How Do i gain more damage, while running true crit Element , with att or with ele increase on my safi LS (running purple sharpness) ? I`m looking for an comfy build but love to use elemental damage, so i use the elemental Attack charms und 1 deko to maximize my elemental damage

One thing I want to point out for those who are hunting a specific Safi Jive weapon. Before u claim rewards, change your weapon to the specific weapon your looking for and you will get a 2-3 guaranteed weapon drops. This defiantly helps.

I recently said screw this and I paid 10 bucks for someone to get me all decos, but I am smart enough to not get anything else because why play after getting all materials, rank and money? But deco farming is too much for me.

Huh, guess I was lucky. Got a challenger 4 deco pretty early after the story in Master Rank. Although apparently I need another one otherwise it's easier to run challenger/vitality with an agitator charm

My personal favorite for LS is Teo, Sharpness VI, Sharpness V, Attack V, and Attack V. With Masters Touch you never need to sharpen out of purple, so it’s comfy. Having Teo on your weapon allows the Free Meal Secret/MT set mentioned. Or it gives you the option to use the Garuga legs in a Divine Blessing Secret set. It’s just overall really comfy for everyday play. Plus I just love purple :)

I love that you guys sit so clearly in the math, as a veteran player I don't need guides and can make my own meme builds if I want, but the math for Max deeps can be tough and you deliver exactly what I want

They are but you don't need them. If you lack those decos those builds are still good, if you lack those decos on the sharpness VI set it falls behind the other options because it needs them to scale.

Have a maybe a difficult question, my blast element goes to 320. I know early in the video you mentioned you wouldn’t augment for element up, but I’m thinking 30+ on blast with Kaiser Coil B (giving me 2 level of blast) might give an extra proc on blast or should I run defense aug instead

So why not just use 5 attack awakenings + Mind's Eye for no bounce? The deco or Rajang's set bonus can get it, and Rajang's helmet and waist are both decent enough armor choices.

It has to do with the 5% extra damage scaling from purple sharpness. The no bounce is more of an added bonus. Although for comfyness, running 5 ark awakenings is best. I personally run 4 atk V and 1 sharpness VI plus some handcraft decos I have with masters touch.

Because minds eye still turns your damage output into a fart.. the weapon just doesnt get reflected.. purple sharpness doesnt bounce by nature and therefore deals regular damage on hard body parts

Waiting for the dual blade/elemental video to decide if I should farm a set for every element but will probably end up doing it anyway cus the current highest ele for some is bone/metal weapons with monster parts and the safi weapons look sooooo sick

the video mentioned about sleep being used to flinch shot, but what many people don't know is that paralyzed monsters can be wall slammed even when enraged while they are still paralyzed, so you can "extend" the window of vulnerability of the monster

TrainerPlatinum That’s why he covers the range of attack boost possibilities when running the purple sharpness build with 20 units of sharpness. Even if you don’t have Attack Boost 7, Attack 4 and Agitator 5 is very doable. I look at farming for god jewels as just a fun way to try and squeeze in the most possible damage and not a mandatory requirement.

TrainerPlatinum Just to further clarify. The build you’re looking at with the jewels you mentioned is the best one achievable with the Attack 7 and agitator 4. He’s just not showing the other permutations with the slightly lesser values.

Or just play on PC and fix the game yourself, decos for research points, increase deco rarity and drop rate, buy decos in shop, add them in yourself, however cheaty or non cheaty you want to be the way MHW is designed rn is purely intended to force your playtime up. PC is frankly an objectively superior experience in that and many other regards.

Question. I'm using a Hammer but I don't run a Master's Touch build. Would it still be better to go for the Sharpness VI on my weapon or just stick with Sharpness V and Attack VI? I have Attack Boost 7, CE 7, Agi 7, CB 7, and WE7.

Could you guys do a video where you cover evade window and the relative new song of the Hunting Horn? I'm trying to figure out whether they stack or not and how much does the evade window song increase the evasion but I don't really know how to approach it to test.

I was more excited about this than the hunt itself when safi was announced

so what's the master's touch/free meal set that tuna is rocking?

Since all these weapons have elemental damage on them, would it be smart to try and get regular crit element? I have Safi'boltAxe (SA) and it rolled with the Velkhana set bonus. I used attack awakens on the other slots, but im Wondering if I should swap out the Velkhana awaken for a sharpness.

Being able to skip the blast from teostra set makes up for alot, I think having teostra awaken bonus is really good, now you can use any other 3 set bonus ontop, safi, zino etc. I made a few switch axes and the one I like the most is > Blast elemental proc with awakened skills: Sharp 5*2, Attack 6, MT and Affinity 5. Very comfortable weapon to use, enough purple to never run out, due to MT. Personally I just run a comfy build with Kaiser crown, Damascus chest, kaiser gloves, damascus legs and garuga greaves. Though that is pretty much a set with disgusting amount of decos and I use it primary for perma SAED or in general keeping the weapon charged none stop which makes up for the raw attack loss since I never run out of being in amped state and if I do, its back in a few swings. So I feel some of those comparisons only look at raw and not how fast you can get into amped state and keep it up and having enough decos in some builds is quite important to maximize the build. I do think the affinity on the weapon is overkill though as I reach 60% affinity base with 7 expertise and 4 attack. It does mean you dont need 3 weakness exploit however and indeed, its more of a comfy set. If you run health augument you can run safi jiva set but using safi without health augument is not very comfortable at all:) No need for handicraft due to MT and options. Then again its easy to just do a few Safi runs and get more weapons to mix with, I have a poison weapon I stacked with 2* affinity 5, 1 sharp 6 and 1 sharp 5 and MT. This weapon have imo too much purple but its a nice farming set, extremly comfortable, and due to the 25% base crit chance, 65% crit with expertise you can even run this without anything but crit boost and build more tanky since the purple is soooo long that the crit from 65% is enough to keep it at purple through most of a hunt.

When using switch axe in this siege: Is it better to use power axe over sword/zsd? Is partbreaker and power prolonger not useful in this siege? Thanks!

If I want a bit more affinity for comfy maxing, what would be better to drop, the attack augment for an affinity augment or the attack upgrade for an affinity upgrade?

I still like Teostra Technique on some weapons because I can sub out one Teostra armor piece for something good, like the Rajang helmet. It lets me have full agitator, peak performance, and attack up when I couldn't before because my decos suck.

I neeeeeeed a Greatsword video but this gives me a general idea

Can I apply the second set to others raw weapons? Like hammers, charge blades or great swords? Even if I lose focus or iron wall 🤔

Using the Zorah Essence awaken allows you to have slugger 5, artillery 5 and spare shot on a sticky ammo set. Zorah Essence is also good for wide and normal GL sets because you need to stack damage skills on top of artillery skills to max out your DPS.

I watch this Videos to learn but I also always get reminded how terrible my Decos are and it's upsetting. 😂

Currently I’m using the Blast CB with attack 6 & 5, sharpness 4, affinity 5, and status 5 with a health augment. It’s just slightly stronger than the Gold Rathian one so I’m happy. Can’t wait to see some builds using the armor! From what I’ve seen you can do some pretty crazy stuff combined with the Awakened Weapons.

Do any of these calculations take into account the 100% crit potential of a teo/Safi set. I have no idea if it would be good just wondering

So I'm a bit confused, I thought with Safi Set bonus that the damage is applied the moment you attack and the health augment only heals you when the attack connects, so in theory wouldn't you ALWAYS have resentment active? Or is there some strange delay after the attack starts and can connect and then the Safi set bleeds you? Or does it only happen as soon as your attack has active damage frames? Or is it even weirder and there's some delay after you're in red health where resentment hasn't yet activated despite meeting the requirements for it to activate and then you connect the attack before resentment can be active? What exactly is going on there?

So I haven't tested it with the Safi set but this is exactly how it works with the Stormslinger's Bolt ammo when at the overcharged levels. At full HP you would shoot an overcharged shot, which would chip at your health and activate Resentment. Then the shot would land on the monster and the damage calculation would occur, with Resentment active. Then the health augment would kick in and deactivate Resentment. So each of these overcharged shots would apply Resentment even if you had full HP when you shot. I'll have to test to see if the same occurs for Safi.

Resentment kicks in the moment red is present for me, and it even procs when my health augment covers the damage from the savi set (although there's no guarantee that the atk up is applied in that instance, have to check the training room).

Safi set bonus damages you as soon as you attack but melee weapons don’t have travel time like gunner weapons do. So the game can often register the self damage and the self heal together and won’t apply the resentment buff. The proc will come up but will do nothing. Also there seems to be an internal cooldown on it. You can’t proc and lose it over and over in the same instant. This means that rapid attacks will have random activations of the buff.

Health augment is useless with the safi set bonus cause it heals you to full when you trigger the healing. Safi set bonus is just way better, slightly delayed health augment.

@@shumbojrimp8274 that only happens on weapons like greatsword where the health augment being percentage of damage dealt will full heal you....i use a HH in full Safi armor and 1 health augment and i lose about 2 net hp per swing after i heal unless i use echo notes or waves in which i will generate more then i can lose........and then cuz i suck i get slapped by the monster

I got a pair of blast duel blades from Safi iwanna try out in your guys opinion would blast duel blades be okay or do I absolutely have to go with element for duel blades I'm not trying to be meta or anything just want a fun build but I don't wanna invest my mats if blast duel blades are super crap I was gonna just stack attack and sharpness on them

The Safi'jiiva/Teostra mixed set may be less comfortable HOWEVVVVER it looks dope so sorry not sorry

I know they haven’t covered this yet and probably won’t for a while but, in anybody’s opinion, would it be worth going for purple on safi SnS with two sharpness V abilities? Or should I just stick with all element abilities?

You said it tends to favor what I already have on my weapon... Here I am sitting at almost 60 potential trying to get my last attack 5.

For multimonster hunts/Just raw use the shatterspear with attack 6, and 4 attack 5s Element use the relative elemental Safi glaive with 4x attack awakens and the Power and Spirit bonus, with the relevant elementally paired blast dust gleambeetle. Armor skills stay the same but I prefer to have some QoL in my sets. Crit eye 7 Agitator 5 Evade window 5 Attack boost 4 Health boost 3 Crit boost 3 Weakness exploit 3 Masters touch Kaiser crown B Buff chest A Kaiser arms B Kaiser waist B Garuga legs B Evade charm IV

I hope we go over charge blades at some point because between impact status CB and PEP Cb AND tailoring a build for savage axe or saed is a nightmare, I made a build where I go 3 piece Kaiser and 3 safi which doesn’t do the best for either or (I think) but I like to use both so it’s a nice general purpose set

Is it really not worth to run Zorah Mag to have Artillery awakened & masters touch together? Oh well lol it’s fun to have both on CB Edit: could you mention the numbers for that in you next vid? I’m curious what the numbers are for a raw CB to run Artillery secret and Masters touch. Love your videos!

You dont need agi charm. The double agi decos are only to max out agitator, which is unnecessary. It's just there for an extra 8 raw during enrage.

Is Safi GS a viable option? Is it really worth it to trade the Non elemental boost?
