Would love to see a fantasy fellowship series lachie, maybe not every scenario but the major ones on camera and you could do the others off camera or with quick summaries.

A bit late to the party but this was great. Probably lucky that Mark rolled so many 1s or it wouldn't have been so close at the end.

Can’t wait for more of these from you. The narrative scenarios and campaigns are what makes lord of the rings SO appealing to me.

Such a sick battle report! I'm still new to the game but this was so fun to watch, can't wait for the next installment (Big Jacques and big Marcs ones never fail to make me laugh)

This was sooooo funny I have never laughed so much during a battle report. Every time poor Marc rolled a. 1 and the Ringwraith screamed had me in stitches also Lachie your reactions to the constant 1s was hilarious 😂 Marc took it all well though and kept smiling - great sport. This scenario looks so much fun, I have just managed to get hold of the original Attack at Weathertop box on eBay so will get that painted up and have a go myself. Love the terrain piece as well - is that forge world? Can’t wait for Balins tomb 👏👍

Great job with this battle report. I've personally watched these in reverse order, but still wanna say they are super enjoyable and a fun narrative play. Kudos to Marc for playing the quest book with ya. (P.S. how did those Gandalf die survive this battle, I woulda melted them myself).

@@Zorpazorp makes sense, in the end the life or death of dice comes down to a holistic rubric. I've seen you pull a few critical sixes in a couple of vids myself. Still though, you have a couple of players with incredible 1s rolls, almost 30 in a game, which would have made me go insane.

Your channel has just cost me 80 quid!!! I've been watching your channel for a little while now and subscribed because I wanted to get some new minis and to be totally honest, Ive been into 40k and fantasy, but... lotr is the best game I've ever played. So why has your channel just cost me 80 quid? Well... because I watched this video and bought 5 ringwraiths on foot and 3 on horse from ebay. Just had to get them. 1 request, can the nazgul sound from the "marc ones" be a little quieter edited in please? I know a nazgul sound is horrible, but it is sooo much louder then the rest of the talking and that were a ton of nazgul screams . Further i rlly love the battle

Almost like summarising details is a good way to keep intros engaging for a broader audience ;)

Great story telling, exiting game. And to Marc - Sledgehammer, anvil, dice, You know what to do. Do not forget that the hobbits is quite good at throwing stones. I have played the Amon Sul Scenario, old version, some times now, and I have succeeded to take out a few ringwraiths and the witchking twice with thowing stones at them.

First time watching this series but it seems great. Once you’ve finished the lord of the rings series’s you should go for the new hobbit and have bilbo’s journey

@@Zorpazorp All of these videos make me feel bad about mi massive gondor and mordor armies destroyed by the cleaning lady about 10 years ago, when i was a kid. She wanted to clean them, but turns out that tossing them in a vat of detergent doesn't work great for their integrity, nor the paintjob. Those were hundreds of model that I never founf the courage to repair, strip and paint again. That is also why I ended up with space marines

Hey Lachie, i love your content man, the production values are insane, and they're very entertaining. Lately though, i'm having to skip ads every few minutes, which is incredibly off putting. Not sure you have any control over that, i know it helps to continue producing these. It's just feedback.

Good battle. I wonder why the Ringwraiths didn't initially bring their fell beasts to find Frodo? I suppose it would've been a different kind of story if Frodo got eaten before he made it to the edge of the Shire.

A couple of reasons. > When the wraiths were at sent out, Sauron wasn't at open war, he actually launched the first assault on Osgiliath purely so the wraiths could cross at the fords during the night as formless shadows to sneak into Gondor and beyond. So he couldn't have the wriaths flying about because his hunt for the ring was of the utmost secrecy. He couldn't risk any of the Elven Lords, particularly Galadriel, or his own pawn Saruman catching wind of his activities. > It's also highly likely that they weren't ready yet and were still being grown for the war. There is a passage of text about this but I can't recall it off hand that might shed more light on that. > The wraiths didn't even know where 'shire' was and flying aorund ain't much help if you don't know where to go. They needed stealth and diplomacy/interrogation to hunt for it's location. :)

@@johnny2hats330 saruman suspected the search, because on the road to the shire the (if i am saying this right) the witch king visited saruman. But not about the search, because saruman was already searching for the ring for many many years since the fall of Isildur, which sauron didn't knew but probably suspected

Because Sauron knew that Saruman would use the ring against him to try and replace him as the major power in middle earth :)

Hey lachy a quick question for you. Im making a 600 point competitive gondor/fellowship alliance army and im bringing in 2 big heroes in the form of stryder and boromir captain of the white tower. I cant decide on what to bring between anduil( stryder sword at 40 point) and boromirs banner also 40 points. The rest of my army is made up of warriors of minas tirith with shield, rangers of ithelian with spear, 6 citadel guard with spear and 2 knights ofminas tirith my all up mdel count is 27 if you think i should change anything please tell me but stryder and boromir are what my army needs at small number

I feel like you moved way too far turn 1 with the Ringwraiths. And hindered the scenario. I'm only 6 min into the video at the moment. Seems like there were climb tests and difficult terrain. I get that you want to get right to the action. I just thought it could have been more interesting and thematic to start off slower.

They're actually supposed to start closer but the models couldnt balance on the lip :) So we just moved them the extra distance in their first move. But you have a keen eye master dwarf!

Your dice must be badly balanced! 😅 Jokes aside, GW dice don´t have the best reputation. Would never buy any.
