    teddy resource management is off the charts. He doesn't constantly build units, he only builds them when he needs them and then sneaks in eco. Like when he saw bombers coming by, most players wouldn't have enough resources to build 10 anti-air turrent but since he doesn't constantly build units and harass with such little units to great effect.

    I've noticed Teddy is insanely good at having reclaim units in the front line. He'll always sneak in one or two things to reclaim the wreckage during skirmishes which is something that most players don't do. The other part is his great micro to get the t2 construction bots to upgrade his extractors while also having the foresight to build construction turrets around them. I wouldn't be surprised if he's microing the construction turrets to build units or eco depending on what he wants.

    The bot will finish the current unit its boosting and then switch to the next task assigned. Its really fucking nice, and something I discovered early on in my learning the last few days.

    A big takeaway from teddy's play is his positioning of forward unit facilities. It really makes a big difference in the tug-of-war. It's a high risk decision because if you lose your front line you lose your tech, but it gave him a strong edge against his opponents in both games. I really liked seeing the forward vehicle plant in game 1, that's a very strong choice. I love the Cortex Riot Tank - the pounder, I think it's called. It has really good AOE and its projectile speed is too fast to micro away from. The issue is that it is slow, so it has issues reaching the front line and cannot avoid rockets or artillery so well. Sprinkling a few of those in when your vehicle plant is on the front line is never a bad idea and helps you trade extra efficiently especially when you are dealing with clustered bots. I think it's worth mentioning that starting air or focusing heavily on air isn't always a bad decision. If an enemy is sacrificing a com to tech or rush nukes, or if a map has back-line positions, it can make a lot of sense. In game 1, teddy used a surgical bomber strike to take out a nuke silo when it was scouted by his team. That is EXACTLY what air is for - hitting high-value targets behind the line. Air really starts getting important once Fusion/AFUS, nukes, gantries, and LRPCs start coming up. When enemy strats involve putting those out early than normal, air becomes important earlier than normal as well. Going air heavy absent an enemy nuke or tech rush makes the most since on maps with back line positions and lots of unreachable high-ground plateaus. A good air player will use their flying constructors to sprinkle radar, artillery, and AA all over their side of the map in hard to reach locations. Air players can build anywhere without travel time issues and will abuse this fact heavily. Neither of the maps in this video were appropriate for air-heavy strategies and absent a nuke or tech rushing opponent, it always makes sense to start ground and produce ground units even as a back line player who intends to do a lot of scouting and bombing.

    Playing air early you are either doing a bombing run or creating fighter air protection from bombers. I tried to play a funnier role a while ago where i was airdropping turrets and con turrets around as well... Air Support

    An air scout is never a bad investment, really helps the team out, you can salvage the facility after you're done

    @@DigitalHawk96 Like I said, it usually only makes sense to play early air if the enemy is saccing a com to tech. Then you'll have valid targets to hit at 10-15 minutes. It's not always a bad idea, it just usually is a bad idea. It was different back in the day when fighter planes could shoot down, though, and 100 fighters could snipe a com

    To me Bar is a great game to watch and play... to watch you see that there is real stategy on the high level plays. with build orders and types of units, in team based ones is even better... with more time it will replace FFA just because is a more mordern game and it can be expanded in more ways.

    because, they make units, kill the enemy and reclaim dead metal. expand to take metal spots. most players spend too much metal on making energy and build power instead of units to kill the enemy and get more metal. once you have more metal from killing the enmy and reclaiming and ghetting the metal spots you can build more energy and more units.

    6:40, you can just build and shift right click the factory, it will finish building and go to the factory and boost stuff, the other way around works just the same, you can right click the factory, and when you want to build, just shift click to build, it will finish the unit and build, it won't stay locked on the factory for ever. It does get lock to the factory if you send a worker in patrol, then it will try to turn and keep moving but the next unit starts to build and it will back and boost that unit.

    Liked the vid, some good informative stuff. Only thing I would say is that i wish you went into a little more detail at the beginning. For example once we get a little into the match you say he's going to keep going tanks and slowly work up his eco but like what tanks are he building and what eco buildings are he going for? I saw him going for some advanced solar and some pounders for tanks but i'm not sure what other tanks he was going and when and why he swapped to the better eco buildings. I'm still super new so its like you say he's doing things but i don't get how and what exactly he is building. Still a great vid, i'm just struggling with what to do early and a little more detail in what he's doing would be awesome!

    He shift clicked the unit being built to assist instead of guarding the factory. A con bot guarding a factory assists it forever until you tell it to do something else.

    Hey Winter, You should look at doing a cast of this game: 8v8 Ice Screamv2.4, players [teh]Teddy, Fireplut, Flash and Spoder. Its really wild, Teddy has a nutty build where he had no unit producing building for a while, defends with prebuilt grunts and tower defence, while flash tried to rush nukes. End game has one player with like 15 Titans to give you an idea where it goes.

    They are the weakest air unit in the game and extremely easy to shoot down. Pretty much everything 1-shots them. They are as disposable as air can get. Using them is about timing, making sure your units are in position to take advantage of the EMP before the drones get shot down or the EMP wears off. On the second game you will see Teddy sending his units in just before sending the paralyzers, rather than paralyzers first, so they both hit closer to eachother in time. Shurikens are one of the only air units that can be reliably killed by ground-based lasers and bullets, so you want to flood the enemy units with as many targets as possible simultaneously to prevent too many from getting shot down. You want at least 1 shuriken per enemy t1 unit, 2 to 3 shurikens per enemy t2 unit that you are trying to paralyze. Units have an "emp health" that determines how hard they are to emp, loosely based on their tech level / hp pools. Countering them is a matter of getting 2 or 3 AA bots behind your front line. It's a minimal investment to counter shurikens. Lots of times air players will scramble their fighters to kill shurikens which means you can use them to bait enemy fighters away from something you're trying to bomb. They are actually very effective for dealing with back-line harass, since raider units are usually isolated and unsupported and enemy air will usually die before they can get to your back line to take out shurikens, so they can allow you to take out raiding forces with a few grunts. By tier 2, a single t2 AA bot can AOE huge amounts of air units, so if you have a t2 army and your opponent is using shurikens, just build one or two ground-based flak units to nullify the whole strat.

    me, a lowly 20-24 player. have achieved this on this map. completly owning the entire map against players of this same level (ignoring teddy) by just watching some games people played using the best tactics ive seen and practice vs bots. this map in particular is actually 8 lanes. and people make the mistake of thinking they can backline. when theres actually 8 lanes each person needs to fullfill and push. ill add using bombers. the one and only best way to use all bombers except the atomic bomber is to only use attack ground. which is A single left click. the bombers carpet bomb that area. and you change the target area as you go. splitting bombers up to reduce AOE aa weapons also recommended. with atomic due to a guided munition can attack units directly. but A+left click attack ground i still feel is the best but not necessarily the only way to make them actually work. reclaiming t2 factory and building units with the combat engineer is 100% the way to go for ALL high rank games for ALL frontline players. you do this until you build an AFU eco then either rebuild a t2 factory or gantry. because this map is high metal with lots of easy extractors eco is different. allowing for slightly different eco pathing than a 5-6 extractor (per player)map.

    There’s always a lot of focus on starting builds but I would like to see more tips on mid game and frontline strats. I have such a hard time accidentally bottlenecking or way overflowing and I am not understanding what I need to be focusing on with my Econ as a frontliner

    "GG" when people say gg in balance annihilation and which is now BAR its a meme thing people say it just for anything like how you will see players saying "op" doesnt mean the game is over. You will see players rushing mexes and saying gg so those two words are different meaning to the other games we play.

    win games. you get more for winning a game when your team is ranked lower and less for winning a game where your team is ranked higher. also uncertainty is a thing. so new players are uncertainty and will gain or lose rank quicker than an established player.

    Storage is useful with a lot of wind... It balances out when it's running slow. And also for storing DGun uses and/or extended stealth for a walking commander.

    The chat on the opposing teams. Oh dear. People get tilted and toxic way too easily. Just accept that you were fighting against a top tier opponent, that it was a fair fight but you were outmatched. All this blaming the rest of the team for not being able to dominate their own fight and have enough spare forces to come help yours as well, is just so painfully childish. Congratulate the enemy, rather than chastise your allies. If a player on your team was doing something legitimately and objectively wrong, then explain to them constructively why not to do that in future. Don't just trash talk them in a tantrum. I'm gonna keep saying about this game, that there's actually two win conditions, not one. Everyone knows you gotta kill the commanders, but the real win condition more often than not, is team morale break, and tilted players that are quick to rage in chat, might as well be team killing.

    This Game is good, but the Development and Management Team is so annoying, unfriendly and sorry stupid. They suspend your account with no Reason. Beyond all Reason. If you Login on the same computer from different accounts, like me and my friend, you get banned and if you open a ticket they dont help you. My friend played the game on my computer, then i want to play on my computer with a new account and they supsend both accounts 1000 Years. Thery are paranoid. The name of game should be. "Accouts supsended Beyond all Reason". I tried to solve the problem in a Ticket, but they still think we are on Person. Imagine you just want to play a game and they blame you and your friend you are one person. DONT SUPPORT THIS SHIT !!!

    I wonder why teddy chose to go wind in game two with 4/12 wind but solar in game one with 0/15 wind. Is it because of the tree reclaim in game two, or is it because he values the higher low in game two over the higher high in game one? Could it even be because he has more space in game two? Or do teddy just do what teddy want?

    A) wind speed in game 1 dipped at the start of the game B) wind dipping to 0 is a HUGE risk.

    Yeah, like MasterBel says, 0 wind speed is a risk of having a total eco shutdown, which in early game is unacceptable. Solar's reliability is valuable in the opening minutes of the game for avoiding that RNG. I'm not sure what energy generation 4 wind speed results in, but it's a lot better than nothing.
