Khan sahab singing is beyond this world... but high notes in the sher Ek fursat e gunaah mili wo bhi char din is really appreciable.. Tabla player has also given his best.. One sher dedicated to khan sahab..Tum kya gaye ke ruth ke din gazal ke .. Sirmood aapka bhi shukriya is peshkimti kohinoor ke liye...

The rendition by the great Mehdi Hassan Saab in both low and high notes were treats to listen. In this ghazal penned by the great Faiz Ahmed Faiz Saab , the depth and range of the Khan Saab's divine voice had come into full flow which made it immensely soulful and melodious! What a formidable combination it was! Hat's off to both of them!

Everyone is unique, in one's own right, in one's own individual way, in the respective genres of music ! Admiring one doesn't necessarily mean showing disrespect to others ! That's it ! Who was the great Mehdi Hassan Saab and what was his contributions to the World of Music, in general, and, Ghazal Gayiki, in particular, is readily available in the public domain and in anybody's reach ! The illustrious career of the great Khan Saab spanning over almost six decades will speak volumes about his abilities, as a singer of exceptional merit ! Viewers hardly require any bidding from any quarter, whatsoever ! They are intelligent enough to draw their own inference/conclusion ! Perhaps, a 'living legend' could only realise the greatness of a 'legend in his lifetime' ! How right was the great Latajee in her assessment of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab during his lifetime in saying - "GOD resides in the voice of Mehdi Hassan Saab !" Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Saab went on to say - " No one can ever compete with Mehdi Hassan Saab in so far as his control over sur is concerned !"

Or does it require someone's prior permission to participate in its various programmes ! If so, I am quite oblivious of it ! Can someone take pains to share it with the viewers in this august forum itself for their knowledge and information anytime soon or in the immediiate future ! Is that understood ! Someone should better understand it ! What a strange equation, indeed, it is - blaming someone else so as to coverup one's own shortcomings/undoing ! Have I said anything to the contrary ! It's, indeed, someone's meanness, narrow - mindedness, guilt - feeling, pre - conceived/prejudiced mind, blurred vision, and negative mindset, which is speaking up now ! What a rare coincidence it is - someone becoming the complainant, lawyer, and judge - rolled into one - sitting on judgement - and - deciding one's own fate - with a view to - corner the glory - by hook or by crook - even by cursing the counterpart - so as to - coverup one's own shortcomings/undoing - having no other recourse left with one ! How farcical and hypocritical it looks ! I often wonder - why does some people make a mockery of themselves by evolving stories out of nothing ! I very much pity someone's stupidity and abysmally low level of intelligence, although one pretends to be so smart ! Even a person of average intelligence can very easily understand that similar questions merit similar responses ! Besides, someone, who has become absolutely deaf, dumb, speechless, clueless, and defenceless in finding the right response to the moot question, now finds it expedient to steal from my narratives, herein above, and copypaste it as one's own, being virtually run short of vocabulary, and is trying to dodge/deviate from giving a direct response ; and instead, indulging in irrelevance bordering on absurdities and strange reasoning so as to coverup one's own shortcomings/undoing, having no other recourse left with one ! Can someone master the necessary courage/guts to come up with a point by point rebuttal of all the issues, raised in my narratives, herein above - issue - wise and serially - from the beginning - in specific terms - without minccing any further word - and - without ever trying to dodge/deviate from giving a direct response - and - share it with the viewers - in this august forum itself - for their knowledge and information - anytime soon or in the immediiate future - provided, ofcourse, someone is not otherwise a coward ! How right was William Shakespeare in his assessment in saying - "Cowards die many times before their death ; but the valiants never taste of death but once !"

Very well said, As a matter of fact, In this ghazal, the great Mehdi Hassan Saab had sung with his heart out, In fact, each of the great Khan Saab's ghazals was very soulful and heart rending. The feeling is as if the great Mehdi Hassan Saab had infused life into the world class poetry of the great Faiz Ahmed Faiz Saab. What a marvellous combination it was!

@@kamalendubhattacharya1478 You are perfectly right! Here Ustadji had sung Raag Desi Todi under the influence of raag Kafi by using shuddha dhaivat!! It is also sung under the influence of Raag Asavari by using komal dhaivat!!! I really wonder why this Raag is called Desi Todi where it doesn't use komal rishabh & komal dhaiwat as in Raag Todi & uses komal nishaad unlike in Raag Todi! I will be thankful to you if you elaborate in this regard!! Thank you!!!
