide then they are doing a terrible job at it, killing that many people should have taken less than a month, 35,000 deaths is a minimalistic number nothing short of a miracle that the IDF has achieved especially given just how densely populated Gaza is, people forget just how tiny that stretch of land is, only 25 miles long, it would not have been hard for them to wipe out the entire population if they really wanted to, with their amount of munitions i estimate 5 days at most & Gaza could be flattened, as war wrecked Gaza is, its anything but flattened & its population spared of what the IDF could really do.

A few things here, Hamas has a history of using citizens as meat shields so there's that point. Secondly more tactical, what exactly are you expecting on that front? A few things to note, whether you agree with the statement or not, Israel views oct 7 as their 9/11. Which as we can see from america's reaction to 9/11 is a huge major emotionally motivating factor. Secondly Hamas started this war and it is essentially seen by Israel as ''if we don't get rid of hamas now they will do it again'' Lastly Over the years, many countries who initially criticized the actions of Israel , later agreed with them. Notably, operation opera in destroying Hussein's nuclear plant that was going to be used to destroy Israel.

The palestinans mostly weren't forced off "their" land by Israelis, nope Sir, that was by the arab states. They ordered and forced the people off these land so not to get into the crossfire. Ben Gurion and Golda Maier tried to convince them to stay and be a part of Israel, they wouldn't. Well, they lost and that was the price to pay, as every aggressor has to pay. It wasn't forced back to its native shores. It began scaling itself down after WW2 because it was not economically beneficial or sustainable and a massive movement promoting independence and self determination for the colonies, had started both in the UK and its overseas territories. The next step was to take the logical and best move, which was to then grant full independence to those peoples that wanted it and those that wanted to keep close ties with the UK regarding trade and political relations, were made to be members of the commonwealth.

There were certainly uprisings and wars, and they did play a part, but ultimately it was because of what i mentioned above that was the cause of the dismantling of the British empire, if it wasn't there would be no commonwealth, it would not and could not exist. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commonwealth_of_Nations If any conflicts were the cause of the end of the British empire, it would be WW1 and WW2 and this was because fighting these wars bankrupted the UK. Funnily enough the biggest volunteer army in history was from the former British colony which is India in WW2. Nobody tipped their cap and said cheerio, and the only people to ever "force the British back to their native shores" were the Nazis in 1940 and that was anything to do with colonialism or empire. You could argue the French did following the 100 years war, but that was really just the English who were ruled by a King who was descended from French. Complicated old business is history.
