@jrayford8806 one could blame it on poor playing performance by Women; turnovers, missed shots forcing time outs, or horrible referees who can’t see a thing & have to constantly review on a small screen, or the fact that the WNBA is broke & everyone there’s a review or timeout it goes to commercials & that is AD REVENUE making them a bit of change to throw in the bucket. It’s all rigged system imo…

I think the offense needs to change. The offense should be built around the skills of the players you have, not merely try to insert a player into an offense, unless it already accommodates her skills. That is not the case here.

Yeah, it will take some time to build this program. Also, Boston needs to lose some weight, get in the weight room and build some muscle. She is living off the laurels of her college days and needs to get her butt in shape enough to run up and down the court and also catch the ball. Where is all the put downs on Boston.People are say are saying she is slow, can't jump, low IQ,playing like trash and other things, like she should not be an olympian, and how was she an all star.To quote a famous singer"you must don't know bout"her. Please Google her.She won a title ,player of the year,2 defensive players of the year all and other accolades, all in college. She was coached by the great Dawn Staley and trains with Tim Duncan. She has a very high IQ.She came to the Fever last year that had only won 6 games. She doubled that to 13 last season. She averaged a double-double last year. She was and is the best defender on the team by far.Mitchell never got on an all star team until Boston came to the team. She was and is constantly doubled and triple team with different looks depending on the team. This year and last, besides Smith there is no other help on the boards or interior defense. And people ask why was she rookie of the year.In her 5 games this she has been matched up with Breanna Stewart,Jonquel Jones,Alyssa Thomas and Nneke. Now you add Clark, outstanding like Boston, but have played together in this system for 5 games. And I love Clark, but she made some mistakes too. What are people expecting? They played together for 5 games. And Boston has beefed up because where is he defensive help or rebounding help?I can only name Smith on the boards, but what about defense.Has anyone payed attention to Boston's block shot totals?Or how about how many times she sets screens for Clark to get up shots.Boston is not a transtiion player. Her strength is the half court.Get her the ball in the paint and let her go to work and draw fouls.Smith and Hull are the transition players. My point is,this is not a 3 woman team(Clark,Boston, and Smith). And Mitchell supplies nothing else if she does not score. Those three can't do everything.Winning championships is not just about what your stars do.Are the role players consistent? The league is at a point now where there is too much talent on each team to rely on two stars to win the game. And the coaching strategy is horrible. But I end by saying, its only been five games.Did people expect them to dominate immediately?Your expectations are too high. This team needs to work on chemistry with the goal being....Get to the playoffs.

I at first thought Clark had mishandled the pass, but when I watched it a second time in slow-motion (& I have watched it many times since), I saw that the pass from Wallace was behind Clark. She didn’t lead Clark to the pass. The TO should have been charged to Wallace and not Clark, just like when Clark was charged with a TO in I think it was their 2nd game when she threw an outlet pass to Temi but it was a little behind her and she could not handle it. It is difficult to be running in one direction and try and reach back in the other to catch a ball.

Yes she is in a bad slump but unlike some other players on the team like Wheeler & Wallace. Boston is trying to help CC, not sabotage her.

You get real...Clark has passed the ball behind players and at their ankles all season...hell, she's averaging 6 turnovers a game in the WNBA, which is consistent with what she did at Iowa, where she was a Big Ten turnover leader, averaging 5 TURNOVERS PER GAME FOR FOUR YEARS. If they had data on her 4 years in high school, it would undoubtedly indicate the same...its who she is...amongst all the fancy long shots, she consistently is involved in turnovers.

Clark would have to be stupid to need a coach to tell her that. Instead of doing what Jordan and all other great guard do, Clark sulked and quit. @ljsmixbox44

@waldolydecker8118 This is where you're not making sense in your comment. First of all...Clark is a rookie that's adjusting to playing in the WNBA, night in and night out rather every Saturday like the NCAA does. And a rookie is going to go through a lot of things in their first season as a professional basketball player. Here's the difference. When Jordan came out of college to play for the Bulls.. He had Phil Jackson, who is one of the best NBA head coaches. Jackson had seen how Jordan played at NC. And it wasn't long before Jordan became a captain early in his career. On the other hand... The Indiana Fever head coach failed to see Clark's talent when she was at Iowa. She's smart and aggressive. She knows how to move ball upcourt, and she can find players. Her IQ is high in basketball. Even Kobe had it rough his rookie season with the Lakers, but head coach Pat Riley let Kobe stay in the games so he could groom himself to play in the Lakers system. Kobe also became a captain early in his career. He wasn't the best in his rookie season, but the "Black Mamba" had become one of the best NBA players on the basketball court. He was a thinking man, like Jordan.. So you just can't dwell on the negative in Clark. I don't look at Clark, Kobe, or Jordan as the goat. That just brings up an argument. There are good players, better players, and great players.

Your "rookie" excuses for Clark are also phony. When Clark was at Iowa, YOU said she was ALREADY the GOAT...the greatest player ever and she was already better than every player in the WNBA. Now that you and the media's lie is being exposed with every Clark game, you are trying to distance yourself from all your early Clark claims. If Clark was already better than every WNBA player like you and the media said she was, then being a rookie is irrelevant. Stop trying to reverse what you had been saying for the past year about Clark. Now that you see Clark getting her azz kicked by multiple players across the WNBA, you full of excuses, lol. She lost control which led to Boston's jump-ball and we know how that ended up. At 6:14 (after the 1st failed inbounds) Sides hesitates for SECONDS as she has no idea what to draw up - If I'm the front office, that indecisiveness/deer-in-headlights look concerns the crap out of me!

CC looks better on defense, she's moving her feet better. But, whenever she makes critical mistakes on the offensive end her 'supporters' don't like to mention them. But the team as a whole looked much, much better. As you can tell those three point bombs from CC are not there. All the teams the Fever has been playing take away that option.

She has been hitting threes I don’t know what games you’ve been watching but as you saw she got double teamed, which she does a lot in games and on Iowa they actually ran plays for her to get open. They don’t do none of that here. I’m starting to think they might need a new coach. They’ve got two All-Stars on their team now and the supporting cast could be doing better but the coaching just isn’t there in my opinion. Having 2 terrible seasons, and then starting out 0-5 she needs to be replaced/fired. She does not have what it takes obviously. Plus Clark was doing good and she took her out a majority of the last five minutes and then they came back then she wanted to put her back in absolutely terrible coaching.

While other players are just standing around watching when CC is getting double & triple teamed, Boston is the one coming over to help her. Many of the home team announcers for the WNBA are more concerned with hyping up the home team than calling the game. You should hear the announcers for the Aces. They barely pay attention to what is happening in the actual game & barely mention any of the actual plays. They just spend most of the game just praising the accomplishments of Aja Wilson & then occasionally they take a break to praise the rest of the Aces team. The Fever has Debbie Antonelli announcing games & she is very good & knows what she is talking about.

@@amyk6319 - Debbie Antonelli is no different than the other home announcers....she is paid by Indiana to praise the home team, so she spends all game praising everything Clark does and making excuses when she and her team screw up. That's how it goes...as a Clark fan you love Antonelli cause she's part of the Indiana overall team. The other announcers across the league rightfully give a different perspective when Clark comes to their building. They rightfully desire their home team to win like Antonelli prefers to see Indiana win.

@@waldolydecker8118 Actually I don't think I listened to the Fever's home commentary yet, so your right I cannot speak to that specifically. But I did hear Antonelli as a guest commentator for the first Aces game & I've seen some interviews she's done. And she is smart & knows the game well enough to give insight into the plays of the game. And I've heard all the commentators praise Clark at times. My issue is when team commentators seem more interested in doing general promo for things the team or specific players are doing outside the games vs providing a play by play of the actual live game you are watching. For ex. I thought the Sparks home commentators did a great job of calling the game & giving detailed play by plays.

You've got it azz backwards, Scoobie.....Clark was suppose to be THE HELP. The GOAT...like Jordan going to the last place Bulls and immediately taking them to the playoffs as a rookie....or Larry Bird going to the last place Celtics and immediately taking them to the playoffs WITH THE BEST RECORD IN THE LEAGUE his rookie year. They did it with the same losing players from the previous year. How come Clark has no impact on her team winning like Jordan and Bird did? Jordan and Bird didn't blame their losing teammates or make excuses...they got the job done and took their teams to the playoffs. Too many excuses for Clark, when Clark is suppose to be the greatest player of all time, as you and her other fans repeatedly declared.

The Fever were very very bad last year. They are only very bad this year. That's an improvement, but the team still sucks, and the coach sucks too. However , C.C. is looking pretty good for a rookie 5 games in. She is going to get WAY BETTER and it's going to make you HATERS CRY

Be honest. It was a poor pass. CC had forward momentum and the pass forced her to reach backwards while going forward. I'm not saying that it wasn't catchable, but it was an easy pass to lead CC to the baseline to catch it. How...how was that pass so bad?

It was a bad pass. You don’t pass the ball to her left when she is clearly moving to her right and to the ball, therefore anybody with a brain passing the ball in would lead the shooter. She didn’t, the passer took the shot out of CCs hands. I am not defending CC because I like her or think she is the greatest player, I am just pointing out facts from a “shooters” viewpoint. If you have ever played bball, you always pass to the shooter’s hands, this pass wasn’t passed to her hands as she had to reach back. You have no credibility if you think that the passer didn’t make a bad pass.

@@MrMakeItHappen1 Technically, a ball is "catchable" if there is only a 1% chance of it being caught. You are purposely oversimplifying and omitting all possibilities and contexts to push a narrative. Regardless of a ball being "catchable" doesn't negate the criticism of a pass. Not every pass that's "catchable" is good. Did the pass lead her to the correct spot? Yes or no?

That was NOT a good inbound pass to Clark. The pass is suppose to go where Clark is going so she has the bst chance to get the shot off. That pass was behind her. The flipside is, Clark had both hands on the ball. We say this about football players all the time, if it hits your hands, it's a catch. Looks like Clark was trying for a catch a shoot.

Jewel Loyd accomplished MORE, but the decision makers decide to show everything Clark does and nothing Loyd does...this is how Clark became a household name while the other top players were minimized.
