I have now caught up and I really admire how much knitting you have done. I love the socks you finished and I am very envious of your beautiful shawl😊 I am knitting a sweater in almost the same colour as your rust coloured one, it is one of my favourite colours for the colder weather.

Ahh thank you for taking the time to watch them all. It means so much! 🤎 I love rust it goes with so many things. I’ve made a lot of progress on mine and there will be an update about it this week ☺️
Hello from Yorkshire, England! I am so happy to have found your channel. I have now watched all of your videos and you have kept me company while I continue my sweater spin. I'd love to see more of your farm and of your handspun yarn! As well as what you have made/will make with it.

Hello! It's always exciting to see how many different places people are tuning in from! I hope your sweater spin is going well. I'm about to take on that task myself. Thanks for joining me here and checking out all the videos.
I always like to hear about books people read. I think the colors you showed for the dress would look good.

I would love to see footage of your goats, particularly the babies playing. I ran a goat dairy for about 20 years and still love seeing them.

Awww I love them too! We only have one sort of baby now and she's already 6 months old! I'll try to catch her doing some funny stuff. So much work running a goat dairy but also such important work. Thanks for stopping by. :)

I definitely appreciate slow makers. Time and care seem like what fast fashion is missing so I don’t covet speed knitters. You are very talented and your wears could be in art shows.💗

I completely agree. It can be hard sometimes to see people cranking out garments left and right and not compare myself, but that's just not my style. And wow! Thanks so much!
I love your hand spun, I always feel I never quite spin enough to know what to do with but I do love using it. I'm just knitting a caitlin Hunter Ninilchik Swoncho with hand spun for all the colour work and plotu Lopi for the main colour. I've just found your channel. look forward to seeing all your future videos.

Thank you so much! I also feel this way about hand spun. I never seem to buy a sweaters quantity of fiber and then just have single skeins. Your project sounds amazing though! I looked up the pattern and it is gorgeous. I'm very partial to the swoncho silhouette in general. Hopefully I'll eventually make a hand spun project too.
Always share about books. Listening to audio books and podcasts, knitting and a cup often/coffee, that's the best! Love your knits . I am doing a half Fishermans rib. It's so fun. anyway . I made a shawl for my sister out of plutolopi. Thank you. Keep going Its great!

I love reading probably only second to knitting. I agree that sounds like the perfect day to me! I'm happy you're enjoying your project, I've only done fisherman's rib one time and I remember liking it (it was a few years ago now). Thank you! I appreciate your comments :)

I just love those socks. I’m always so afraid to knit my socks without nylon. Jamieson is my favorite yarn.

Thank you! I too am very hesitant about no nylon socks but I think the stranded foot will help with strength. I love both Jamiesons and J&S. My top 2 favorites for sure! I don't think I could choose between them.

Awww thank you for telling me. I'm so undecided about that project in general. I know I definitely want to make one but having a hard time making choices. Luckily I have plenty of time to choose. I do love the neons and neutrals vibe as a theme.

Hi, I must say I absolutely love the dress you're wearing, it looks so comfortable, and the shawl is beautiful 😊 The Sven toy and matching sweater is funny but very cute, you should give it a go😂! Wow, many ongoing projects, how do you find the time?😅 I admire you, just so you know❤ All the yarns are lovely, keep up the good work. Have a lovely week😘

Aww thank you! It really is a very cozy/comfy dress. As a girl I always wanted to match my dolls maybe this is the chance to do it haha! I pretty much knit any second I can, including staying up too late. It slows down a little in the summer when there's vegetable work to be done but I can't give it up completely. You are so sweet, thank you for stopping by again. I hope you also have a great week!

Thanks for your kind and helpful feedback. I do truly appreciate it. It can be sort of hard to decide what kind of videos to make. Happy Knitting!
When you made your project bags, did you use a pattern or just wing it? I like how the boxed bottom doesn’t really alter the width at the bottom compared to the top. Content wise…I love seeing farm life! I want to move back to the country and raise our own livestock. I also like hearing about books that are being read-I need new ideas for what to read.

Hi there, thanks for stopping by. I used a pattern I bought from Etsy and worked the quilt square in to it. I will try to link it here. www.etsy.com/listing/702002990/drawstring-bag-sewing-pattern-beginner?click_key=b4c63972a73dbd8c1bd787a7276b1c790c5baca9%3A702002990&click_sum=7bb278e7&ref=search2_top_narrowing_intent_modules_top_rated-1&sts=1 I felt that it was very easy to use and I really like the end product. I opted to not make the carrying handle because the layers of fabric were already a little thick for my machine but I slightly regret that. Thanks for your feedback! A farm video is definitely in the works. Maybe I will add a currently reading section to some episodes :)
Lovely podcast, l am just about to start my first unspun yarn project if it turns out anything like yours l will be very happy, l was a bit worried about the drape it would give but your shawl looks perfect. The wool you spun yourself is gorgeous ♥️ the texture and colours are so nice, do you have a project in mind for it? 🧶♥️

Thank you so much! I hope your project turns out great. I’ve really enjoyed my journey of working with Plötulopi and would love to try out some other unspun yarns. I’m hoping to spin a few more hand painted braids to eventually take on some form of the Pressed Flowers pattern. ☺️
Hi, Just found your lovely Podcast. How many grams / skeins of plötulopi did you use for the Wildwood shawl? Did you hold the Strands double as suggested in the pattern? I have some plötulopi left from another project and think this might be the perfect stash busting Project for that.
@caprinecottage
21 күн бұрын
Hello and Welcome! I ended up using just over 400g of Plötulopi held double with itself. I could have kept it under 4 plates if I hadn't done the optional crochet braids. One thing to note though is that I did not swatch for this project so that could be why I used more than the pattern expected. However, I've seen a few Ravelry project pages that also indicate using more yarn. I also bet you could make it single stranded for a less dense fabric or held double with something else to help with your stash busting. Good Luck!
