Gone is the era where 5 out of 8 men can run under 9.8s

Wrong. We could attend 5 men running sub9.8 at Paris *if* they all healthy and mentally ready! (Kerley, Bromell, Omanyala, Coleman, Jacobs) I know it's a very big IF but the possibility could be real. Just hope! 💪🥇☄️ Edit: even Lyles has the potential to run 9.79 with a good start. He is able to split 3.37 over 60-100m so he "just" needs a 6.42 start. Not impossible but yes quite far away.

@@TrackreatorI hear you, count TEBOGO & AKANI in there also, especually AKANI he is very fit now. TEBOGO is still so young and performing amazingly, he can also surprise us. Shout out to Jacobs I hope he makes a come back.

@@eddiebello9547 consistency is useless unless you win something else than some meets. He is consistent but doing what? Running 9.9 in meets? Ok I mean that's respectful but I would like to see him on some big podium…

It amazes me how many of these sprinters stand straight up out of the blocks. Remember Michael Johnson? He ran the same way. It is imperative to keep your body on a slant downward to achieve absolute momentum. Coleman and curley do a great job of this.

Nope - 'Flojo', Ben Johnson, Carl Lewis; Swoboda and so more were/are (almost) upright inside some 10 meters; even Usain Bolt was in his comparatively fastest race (the 150 m WR)!
