I agree with you but not a good playback singer which can suit young actors like Rafi Sahab or Ahmed Rushdie or Masaud Rana ji or even Kishore da. My openion.

Listened for the first time. A great gift to the posterity by the legend. Searching for Ustads and Gurus like him in the present times will be like searching for a needle in the sand dumes. Records like these deserve to be preserved for all times ro come. Long live the legends like Ustad Mehdi Hasan and Ustad Peer Buksh in the hearts of countless music lovers

Peer Baksh.. should be an unsung hero.. He has my all love and respect. Awesome percussionist... Actually My grand father had been in lahore for many years.. it's a pity that such an experience is engulfed in history for some selfish people....

Mehdi sahab jo ga gaye wo qayamat tak ke liye hai, oopar wale Malik ne mehdi sahab ko zameen pe bheja hi isi liye thaa ki logon ko ghazal aur gayeki kya hoti hai ye batao... mehdi sahab oopar wale ka ashirwad they .. jo aaj ke sabhi ghazal singers gaa rahe hain sab mehdi sahab ki den hai....

Bahut hi achhi tabiyat thi Khan sahib ki. Sur ka lgaav, chain aur laykaari ka jawannb nahin. Byaan karna mushkil hai. Thanks for uploading 🙏🙏

Kaffi thaat ke Raag Jog ang mein, (one of the 38 raags, Maestro superbly sang ghazals). Mushkil raag he. Ghazal bhi ghazab ki he (Qateel Shifai). yeh ma'ujizah bhi mahabbat kabhi dikhaye mujhe -Keh sang tujh pe girey, aur zakhm aye mujhe ! kiya kehney he !!!

His music tells that by temperament he was of sombre and exploratory type, and averse of anything trite raag or musical phrases or poetry. A stalwart in his capacity who bestowed lighter genre of ghazal singing a classical range...He was one of the best fruition of the medieval Indo-Gangetic cultural blending.. mysteriously trying enchanting sound..

Khan sahab Mehdi Hssan rongthe khade kar dete hai aur ankhse aansoo nikal dete hai! Really missed you! Ta umra mere sath aapki aawaz hai. Mera kabhi heart fail nahi ho sakata!

Yes Mr.Digbijoy Sen, I admit your comments about Raga because Mehdi Hassan ji himself announced the raga as Madhukauns before starting this song in a live programme.

Many people don't know how magnanimous he was. After a concert in Jaipur, in 1977 when he came to know that there was no proper road to his native village where he was born, he donated the entire collection from sale of tickets as contribution towards the construction of road to his village. Those days the amount was around Rs 2.00 lakhs. When he was unwell around 2000 our prime minister late AB Vajpai who was great fan of the maestro sent financial help as goodwill gesture and also requested the Pakistan Govt to send him to India if he wanted for treatment.

yusuf rahemtulla unke gale me maa saraswati ka waas hai hence woh ala darje ke fankar hue ala darje ke insaan bhi the isiliye aaj 70 saal baad bhi une mureed log hai ye hamari next generation bhi unki gayaki ki kayal hai words are insufficient to describe his singing 🙏🙏🙏

what a classic performane it is not easy to sing so difficult ghazals in audience in a row but Ustad saheb did it masterly and that proved why he is one of his own kind

Upar waley ki meherbani se - Mehdi hassan saahab ne jo gaya wo bus unhone hi gaya.... Ab unka koi saani nahin hoga.... Ghazal ka wo khazaanaa unke sath hi dafan ho gayaa.... Khan saahab ko dil se salaam.

More I listen to mehdi hassan "king of ghazal", more i get addicted to it... no words to describe the way it touches my heart and sooths my soul..

Ustad Zakir Husain ke Walid saab on Tabla...who else could be better than him...I can't differentiate whom I love more Rafisaab or Mehdi Hasan Saab as both are so close to my heart and soul... thanks almighty to give us soul satisfying voices that we could listen in this life!!!
