I too am a senior citizen at the age of 74. I have been knitting since I was about 10 as back on the 50’s and 60’s knitting garments for our family was a necessity. I really enjoy watching this podcast and I agree with you that this young lady has a wonderful passion for this craft and is a delight to watch and follow. Happy knitting to you! 🇨🇦😊

I LOVE these 2 comments~!! I only just learned to knit about 5 years ago when I was 50. I'm self taught and although I'm left handed I decided to overcome that and learn to knit right handed. Most patterns and especially videos are right handed~I didn't want to have to deal with watching it "backwards" and then converting it in my head first~!! I've been told by many that I'm a natural and my work is beautiful. All I know is I LOVE knitting and for the last 5 years I've knit for several hours a day EVERY day. My grand mother was an AVID knitter and tried to teach me when I was a child. The left handed/right handed dilemma made it impossible and I lost interest. If she was still here I think she'd be so proud to see what I can do now~!!
I'd love a yarn tier list! I'm always overwhelmed by the choices out there and I'm curious about your faves

Yes, and especially if you include prices, that world be very helpful Thanks
I really liked this video. It's very cool that you made so many of these patterns and all of them are now in one place to reference. I love PetiteKnit designs. They are easy to start your garment journey with. They almost always successfully no matter what size you are, and I'm on a larger size and finding pattern that works for me is very hard. Especially in the beginning when the large or large size is such an investment with time and money. PetiteKnit never failed. That's why I love it. Thank you for this ranking. ❤️❤️❤️

I share the same thoughts, and absolutely loved this type of pattern roundup!
I loved this video. Your podcasts have become one of my favorite because you don’t waste time w mindless chatter. You talk about knitting, which I love! So thank you for your podcast! I would like to see a list of simple summer tops to knit.
watching this while knitting the Monday sweater as my first ever sweater project! seeing you put it as your favourite petiteknit pattern just validates my choice even more :)
I’d love more videos like this! Ranking all your sweaters or all your warm weather knits sounds really interesting - I think you give really detailed and useful information about patterns and yarns and as a beginning knitter who is interested in deciding what to knit next these are really useful and interesting!

Best type of detailed pattern round up!
My favorites are your Moby and Monday sweaters. I agree that the Sophie Scarf is not a mindless project! Love your nail polish. 💅🏾 The colors of your Oslo Sweater and Poppy Sweater are stunning!
I love that you made this particular video. So many times I will find a pattern that I love the look of and i buy it only to find out that it's difficult to follow, or I don't like the construction or some other reason that I never knit it. Such a waste of money. I have looked at PetiteKnit patterns a lot and often wondered how they are to knit. Because of this video I can see myself purchasing a few patterns!! Thank you so much Amy.😃

I really like the Anker's Summer Shirt and I went to the Petite Knit website but can't figure out the difference between that one and the Anker Tee....do you know?
You are awesome! Great no nonsense content! Thank you! 🙏❤
Yes yes yes tier list of patterns from your personal experience yay!!! Thank you!!!
Loved this video and would really like to see more in the future. Like you mentioned, I would like to see all of your sweaters ranked. As a new knitter who loves to make garments, it would be so helpful! Xoxo
I found this so helpful!! I've learned so much about knitting from you!
I really love your feedback on these patterns. Thank you so much!
Yes!! More like this. Such a cool video and great to have references for patterns from someone more experienced
It's like you read my mind! I've been waffling about choosing another petite knit pattern, so I need this.
So excited for this video! Need to make myself a big cup of tea and enjoy 😍
This was a wonderful video! Thank you so much for breaking down your experience with each pattern. This is such a useful resource
Thanks for the video. I appreciate how well organized and informative your videos are, great job 👍🧶🇨🇦
Such a great video concept!
You are a fabulous knitter. Your work looks very professional and refined. Thanks for a great video.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts on the different patterns. Would like to see a video of all of your summer knits next ❤
I’m so tempted to cast on the April cardigan after watching this video!! 🙈 loved seeing all your pieces they all look so great!!
I really enjoyed this video and love your suggestions of ranking al your sweaters, all your knits in a certain weight of yarn etc. I look forward to your weekly videos. Thank you
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to give your thoughts and future improvements. 😊❤
A very informative video, thoroughly enjoyed it. It is helpful to hear a more experienced garment knitters opinions on patterns. Thanks so much.
I love your videos and your confidence you have on camera. I would love to see a video of you rating yarns that you have tried!
Thank you! I haven’t knit a Petite Knit pattern yet but am a huge fan of her style. This was very helpful. Now to choose…😃
Enjoyed this episode. You helped me decide to make the Monday sweater.
I really appreciate you sharing your opinions and experience with Petite knit patterns, especially your comparisons between her patterns.
This video was so helpful! I have been scrolling through some different Petite Knit patterns to start next and this helped me narrow down my choices!
That was so helpful! Thank you! I’d love another review with the same format - it is fun and informative. ❤
This is a great video, thank you. I also really like Petite Knit and I appreciate seeing what you’ve knit from her patterns and your comments. Your knitting is beautiful and inspiring.
This video was so helpful! It was reassuring to find you had the same experience with some PetiteKnit designs as I did, and I've now added the Monday sweater to my future project list 🙂
Oooooo I would love to see a similar video of you ranking the yarns you've used! I really liked this one :)
Love this video! You have such a calm and friendly vibe, it’s just what I was looking for! Also appreciate the detail of the yarn etc when you went through the garments
Super helpful summary of your PetitKnit knits. I have been mightily influenced by you in diving into Sari Nordlund and PetiteKnit patterns, for which I am thankful. Audrey Top, Moby Sweater and now also the Monday Sweater are in my queue for this year. Thanks for sharing your insight!
Excellent video! Thank you! You are a lovely knitter.
Thank you! A very helpful video and I agree totally with your Sophie scarf opinion , Bridget
Loved your ratings. Please do more.
Enjoyed your podcast, seeing your beautiful sweaters, sharing which yarns you used, and describing shape and ease considerations. You’re very talented!
This video was hugely helpful as another Petite Knit follower. I’ve knit many of her patterns-so far the Cumulus Blouse O-Neck has been my fav! TY for such comprehensive insight!
Thank you! I really loved this video. I’ve never knit a Petite Knit’s pattern, although I like them. I think I’ll follow your grading to pick one as my next sweater project.
Great video! I've knit several Petite knit patterns but the Ingrid sweater was the most enjoyable for me and it fits just right. Definitely putting the Monday sweater at the top of my list! Thanks for the rec.
Great concept! Finally joining the Petite Knit band wagon with the Cloud Sweater so this was great to watch. I’m sure you’ll come up with some great ideas for future “ category “ episodes!
What a great, fair assessment video !
With the weekend hat, knit a size bigger, or size up your needles half a size. Omit the double knitting, and knit the brim shorter without folding it over twice. I modified my weekend hat like this because I knit it to pattern and blocked it hoping it would iron out any misgivings I had about it. The blocking didn't help and I looked ridiculous with the double folded brim with the double knitting that just made it tight and unstretchy so I ripped everything out to start again differently. I love my modified weekend hat now, and have made several more with the same mods. Ofc that just underlines the point that I don't think it's a great pattern, but I used the cast on counts and the decrease guidelines, so the pattern is worth something - at least to an intermediate knitter.

Great tips! I'll have to try them if I knit another. I agree that having the stitch counts and decreases mapped out for you already can make a pattern worth it. I don't like figuring out those things on my own!
Loved this video! Thanks ❤ I also really like a lot of the Petite knit patterns! I would love to see your take on yarns and there costs!! Thanks for sharing all your projects and information! I just retired and have more time to knit and work on my other hobbies! You are amazing on all your podcasts 😊
nice to see you again!
Well done! The Anker summer shirt was my first PK too! I finished the Ingrid Pullover and am currently knitting the Man’s Zipper Sweater for my husband. I like that the designs are classic and will be fashionable for years to come (love that Danish “casual” aesthetic), and the patterns use techniques to make the fit look great. I see more in my future, especially the Monday Sweater! Thanks for taking the time to do this!
I found this video SO helpful, interesting and fun: so thank you!! It is very useful for me to be able to make comparisons based on some similar likes and dislikes we have, as well as hearing your varying opinions- this makes me feel much better informed when trying to make a pattern or yarn decision.
Fabulous video. Loved it and took many notes. I knit the Aros and thought the shoulder design fit me to a tee so would highly recommend. Would love to see more of yarn you have used multiple times., analysis of best raglan, other designers, etc. Thank you so much for all the time you put into your videos.
This was such a great and in depth video of PetiteKnit's patterns! I'm currently knitting her chunky novice cardigan and really wanted to knit one of her sweaters as well. I think I'm sold on the monday sweater now
Great episode! I love PetiteKnit patterns and I am currently working on the Cumulus Blouse. I have made some of her hats and I agree about the turning rounds but I love them anyway.
I appreciate your detailed information about the patterns and yarns you've used which is very helpful if considering knitting the patterns. I went to a local yarn store near where I live for the first time last week. They had some Sandnes Garn Line yarn and the Anker's Summer Shirt pattern was displayed by the yarn. It's interesting, I'd never heard of PetiteKnit until your videos, and now the yarn store had the PetiteKnit pattern by their yarn. I think I will knit that pattern and it was good to hear what you did and didn't like about it.
This was so fun to watch. The Monday sweater is now in my queue when it had not been even on my radar before. I am currently knitting my first petiteknit pattern - the Friday Slipover. It was encouraging to hear it got a good rating in your estimation.
I knit the Monday Sweater this winter, because I had seen it in your video. And I loooove it and lived in it as long as the weather was cold. It has an amazing fit. I think I wouldn't have considered this pattern before without havin seen yours. Now I already thought about the April Cardigan as one of my next knits, and after this video I'm convined it'll be!
Excellent episode!
Omg suuuuch a good video idea!!! Love it
Wonderful video. (I think all of your videos are great!) Lots of these are in my favorites so maybe now I will actually make one- or more! Thanks for the inspiration.
Great video! Enjoyed hearing why you ranked them as you did. Warm weather knits would be a timely video as I am starting to think about summer knits that I would want to wear in the summer. Thanks again for the planning and thought you put into your videos.
Thank you for a nice podcast. I love Petite Knits pattern aesthetic too, and I enjoyed hearing what you had to say about your many projects. I felt the same way about the Sofie scarf, and I have a Sofie scarf UFO somewhere in my project bags. Of her other patterns I have only done one Oslo so far that was a gift and this winter I will make one for me. I own some of her other patterns and your feedback on some of them have given me some indication of how I will go about them, so thank you. Cheers.
Great episode Amy. I totally enjoyed it. I made the Jenny Jacket using same yarn you used for the Moby sweater. it's beautiful but it is a heavy, warm garment. The Jenny Jacket has the smocking stitch which is a bit bulky. For future videos I'd like to hear you talk about yarns - how you improved your knowledge and how you go about shopping for it. Thanks for a great video today.
This was fantastic! I so enjoyed seeing how your amazing projects turned out. I’m a Petite Knit fan too and I made the No Friils pullover. Your description made me want to do the Monday sweater as well, even though they don’t look really different. Your knitting is gorgeous and the video is so well organized and snappy, really fun to watch! The rating system was a nice touch and you were clear on why each project received a certain rating. Well done and thank you. 35:51
This video is immensely helpful. I am going to bookmark it so I can come back to it for your yarn choices and all the specifics you provide. I agree with the other comment that a list of your favourite yarns would be amazing. Subscribed!!
I just found your channel and truly enjoyed this particular video as I now have 4 petit knit patterns that I want to try. I am currently making the Sunday Tee and am too early into the process to give an opinion. I live in Western Massachusetts, so it is nice to see someone from my state, who knits and is on KZread. Looking forward to more videos.
Great video!!! The Anker sweater is on my list to make but I see several others have added short rows too, so I plan to add those in.
Great video. I also knit a lot of PetiteKnit designs and love them. Monday Sweater is also a favourite of mine.
This was great. The Monday sweater is my only Petite Knit pattern so far, so looks like I did well!
i like this topic, many useful knitting suggestions from you, thank u
Would love to see all odds your other sweaters ranked. Eagerly await your videos.
Hi Amy. I really enjoyed hearing your opinion on some of the Petite Knit patterns. It was very informative and I think I might knit up a Monday sweater. I would love to hear a yarn ranking video. I could learn a lot about what type and weight of yarn would look the best with a pattern.
I’m knitting the sophie scarf now (actually while watching this video!) and i’ve been using a post it to keep my rows and then tallying how many groups of 8 i’ve done on the side. I’ve knit the whole scarf today!
Love this video. Really would like to see all the ones you mentioned. Yarns being the top of the list for next one. Newer garment knitter and don't know much about how different yarns knit up or their wearability for which patterns.
You are an amazing knitter! I know the patterns help - petiteknit patterns lean toward a store bought look. But you definitely have an eye for color, texture, etc. Thanks for sharing your projects.
Nail color is everything on you!
Great video! So helpful!❤
D rating for the Sophie scarf - 100% yes, lol. It was so hard to keep track - drove me bananas.

I ended up getting a little pot with 8 bits of pasta (uncooked obviously 😂) and every time I finished a row and took the pasta out of the pot, increased when they were all out, then did the opposite. It definitely helped!!

Me too….It was driving me nuts and i just gave up…required too much concentration. I tried it twice but never again.
Thanks a lot . I am thinking of buying a petiteknit pattern. I don't like over sized patterns. Your video helped me to narrow my choice.
Hello from North Shore MA! This was fun to watch and your knits are beautiful. I've only made one PetiteKnit pattern so far (the Champagne Cardigan) but it's one of my most worn pieces. This video is making me want to try more of her patterns for sure!
Thank you for this video. So glad I found you! PetiteKnit is my favourite designer. I would also rank my Monday Sweater at the top of my projects and my Weekend Hat at the absolute bottom. I thought your comments about her designs were spot on. Presently doing the sleeves on her Eva Cardigan and have just joined the front and back on the Stockholm Slipover. I think that uses the same shoulder construction as the Poppy Tee. Anyway, thank you again and happy knitting!
I love tier ranking videos
Great video. Have been waffling between champagne and april cardigan, so really fun to see that you liked the april cardigan. Would love to see a ranking of all the hats you have made!
Would love to have the tier ranking for sweaters in general and also yarns yes❤
Thank you for this nice overview ❤
thank you for your video! it's really inspiring 🥰 watching you from France ! 🧶
Thank you for the review! I will be specifically looking for short row shaping because I can’t stand my tops riding up!
Thank you for your video realy appreciate your works!
Very interesting video, and your knitting is beautiful.
oh pls can you rank your favourite yarns? I love this style of videos.
You're honestly so right about the Sophie scarf. I made 2 and I do like to wear them because they're less bulky if I want to wear a scarf when it's not really cold but super windy, but knitting them was so stressful. I had to actually use a row counter for it, and I kept forgetting to add the rows. I think they're so pretty, but I definitely don't think I will make another one either
As a very new knitter, unsurprisingly starting with PetiteKnit, really appreciate this ❤️

Awesome episode! I'm always left wondering how different the PK patterns are, really, based on photos alone. Now I know a bit more about the construction differences that'll help me decide which to knit in the future!
I also have knit so many Oslo hats and love it when people don't realize they're handknit. i made thr Audrey top in Knitting for Olive pure silk and for my body I like it with less ease than suggested. If you liked the shoulder shaping on the Poppy Tee i highly recommend checking out Ozetta Knits pattern's, she does so similar, very cool shoulder constructions
This was great! Please share your thoughts on yarns, patterns by designer or category. It’s very helpful to me. I start and abandon projects frequently and the information you shared helps me know what I would be getting into.
This was great! Loved the concept of ranking sweaters. I am currently knitting the Monday Sweater and really love it so far.
This was such a great idea! I loved hearing all of your thoughts about these different projects. I currently have a Cumulus Tee on the needles, and it is absolutely a slog, I'm just about to join in the round and I'm over it lol... I really would love the finished object but just don't ever have the motivation to work on it though
Great review thanks Amy. Really helpful advice, especially the mohair Oslo as I haven't bought as yet. Monday sweater......will give it a go! Your grey April cardigan, you look amazing it. Love your double knit button band. 🥰

Mark rows on garter/icord with a pin. I put a small light bulb pin each time I increased (or decreased) which made it SO SO SOOOOO much easier! I made mine a bit wider and a bit longer... I don't like the 1950s bandana look (or the way it feels on my neck) hence my using the small shawl version instead of the neckerchief. I tie the ends, loop it around my neck twice and, up in Maine, LOVE IT! So it's a do your own thing sort of thing!
I'd love to see all of your socks! This video was great. Thank you!!
I’d like to see more about summer tees/sweaters. TY
