Best part for me was ‘True human courage is not the absence of fear, it is its mastery....’ Love it, while it is fiction it tells me that to be afraid is not to be weak but to be human. Thank you Baldermort, whether you found that somewhere or made it yourself, I love it!

Thank you for doing these. I have played and followed 40K since 1992. My main army has always been the guard. I went with them cause they felt the closest thing to real to me. The idea of these normal folks fighting the same battles that Space Marines do, always amazed me. but in all that time I never heard anybody put it into words so simply and powerfully as you did. Space Marines cannot be brave because they cannot know fear. But the Guard, my guardsmen will stand against the horrors of the Galaxy. Spine stiff and feet planted, their pride soaring, as they hear a Commissar Bello the words, "Stand, and die like a Guardsman!" Something no Space Marine will ever be able to do. Edit to fix mistakes, and the evils of autocorrect.

Beautiful speech! Totally worthy of the Eclisiarchy! To augment the hype and to quote: "For ten thousand years, the hearts of men have beaten, strongly, in defiance of your so called "powers". For ten thousand years, the hearts of men have stood united against a galaxy that despises them for no reason save that they had the audacity not to lay down and die. For then thousand years, your black crusades have been pushed back, beaten down and made a mockery of, by weak sacks of flesh with cheap weapons and disposable equipment." "For that weak sack of flesh that you so gleefully mock is no super soldier, no immortal warrior, no creature cursed by chaos...He is a man, an imperial guardsmen drawn from some forgotten corner of the Imperium to fight for his species and for the safety of the people he loves. He is a factory worker, a farmer, a storekeeper, a father, a brother, a son, a mere man. And against creatures like you, teeming and numberless, powered by the very will of thirsting gods- He holds the line. He has held the line for Ten Thousand Years."

Ultramarines speak of "courage and honor" but how can they possibly say they have courage if they literally have no ability to feel fear? Astartes must give up parts of what make them human in order to become what they become. Maybe that's why some of them reject the Imperium and fall to chaos, because they realize that they have been robbed of the very thing they are designed to fight for: humanity.

I would like to see undead to be introduced. A blue glowing ghost ship with ghostly lich space pirates sounds cool. I know they have the Necron, but their not undead, their just machines. Between fear and guardsmen. Not sure if fear is really their true master. One day before the end i heard one shout: GUARDSMEN You can choose between fear and faith. As we stand here on this ground we payed in blood and death it is my duty to inform you that the fleet wont arrive here in time. I could lie to you and tell you they will be here any minute but there are more important worlds under attack as we speak. They have no choice but to come to their aid asap. But today WE can make a choice. Are we letting the fear in our hearts and souls become our master today? Did fear close your lines? Did fear hold this ground for the past weeks? Will fear keep your aim steady. Will fear safe your life today? Fear won't make the heavens upon us rain down Drop Pods on the enemy in fury and anger. Fear wont safe our burning threatened world. Fear wont buy your loved ones time. Fear is for the weak. Fear is for the xeno and the traitor. You are my men! You know no fear! We are the children of the Emperor! He will be fighting on our side and every righteous man and woman this day! You are my Guardsmen! You know no fear! Only one thing shall prevail today! Our faith in the Emperor! To battle! Death awaits! Death to the traitors! Rally behind me now! FOR THE EMPEROR DEATH DEATH DEATH CHARGE So no. Fear is not the true master of a guardsman if you asked me. Even in death. Just my humble opinion.

Good video man. Love your voice and the way you talk in the video, but maybe next time say in the start that this is only small intro to astra militarum not to the end. Just feel that it would be better in the start. (just my opinion) ps. you got the first i in militarum as capital

Nix fair. I do introductions to set the pace and tempo of a set of videos then truck on. Should be lots coming out for the guard this week on the channel. It’s only a taster. Thanks! I hate typos but my eyes aren’t what they used to be. Hope you enjoy the rest, if you have the time and inclination to watch later in the week. :).

It’s because I write and record them very swiftly. Very. I don’t get the time to edit and polish due to my schedule. It’s also intensely early work. These things happen when you push out the quantity I do. Quality suffers. I simply don’t get time to ‘craft them’.
