This style of “vlog” was refreshing. Sometimes when we jump through what is finished….what is in progress…..what is planned….what has been acquired can feel busy and overwhelming. Following the progress on one item is a novel approach.

Totally agree! Plus when there’s a hundred of the items in varying status you’ve described, it feels like I’m not a god knitter if I’m not keeping up. Trying to finish 1 item in a week (even if I can’t do a sweater in a week) feels more relatable!

I'm excited for this pattern when it is ready! It's in the running to be my first knit cardigan. Your videos are a breath of fresh air, thanks for your authentic content :) That pink looks gorgeous on you too.

I love process knitting videos, especially ones with a time challenge, so it was super fun to watch this. Now I'm so excited about this pattern, especially because you give so much attention to details, such as the cardigan not falling off the shoulders when it's oversized.

I finished watching this at 1.30 am last night, but here I am again! Laura that cardigan is amazing, the construction is so clever and everything is so thought out. We can clearly see how proud you are of it. And that pink is so amazing on you. Oh my. What a lovely cardigan and with such an interesting construction. I already dream of making it. I’ll be making it as a gift to my sister in law and probably try and make it striped and with mohair held double/triple depending on gauge. This would be her dream sweater. Congratulations on finishing on time! I would never expect that the garter stitch cardigan would look so beautiful! But this is absolutely stunning :) I would be really happy to test it and provide some bigger sizes info :D I'm UK 18.

You are amazing Laura!! Well done. I can’t wait for the pattern. 🙂 My thought is that May is a perfect time for pattern release so it can be knit before the colder weather starts so it will be ready to wear just in time.

I think May is a good time to release as it gives people time to knit it ready for early autumn when it's getting a bit cooler! Also, summer evenings can get cool too. It's a lovely cardigan (I much prefer a cardigan over a jumper) but I'll have to up my knitting game first (I'm a crocheter who has only knitted small things, some of them I haven't actually finished yet)!

Brava to you on a classic shape done in a clever way! It looks like it will be one to add to my list in the future! One of my favorite cardigans is Meg Swansen's "Round-the-Bend," a mostly-garter stitch, cleverly-constructed garment with mitered squares. Garter stitch is lovely, squishy, and cozy, isn't it?!

That baby pink on you! When you held up the first armhole, I thought beautiful with eye/hair/ skin color. At least on my screen.

Have just found the joy of knitting my first ever jumper and I’m hooked! Absolutely love your channel and am thinking about making the soufflé cardigan in a neon lime ! Any tips ?? Do you think it would be good as a 2nd / intermediate knitter

So I don’t have a soufflé cardigan pattern, but I believe there is a similar looking design. My soufflé patterns have some tricky parts but over all aren’t difficult. I’d say the easiest is the summer soufflé so would probably start there x
