You have to admit though, Keselowski’s paint scheme for 2013 was pretty badass

I mean Logano wasn’t bad at all in 2013, at the time it was his best season, so I don’t know if you can just say it was because Penske changed to ford

Penske seemed to have lots of speed from 2014 onwards though, Brad and Logano honestly should have brought home championships in that time too, but Brad was the center of controversy in 2014, and Logano getting into it with Kenseth cost him any shot at the 2015 championship.

The 2014 dodge looked amazing in nascar.....its a shame dodge dropped out.

That Redd’s Apple Ale scheme from the Richmond race was one of my favorites. I would like to see them bring the blue deuce back

The last season that the Blue Deuce really was a blue

1. New car. The Gen6 debuted that year and '13 was a rough year. JUST as Gen5 car racing was getting good too! 2. New car MAKE. Team Penske just made the move over to Ford and did you REALLY expect Keselowski to go back to back when Team Penske is making the swap from Dodge BACK to Ford? I don't think so.

Alan Muccioli No one expected him to go back to back but he had good cars. He just had bad luck in 2013. Logano made the Chase and was running top 8 for most of the Chase races - Dover, Texas, Homestead, Phoenix

Aged poorly

I think Keselowski had the worst hangover of his life given how much alcohol he drank that championship night.

Even after his championship Brad has grown so much as a driver. Super proud of this dude and how far he’s progressed his career. He’s yet to peak.

Thankfully brad got that win at Charlotte to kinda bandage the wounds of not being in the Chase.

2014 was a bad year for Furniture Row Racing. The team showed promise when Kurt Busch drove for them full time in 2013. I was expecting the team to just as good in 2014 with Truex

As a DJ fan, this season broke my heart more than 2007 did. Finishing 9th in the points in 2002, that broke 6 straight seasons of top 5 points finishes. However, the 2003 season showed promise with a dueling win at Rockingham against Kurt Busch. Once "double vision" Steve Park wrecked him at Vegas, the season went straight down the crapper to 27th. It was taken almost 2 years from the completion of 03 to win another points paying race, his final one, at Talladega.

one this that wasn't mentioned was that penske did switch manufactures at the end of 2012, and most teams that have switch usually struggle the first season

techfromheaven 2006 was nowhere near as bad as 2012, he had the third most top tens of his career in a season in 2006

If ever there was an F1 driver with an epic Championship Hangover, it would be Jody Scheckter in 1980. Just a year from his championship in 1979, the South African had just 2 points all year in 1980, multiple DNF's and even had a DNQ to gain the unfortunate distinction of having the worst full time title defence in F1 history, being just 19th in the standings. It was clear that his motivation was suffering from the combination of achieving his goal of becoming champion and the trying nature of Ferrari's 1980 season (Ferrari also had a miserable 1980 season as a whole, just a year on from claiming both titles, they slumped to their lowest Constructors Championship classification of 10th in 1980 with just 8 points, a whoping 105 points less than 1979)

2001: finish 12th in points with 0 wins, 3 top5s, 15 top10s, avg. finish of 17.9 and led 190 laps. 2003: finish 17th in points with 0 wins, 5 top5s, 10 top10s, avg. finish of 20.2 and led 159 laps.

It’s because DODGE left and Penske switched to Ford. After that Keselowski has been struggling for a couple years, to around 2016 or 2017, he got the hang of the new cars.

If Dodge didn't leave at end of 2012 right after Brad won them their first title in over 30 yrs and still they left and forced Penske and Brad to switch to Ford's Brad wouldn't have had a bad season. Had they ran Dodge in 13 I truly believe Brad would have repeated. But switching manufacturer took most of 13 for the teams shop Brad n Kurt to get used to the new cars.

Also didn’t Help they had to switch to a whole different manufacturer and scrap all their Plans and development with Dodge And Start fresh with Ford. It Took them a little bit but they’re fine now there usually Finish somewhere in the top 10 every season If not the final four but damn The transition from Dodge to Ford I feel like is the biggest contributor.
