I gotta say, I completely disagree with your takes in this video. There is no real evidence that shows that Kamilla will be out for the season, that’s just complete speculation, sure your Satou point is valid but we don’t know that Kamilla is dealing with the same thing Satou did. The Sky aren’t looking to tank. Angel and Kamilla aren’t that same type of player. The Sky are in a better position than the Sparks in terms of their roster and future prospects. I think you are forgetting that we have Chennedy coming off the bench, Dana is a good starting PG, and MM is going to get shots. The Sky will be good this year, assuming no more injuries, and you are seriously underestimating their talent Overall I really like your video content, but this one is pretty off. Keep up the good work, the more WBB content creators we have out there the more fan engagement grows.

@QuitaLovesSports Hi Quita thanks for the comment. In terms of Kamilla shoulder I think it is pretty clear on the video that it was a anterior subluxation. If you look at video, you can see the player point at her shoulder and how it is bulging. As well you can see the mechanism of injury as she lands on her elbow causing it to pop out. The trainer comes out and rotates her shoulder interior and it pops it back in. When the shoulder pops out (head of humerus) tears the labrum of the shoulder which makes it more prone to pop out in the future. The Sky basically tell us this in that she will be re-evaluated in 4 to 6 weeks. After doing strengthening exercises they was see if she is able to play with it staying in or not. But normally they will need to go in and repair the labrum to prevent it for subluxing over again. The question is when, is 6 weeks because it keeps pops out and not stable enough or can she get it done after the season. Now the exception is Alyssa Thomas as she rehabbed her shoulder and did not have surgery. But that is why her shot is so funky. In terms of the sky not looking to tank. Well, they traded their best player (Copper) for draft picks. They let Courtney Williams get away via free agency so they will be bad this season. it is unlucky for them that James Wade gave away their draft pick. They might get a good pick as I think the Mercury will be bad as well. TBD. But overall, I think the LA Sparks are taking their medicine and rebuilding much in the same way the fever did. I thought that is what the Sky were doing but then they gave away swap right to their pick in 2026 which was not very smart in my opinion. The fun thing is in time will tell on all of the speculation will be answered. We will know in about 4 to 6 weeks if Kamilla can play. Hopefully she can. We will see if you or I are right in terms of Chicago being good this year. I don't see them making playoffs. a number 8 seed at best. Top 4 teams are Aces, Liberty, Sun, and Storm. battle last 4 between 5 teams Dream, Lynx, Fever, Wings, Mercury and then see the bottom 4 as these 3 teams - Sky, Mystics, Sparks and one that falls from the 5. I think it will be the Mercury as I think they are going to struggle with injuries. TBD. BTW I like your content as well. Good luck to the Sky.

@@back2sports988 I understand your explanation about your injury theory, it’s just we don’t know for sure if that’s what’s wrong with her shoulder as the Sky haven’t actually put a name to the injury. They traded Kah because she wasn’t happy and wanted to leave, they made the most of that trade to get some really good picks. The Sky didn’t let Courtney go, she wanted to leave for better perks. The team is looking to win games now, and should finish either in 7th or 8th place, assuming Kamilla comes back as scheduled and there are no more injuries. But as always we will see. The thing I love about YT is that there lives a record of what was said so we will see if you are right or if I am, or if we are both wrong. Either way we are in for a great season of the WNBA. Keep doing your thing

You must not know of the center they have in Williams or watch their preseason games. Don’t get me wrong, Cardoso is a great player and her presence will be missed for now but let her nurse her shoulder for a lil while cuz the Sky will need her towards the end of the season and the playoffs. I know she was battling some injuries in college and coming off of the championship run with SC is prob a lot on her body and she needs to rest. It’s only been a little over a month since the tournament

they replace knee braces, athletic-tape, which are used for MUSCLE issues (soreness, strains, etc.) = extremely good sports technology = "legging's" got more players on the court, than them sitting on the bench, from nagging injuries

I really like basketball and all the teams in the WNBA. If I say a team is going to be bad, it is nothing personal and it obviously based on my opinion. You could be right about Kamilla but that would be worse case. According to her she’ll be back in a couple weeks and she’s been seen doing one on one drills with T Spoon as recent as yesterday but we’ll see. That being said she could have to do surgery later too as you pointed out.

Terrible luck for Cardoso. Reese's game is unconventional but effective for what it is. In the WNBA preseaon, she's showing she can get boards and make some tough shots around the rim at that level. As raw as her game is now, I hope she gets time to develop and they don't expect too much too soon.

I had a fall like this once 11 years ago and my shoulder has never been the same since. It dislocates about 5 times a year. Very unstable. The only way to fix it is with surgery. No amount of PT or muscle hardening has helped

When I first heard Cardoso was going to be out for a while, my first thought was how devastated Quita will be. I know she's a big fan of the Sky and that Quita was absolutely elated when the Sky got both Cardoso and Reese. Unfortunately, injuries happen, and I hope that Cardoso will be back sooner than expected. If that happens, Sky fans will be dancing in the streets.

check out comments below. I have been advised by Q in comments that 100% speculation on my part in regard to injury as well, that I am under estimating the sky. BTW she did it in a nice way. As I said to her, we shall see in terms of Cardoso. Hope I am wrong and she is playing but I do think it is iffy. However I do think the sky will be a lottery team.

The first round pick next year wil get Caitlin 2.0 with paige next year. I see some tanking happening this season. Especially since it looks like Paige's buddy looks to be all she's cracked up to be

damn, your "subscribers" are ruthless! 🤣😂 you made some very valid points regarding cardoso's injury! hell, now im convinced she might not make it back this summer! i think i remember in another video where you said you used to be an emt (??), so it's not like youre pulling a diagnosis out of your ass--you kinda know what youre talking about! and generally speaking, how many laypeople use terms like "anterior subluxation" without knowing what that is and a possible prognosis! if this becomes a life-long nagging injury, i do feel so very sorry for her, as i watched the espn full court press documentary and have a whole new empathy for kamilla. anyway, good video. youre not the only one who's got the sky near the bottom of the barrel. it'll be a good season nonetheless, with lots of new eyeballs. unless caitlin gets hurt.... god i can only imagine!

They love to hate me! LOL. My trade is physio but these hands are now for typing. People get really bent out of shape when I speculate on injuries but try to explain it is my best educated guise. People more than happy to speculate on wins and losses but feel injuries are no go. I don't. With Cardoso have had many defence members go to ground and pop out shoulder and when it happens they most always need surgery as their shoulder continues to pop out after the first one. Hence why I think she needs surgery but it might be done at the end of year. TBD.

They didn't need to trade up to get Reese. Minnesota wasn't going to select her anyway. You, like everybody else, see Reese as a scrub, yet she keeps putting up numbers and winning championships at every level she plays. People always claim her selection to anything is some roll of the dice. That's the same thing they said when she went to LSU, and she managed to do just fine and win a championship, something the so-called god of basketball couldn't pull off. People don't hate Reese and her game because they know basketball. They just hate the person she is, and, like you, talking heads are perfectly willing to use bashing her to secure their channel with clicks and something to talk about because they can't seem to come up with the creativity to put our great content. So what? Everybody hates Reese and her game, but nobody hates the subject of Angle Reese so much that they can't stop trying to make themselves relevant by analyzing her every breath, word, and move. If her game is so awkward and raggedy, and you find her so distasteful, why do you constantly spend your time making content with her in it? I really find it odd? Find someone's game that you appreciate and talk about them? You act like Reese is the only player in the center of the universe who does something unorthodox or who has a nontraditional game on the planet. I come to the channel to hear about Kamilla Cardosa, and you spend the bulk of the video talking about what Reese can't do playing a position that she isn't likely to play due to the fact that the Sky has a starting center.

Definitely Not a scrub. BUT Angel has no mid range shot in her bag. If she wants to be elite, she needs to develop that mid level threat. Otherwise, she'll be a defensive star at one end and offensive liability at the other.

@@brandonleemoss Yes, but it's not about one game. For a sustainable career she needs a consistent mid level shot. It will allow her to set up moves all around the rim. I disagree with others that say she needs to improve her outside shot. Yes, Improving the outside shot would be a bonus. But for her to reach that next level of player, she NEEDS to be a mid level threat. She's not big enough nor strong enough to spend all her time banging with the bigs. A consistent Mid range will draw out the bigs and then she can either draw the foul (she desperately need to work on free throw as well) or drive by them.

@@back2sports988 She played point in high school and she's ambidextrous. Seriously! I don't know if she can play it on the pro level but definitely could fill-in for a quarter. I don't think people give her enough credit for the whole Caitlin thing which is crazy because hoopers don't take it personally. I'm not saying you in particular but the media can give a completely false narrative about a player and their skill set. Sometimes positive sometimes negative. James Wade James Wade the trade that never stops giving uh? However, I feel truly bad for the player Cardoso who now has a potentially longterm injury. I wished her all the best and a speedy recovery. Also, it’s now on Angel Reece to develop her complete game especially that outside jump shot. If she does develop that outside shot we could have a supper star in the making. I honestly wish Cardoso and Chicago all the very best.

Hard to argue with that. Yep James wade - how he gave up that much for a restricted free agent that Dallas don't not want to keep. It was amazingly bad.

In his vids he expresses why he thinks a particular thing will happen. It is good to get opinions. He doesn't just state something, he gives his reasons why he believes his theory.

Camilla is definitely out for season spoke with two trainers on staff for Sky. Said they think they are gonna have her do the surgery
