The new GX drivetrains playing funny buggers though, the bike came with a bent hanger, which I straightened to a good position. Its vague in the middle, worst I’ve ever had from an Eagle drivetrain. The 55 chainline is wak as well and might play a part in it also. Once I get some shorter cranks The thing will be a bullet

I just bought a 2021 Cube Stereo 170 Race 29er last week and it is amazingly good with 170mm fox 38 fork and float x2! Sram GX 52T with 30T crank helps on the uphill. It is in category 5 not like others, aluminium is durable enough. Too good for the money 2923 Euros inc. 16% tax in Germany.

Kinda getting the nod that these Value Enduros are coming better spec'd than similarly priced trail bikes. At least fork-wise it seems. Geo isn't that far off from what Im seeing on some of the slacker trail bikes. I was looking into a trail bike, but I think I'm going to expand my search range into these more budget friendly endoro bikes too. Thanks for the vids like this.

hey, I may be a little late but would you say buying the parts separate is worth it? I'm asking because, for example I dont care so much if I have the best dropper seat, drivetrain, however brakes are very important for me? Can you actually save some money by building custom or is it more expensive in any way?

I just would like to say, that damper isn’t the only difference between yari and lyrik. Lyrik has also lighter and stiffer crown which is convenient for enduro riding. Just keep that in mind... I thing it’s better choice to upgrade whole fork than just a damper which is not particulary cheap upgrade. You can try, but yari is never gonna perform same as lyrik... that’s why you have 2 different names - yari and lyrik

Chain stays are super long (especially considering this bike is offered as a mullet). Wheelbase on a M is equivalent to a Capra XXL!! Don’t you think something’s wrong? Sorry guys, but I think you have forgotten the Propain Tyee/Spindrift. The Tyee starts at 2300€ and you can configurate anything you want to have. I really like that Nukeproof Mega Comp; I think it's my overall favourite sub-$5K bike. I wasn't particularly impressed by the Reactor Comp, as there are better specified bikes, with similar geometry, for less money (especially since Polygon updated the geometry of the Siskiu T7/8). Considering that Enduro bikes tend to cost more than equivalently specified trail bikes, that Nukeproof offers the Mega for the same price as the Reactor is very welcome. While the Comp still isn't the best spec-to-price bike here (I think Polygon still wins that one again, the N9 has awesome spec for only AU$300 more than the Mega Comp; shame the geo sucks), the Mega's very impressive geometry, coupled with the excellent upgradability of the fork and drivetrain as you mentioned, make it very compelling to me. I must admit I was a little disappointed to see a Select R instead of Select+ (lockout) rear shock, but the reviews I've seen/read of the 2021 Mega (including a review of the Comp) praised its climbing ability, so apparently it's not an issue.

@@trailtalkmtb6603 If I was going to spend more than the Mega Comp I'd probably try and snag a Privateer 161, but I do really like the 2021 Mega lineup in general, and the Comp definitely has one of the better "upgrade paths" of any of the bikes here. Actually, the Mega 290 Carbon Factory is my money-no-object dream bike (although I'm not a fan of the colour; thats what frame wrap is for), but those kind of wishes never tend to come true, at least for me (I'm not even in the finiancial position to consider the alloy Comp at the moment, let alone a carbon Factory).

I just can't seem to find anything that comes close around that price for what you get. Second..how will I know that you'll definitely see the benefits when I buy through your affiliate link!?
