    Hey! Thank you! I already made a video about this topic. The one is how to track text to water and make it appear as if the text would be floating in the water with the waves! If you want to check it out, just combine those two steps! :)

    This was a great tutorial. Short & straight to the point. Can I do this with two layers of text? One text at the top and the other at the bottom? If I can what do I connect the second layer of text too?

  • @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    Hey Florence! Is your intention to just create 2 lines of text? If so, I would do this with 1 text node. Otherwise, Just connect the output of text2 to the output of merge1, to create merge2 and use the same mask and connect it into the blue input of text2

  • @Iamflorenceramos

    @Iamflorenceramos

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Thank you so much! Yes, two lines of text but as I need the second line of text to be smaller size and different font it didn't work with 1 text node. I will follow your suggestion of creating text2 and adding it to merge1 and see how this works. New subbie here, cos this was so helpful.

  • @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    @@Iamflorenceramos hey Florence! Seems like you didn’t know that, but you can actually change size and font in 1 Text node: just highlight the lower line in the text editor, once it’s highlighted just change the font, this should work perfectly fine! However, if you feel more confident with 2 text nodes, that’s also fine!:) Thanks soooo much!! Welcome to the community!:)

    Hi Sebastian, is there a method to add blood effect in davinci resolve, like a gun shot wound or knife cut

  • @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    @SebastianFriedrichVisuals

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey Suzan! That's quite a good question! There is no effect for this baked into resolve as far as I know - BUT what you could do is to use ink-drops as the effect (of course, they are black, so you would have to color them to red) but they would work great for gun shot wounds! There is a channel called "Film Riot" providing free blood wound assets for you to download -- I did the research for you, here is the link: www.triunedigital.com/collections/freebies/products/free-blood-stock-assets Because they do have a white backdround I would suggest you to put the wound asset on your timeline, right click on it and create a new fusion clip. You then add a luma-keyer in between the media in and media out and key out all the bright parts (the whites) and now you should be good to go. Go back to the edit page, put the just created fusion clip on video layer 2 and drag the clip you want this effect to be used on on video layer 1. Now just go to the fusion clip once again, go to the inspector in the top right corner of the edit page and re-position and re-size it so that it fits your needs! If this still looks too fake, highlich both clips and create a new fusion clip. Now go to fusion and you will have MediaIn1, Merge1 and MediaIn2. Find out what your clip is that you want this effect on, hit shift+spacebar and type "PlanarTracker"in the searchbar. Now track the area that you want this effect to be used on, if you have done this, go to the planartrackar node and create a planar transform off of that. If you have done so, delete the tracker and put the transform in its place instead. With this being done, just connect the Blood clip to the planar transform and you should be good to go! I hope this wasn't too much information! If you need further instructions, just email me, I would be more than happy to help you out! :)
