I understand how you feel. For a year when my oldest son was 2 and my daughter was 5, my husband was working and living in another state. He came home on weekends most of the time. Monday through Friday was just me and two small children. Some days were rough. I never got a real break. I didn't have any family or friends close by so I was rather isolated. Now that my husband works from home and all 4 of my kids are in school. One in University. I get time to myself nearly every week day and it has changed my world. I give myself time to knit most mornings after all the kids are off to school.

Thanks for sharing the knitting needle gift/acquisition. I'm on the hunt for the "perfect" sock knitting needle. I've tried magic loop and knitting with 2 sets of needles and I don't like either of those options so I'm hoping for some needles that can knit in the round for such a small circumference. I'm just starting to hunt for some.

It’s funny that you say you don’t like that purple color yarn because every time you hold it close to your face it lights you up. It really suits you. If you don’t like it that’s fine I just thought I would give my two cents.

It's so interesting to listen to a podcast talking about world events from 2 years ago. I agree that it would have been nice to have listened to this at that time and been given a bit of break from all the sad world news. I was listening to some other podcasters at that time who did the same.. recognized the events and then continued on.... I'm in the camp of usually only knitting shawls (LOL), blankets, scarves and little things such as Christmas ornaments (Arne and Carlos). However, I now have 2 garments on my needles and I'm excited to see them finished! LOVE the little bird... SO CUTE. One of these days I intend to make a few from Arne and Carlos' book.

The Dartmoor is beautiful :). Thanks for showing the close up details. Your knitting is beautiful :) And, the color looks awesome on you! I haven't made a cozy memories blanket, but I'm planning to knit your Sweet Shoppe blanket! What a great idea to include yarn from places you have visited in addition to projects you've made. LOVE this inspiration although I've not yet ever collected any yarn from my travels. I've been to Bath once and it was LOVELY :).... How I'd love to go back, but there are so many places to visit so I don't know if I'll make it back there or not, but I loved my time there!

How lovely that you've made so many handknits for teachers! And, what a great idea for a tag with laundry instructions and a length of yarn for repairs! Good for you making a manageable plan for Christmas. Hopefully, you had a very hygge Christmas (even though I'm watching this way past when this episode dropped). I like to work on Christmas projects every 25th of the month! It really helps me spread the Christmas spirit and joy throughout the year :)

Thanks for helping me get some wave into the front strands of my hair. Similar very fine but dense hair situation and I have worn it longer and curly for the past couple of years. The front bits would always just hang there while the rest behaved, but giving it some extra gel, twisting it and letting it dry has helped a lot!

The best fitting heel hands down is the Fish Lips Kiss Heel. It's a $2 USD pattern off of Ravelry and there are several great KZread vidorials (video tutorials) to help. It does take prep work the first time. But once you do that and have that foot template you can fly through it to perfectly fitted heels for everyone that you knitting for.

Thank you Laura for a fun Easter week of vlogs. I do hope you are feeling better and didn't end up getting Mr. P's flu? The mundane moments in life are really the truely special moments. We often don't realize what effect they have for our well being. Oh and I love the newest orange square for your blanket. It is like bright pumpkin and all kinds of yummy spices mixed up. 🧶
