Based in Aotearoa New Zealand, the home of MIDDLE EARTH, Zorpazorp is a KZread channel dedicated to creating ground-breaking and innovative gaming content for Middle Earth, Horus Heresy and Warhammer 40k. I have an amazing stream of content planned for each of these universes, but all bound by one unifying theme; STORY. The most important thing to me in wargaming is narrative and immersion. Exploring the incredible journeys of fabled characters, famous battles and world changing events, that shape and mold the worlds we know and love.
From scenery and terrain guides to truly immersive cinematic battle reports, everything in between, Zorpazorp has you covered.

Lachy this is beyond incredible - you're creating something I want to travel to NZ just to drop in and see by itself!
Mate, this is getting Wild. waiting for the next video already
How can you possibly be cold in your work shed? I mean, look at all of that insulation!
This is literally the best series on KZread
Absolutely awesome stuff!
You keep saying flying butress, when in fact none of them even have wings. How do you expect them to fly???
I've liked all of these videos but KZread only showed this video to me 1 day after it posted.
3:21 Whats a Neutral Grey? Never shows what paint for this “Neutral grey”
Also can’t find Stonewall Grey anywhere
Uninsulated studio, with all that foam sitting around?
i was wrong. last video i said his only limit was build height.
This project is incredible, I love it!
I love your content but I do not know how it’s sustainable 😢 hope it is
this thing is truly masterful! please dont stop! and we cannot waaait for the most epic gameplay footage on this board!
I don't understand how this channel doesn't have 1 mln subs...
This scale is still totally reasonable for Legions Imperialis given the massive size of the buildings and fortifications represented. I can imagine 100k or 200k points of Legions on that board looking amazing. The only thing that would look off is control panels and screens, otherwise giant doors and windows are a thing, embrace it!
This is is looking truly stunning. It's got to be one of the greatest Warhammer dioramas of all time.
I cannot wait to see this populated with minis- MICROS, even!!!
I just want to say, your crazy levels of enthusiasm and ambition are what makes this channel so good! Zorpazorp vids are now auto-like for me! The way you approach these challenges is genuinely inspiring.
Awesome
The top tower would look legendary with a "stained glass" window of like a saint or whoever🤔
Super cool project, and excellent work, though I am sad to say that your gameboard is unlikely to ever actually be the size of the Imperial Palace to scale for the Tabletop. The tabletop typically operates at a 1:64 scale, meaning a miniature is typically 1/64th of the size of what it would be in real life. A Space Marine for example being 2 meters on average within the setting, but their miniatures tend to be around 32 mm, which is just a hair above 1/64th of 2 meters. Within the Warhammer lore, it's directly stated that the Imperial Palace spans the entire area of what used to be the Himalaya mountains on our real Earth. For context, the total area of the Himalaya mountains is around 595,000 square kilometers. If we apply the 1:64 scale to that, it results in a model that would need to be 9,296.87 square kilometers, or an area that would be 96.42 kilometers long by 96.42 kilometers wide. For context, Tokyo city in Japan which is the most populated city on Earth has a total area of around 2194 square kilometers, or for simplified math, 46.84 kilometers long by 46.84 kilometers wide. As such, if you wanted to create a scale accurate model of the Imperial Palace, it would need to be more than double the dimensions of Tokyo City for a 1:64 SCALE model of the Imperial Palace. I realize this is kind of pointless, and I'm not intending to put any damper on your project, it's still super cool and I can't wait to see the final thing when it's complete! I just thought it was fun to point out the insanity of how big things in the 40K universe are when you translate them into real world proportions with mathematics. Another fun idea I had was whether you could turn an Imperial Battleship into a gameboard for tabletop, but it unfortunately is still a few orders of magnitude too large to reasonably construct as a gameboard. An Imperial Battleship is around 8 kilometers long, so if you apply the 1:64 scale to it, you still get a gameboard that is 125 meters long, or roughly the size of an American football stadium. That being said, GW could absolutely build an Imperial Battleship as a hall for events, and hold tournaments with the tables being decks of the ship inside it. xD
Gotta bring attention back to this. Great game, stunning board, and overall a fantastic batrep!
🤯
i hope when its finnished there will actually be a real warhammer 40k game on it
no heater?
Much Big. yay.
😍
You must be mad! 🤣But what a structure it already looks fabulous. Just a thought what will you do with it once its finished?
Amazing work, Zorp!
The emperor provides yet more with the promises of the GOOLLLDDDD
It looks good but its not giving off a good sense of scale. Visually it looks like a 1:60 scale gothic cathedral rather than the 1:300 massive structure it should do. Not sure what it is that's not quite selling it.
Loving it!
It would be awesome to see some minis into this. I know there's still a lot of work ahead but it would really show the EPIC scale
This is incredible work!
It's so awesome, my biggest regret in life is that I'll never be able to play a game of Imperialis on this board!
I feel like it's not so much this is a huge build it's just Lachie is getting smaller!
Generic comment for the algorithm Keep up the good work man
DAng thats huge
Coooking
Very impressive!
This really looking epic now amazing work man
Yeahh.. Into the gap... Thompson Twins.. Nice.. This is getting a SIICK build.. LOVE it..
Hey Locke, the foam crack is getting over the top now mate. Do you need to seek professional help? How tall it now? I say it looks about 10-12 feet tall. The Emperor will be pleased... Looking forward to the massive gun spead next.
The palace definitely needs more AA guns
Brutally awesome!
Not sure how this series is going for you. I hope it's well. Just a thought mid video. Instead of sections per video. Have one or two building, then detailing, then painting then playing? From my perspective which could be wrong, I've seen the same piece of tin foil and rock texture a lot now I just want to see it finished. I think you might of tried that before though on lotr. Sending positivity and wishing you success.
Will you be adding lower levels? Like caves, catacombs, sewers... To break a little bit the "grey walls" that are the sides of the tables
Sure will! A whole undercover section planned that joined the trench bridges to the elevator shafts 😊
Underhive*
The Imperial palace is looking suitably epic Lochie. That tower is a thing of beauty, with all its gothic arches and flying buttresses. I am so looking forward to the next additions and the final reveal. Then will come an epic scale Armegeddon game I suspect. I hope there will be a video of that game as well.
can´t wait to see my name there !
Absolutely loving this project mate. What an epic endeavour!
I was unsubscribed from your channel for some reason.
