    @@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Hey Sebastian i have a question. first of all I really love this effect however is there a way to make text look like its coming out towards your monitor instead of it being stationary just zooming through it?

  • @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey there! :) How do you mean that? It would be possible to do it the same way, add the polygon to the 1st clip but add the zoom transform between the text and the merge node and just make a zoom on the text. If you do it that way you have to manually keyframe the size of the polygon node every single frame. If that was what you meant I hope that I could help you! :)

    not bad at all, but more better without text static. if the text move in the same way than the video, it would be perfect.

  • @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    2 жыл бұрын

    Thank you Dejan! Yes, that would be true! Though, I just wanted to give a basic idea on how to achieve this effect so you get a starting point - you can also track the text somewhere, have it moving with the video or even 3D - that's totally up to the person who is using the effect, but with this they at least got a "starting point". Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to comment, highly appreciated! :)

    two things. One, when i did this the transition through the letters was sooo fast and therefore didnt look good. and 2, the example at the start of this vid has text that looks to be with depth, floating and with shadow/3d look. any help is much appreciated thank you!

    Hey! Yes, I know that, you can make the transition as fast or as slow as you want! To stick the text to something I would recommend to use the camera tracker ( already in the planning of a video about that!) :)

    @@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Thanks for responding! Is there an easy way to explain making the transition slower? Im trying to finish a project and did want to integrate your text effect in the video, but if its too fast I think I'll have to scrap that effect.

    @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    @@keldonlemon yes! Super easy way. I don’t know how many frames you used for that transition (lets say 24 for now) just set the last keyframe on the zoom not on frame 24, instead maybe in frame 80, this way it will more slowly zoom in!:)

    Hey! Thanks for the kind words, I hope so, too :D I really enjoy watching BENN TK and Sam Kolder so I thought why not show how to recreate their effects in resolve. There are plenty tutorials out there but only for After Effects or FCPX, so some resolve tutorials would be nice! :)

    I am not much aware of motion graphics ...I use to do little animations in filmora then i switched to premiere ..then i was learning after effects basics ...Recently I've switched to Davinci for two reasons 1- It's free 😅 2- It works smooth in my M1 Air base model I am confused with couple of things . Usually people around me Use after effects For animation n motion graphics ... What are the things that you can do in After effects and not in Davinci Resolve 17 ? I need to understand this ... let me know whenever you see this comment...

  • @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    Hey Saad! thanks for taking the time to comment man! :) Yeah, however I recommend getting the studio version anyways - it's $295- that's a bargain imo and it is so much more powerful than the free version. AE is $21 / month, premiere is $21 / month = $42 / month. Resolve studio is as expensive as 7.5 months of adobe software, that is slower and crashes more often. I still dont get the point why people are still using overpriced software that you need a subscription for and alltogether, doesn't run as smoothly as resolve. Nevertheless, I have used premiere / aftereffects just a couple of times. I do have all the adobe creative cloud, but that's because my girlfriend is a teacher and she gets the whole adobe software for $19 / month and shares with me. I may have it installed but I barely ever use it. SO I cannot tell, if there are any differences from AE - Fusion. I am just used to the node structure and personally find it easier! :D I am sorry that I couldn't help you answer your question! :(
