I wanna piece together a true tank set using the arena earrings that provide feline provoker, but I can't tell witch of the shielded weapons would best synergize with saving your teams bacon, soaking up damage, along with shielding damage, if you feel like a shield is unnecessary and would substitute something like a bug spamming insect glave then feel free to go crazy. can you guys maybe one day produce the mathematically best build for soaking up damage for both solo and with a team?

What was Capcom thinking putting the elemental nerf on lance? It's not like lances were elemental powerhouses to being with, so the nerf seems like it was meant to discourage use of an already unpopular weapon. Maybe this'll improve later on with updates, and maybe GR Kulve will give us a good thunder lance.

I really don't like that capcom is still doing so much behind the scenes stuff like this at least tell us they have done so well with world but stuff like not even knowing if most of the numbers the game gives you are correct or not is one thing that should have been left in the past!

@@dragconen They did nothing behind the scenes, it's clearly stated in the launch patch notes for IB that weapons like lance, IG, LS, DB and bow have lower elemental damage on some attacks.

@@HangingFreud Oh So all of the math is shown to the player in-game? Damage formulas and whatnot. The fact that bloat values are still a thing again without letting players know in-game. Hitzone values with numbers, not some bullshit stars that could straight up mean anything. Motion values And let's not forget drop chance. This is what I mean by Capcom doing stuff behind the scenes because they have yet to stop. The plain as day truth is without data mining players for sure know nothing about numbers in monster hunter and I would have loved to see Monster hunter world put an end to that. I've been playing this series since it first released in the USA I love the work they have put into MH World I'm just annoyed at things like this they went the distance on many things and on others they took one step and gave up.

I love your channel because you always answer all the questions I have where maths is involved. Especially since I am either to busy, stupid or lazy to work out myself!

I just got iceborne, these kind of videos helps a ton, even if i won't ever got to a meta set at least i know more or less what's worth running

I was a Lance main til just before Iceborne. I mean over a 1000 hours. But I have been learning Gunlance, Bow & LBG through Iceborne. I think it's time I went back to Lance as your video inspired me to try all these new ones now that Elemental actually works as intended.

I am curious how safi'jiiva affects elemental lance, I am currently running 3 safi 2+weapon (3 total teo) for safi and two bonus. I really should run some tests on it but I feel like it's pretty good

How do you get knightly ectis to 100% affinity? Mines only at 40%

Question: Would the Kirin lance be better vs Golden rathian? The metal raths have pretty high physical defenses, so I've been using that lance (looks cool too) to focus more on the elemental side. And do any of the high elemental/low raw weapons (regardless of class) ever deal more damage than the meta weapons (EG is there monster the Kirin Lance would outclass the Zinogre/rajang lances)?

How much damage does the cool cat food buff give when u use kick back emote?

why doesnt my velkhana lance build have 100 percent affinity even though i have everything matching?

It's pretty fun to use but if I want to use any long gunlance I would run the uragaan legs and braces with a gaurd jewel and then the zorah set filled up with whichever long gunlance I use.

i admittedly am not too familiar with how EFR works, but can someone quickly explain to me why the namielle lance would be the worst? i mean, obviously it has to be matched correctly with weaknesses. but it seems to do same raw and more element damage with more affinity than the velkhana lance. is there a reason for it having lower hit zone values that im just not understanding, or is something off about the title card of the weapon?

Id love a video on kinsect bonuses. And what flinch free does when mixed with kinsect extract

It boosts Wind Res, Tremor Res and Earplugs, but you have to have at least one-two points in them to max out(earplugs 2 becomes 5, wind res 3 becomes wind res 5, tremor res 1 becoming 3)

Most (if not all, didn't check all of them) of the sets they use Attack+ jewels in you don't actually need that jewel. For example the first Velk set, you can run Ironwall/Expert in that slot and swap the separate Ironwall & Expert jewels for two attack jewels. Most lance sets are pretty flexible on specifically which decos you use to get there.

RNG in this game is nuts. For example, I got 7 attack jewels BEFORE I got a SINGLE GUARD UP DECO. took months of nonstop grind.

30+20 (WEx 3) + 25 (Crit Eye 5) + 5 (Attack 4) + 10 (Affinity augment) + 10* (with Agitator 5 active). In the worst case, Latent Power can also give you +10.

How do you have Health and Affinity Augments on the Knightly Ectis when it only allows 4 slots. Health Augment is 3 slots and Affinity is 2 slots.

Question! Is there a reason you're sometimes using a Tenderizer/Vitality gem along with a Ironwall gem instead of a Critical/Ironwall or Tenderizer/Ironwall gem with another Attack Boost?

Are you going to cover Kulve again? I would guess that the Kulve Meta will change a lot due to the Bow changes, new weapons and armor pieces.

@@TheRealSnaxolotl As far as I remember they reduced the KO values on the coconuts, so that the second KO in P1 might not be possible anymore. I cant test it, because I play on PC and still have to wait a month until Iceborne releases.

Look at the skills rather than the decos. Try to recreate the build best you can using what you do have and fill in the rest of the stuff you're missing with other things that will benefit you. Fuck meta anyway. Personally I play for fun, not to kill monsters in 2 mins 34 secs.

Switch things around to work with what you have, and what you find fun. I rarely have the decos needed for the meta builds, but I still watch these videos to give me an idea of what skills I should be looking for, and what ones I should be avoiding.

Anyone else think it would’ve been cool if they gave the lance and gunlance the adept guard and it would have amazing synergy with offensive guard and you wouldn’t need Guard up if you were good enough

They gave lance a guard up boost if you hold power guard for a few seconds, and while in guard shot stance, you have an enhanced guard level

PEPSI B=Power Element Phial Charge Blade Phials on CB=Phials on Charge Blade, they dont crit SAED=The full discharge from Charge Blade, not the phial conserving playstile and not Savage Axe(New Move)

Critical eye lvl 7 gives you a an additional 40% affinity. Weakness exploit lvl 3 gives +30% affinity on weak parts and an additional 20% on weakened parts. Agitator also gives an atk and affinity boost, but I cant remember the values. Then there is the affinity augments. So if you have a weapon with 0% affinity, but you have CE Lvl7, WEX lvl 3 and one affinity augment. You now have a 100% chance to crit on weakened weak part.
