I agree. I think making any weird rules like this is a huge mistake. This is why women are so fearful of sex because they keep getting told by society that it's about rewarding their man. Sex is supposed to be something equally for both parties and is out of love for each other. We need to stop telling women it's something you give a man. Some people decide to have sex on the first day or date and then the person that we thought was the one ends up leaving us. I think the 90 day rule is very important. It's something I definitely wish I had implemented more because I've had guys sweet talk me for a month then gave it up because I felt something and he bounced out of my life. But it's each to their own. Every person has the right to decide what they want to do with their bodies.

The point of the 90 day rule is to get women to stop giving it up so quickly. Steve knows there are higher priorities than sex. This rule is there to point out that very fact. The 90 day rule is there to weed out sleazebags and to make women wait longer. There is nothing wrong with advising women to wait longer in order to weed out sleazebags. He is NOT suggesting you HAVE to have sex on day 90. He's just saying wait til at LEAST day 90. He is just not very good at explaining this reasoning. I DO get what he's getting at, but this girl has no idea. The fact that she disclosed her 90 day strategy to the guy proves just how naive and NOT ready she is for sex with anyone yet. From her demeanor, I inferred that she was a typically sex addicted modern woman. I also assumed from the same that she was actually celibate during this dating process. If I can see this just from watching her online, most guys prob can in person. If this man she's dating can't see it, he's likely very inexperienced, maybe a virgin. I am an actual relationship counselor in training. ladies and gents, let me tell you something. 90days is NOT enough time to get to know a person. Putting people on probation is not a guarantee. and stop trying to change people's relationship values. you will fail every time. we need to learn how to discuss our expectations and be real when a person shows their truth. Steve's advice is not a one size fits all. respect is however. it takes a minimum of two years to get to know a person. and trust, you need every bit of it to see who someone is. its easy to maintain a lie for 3mos. its rough to do it for 2yrs. be friends with people and stop looking for a relationship so hard

You should be adults. Make your decisions and go on with life. I didn't wait 90 days for my wife and guess what, she wasn't gonna wait 90 days for me either. She gave me the cookie the first day. 8 years later I'm still here and we still strong. So it's just to get to know the person. You're gonna do what you feel you need or want so let's not be naive to your feelings. If you're gonna have sex, be responsible and come to a understanding. Most of all, enjoy it. Intimacy is rare between people. Sex is everyday. Love is common. But no one shows intimacy anymore. I showed my wife intimacy on day one. 2 kids later, and she's still the most beautiful person to me.
