Kool-Aid was invented by Edwin Perkins in Hastings, Nebraska. All of his experiments took place in his mother's kitchen. Its predecessor was a liquid concentrate called Fruit Smack. To reduce shipping costs, in 1927, Perkins discovered a way to remove the liquid from Fruit Smack, leaving only a powder; This powder was named Kool-Aid. Perkins moved his production to Chicago in 1931 and Kool-Aid was sold to General Foods in 1953. Hastings still celebrates a yearly summer festival called Kool-Aid Days- no ones reading this anyways, if you are then comment saucy in the comments section to have bragging rights and to confuse your enemies- on the second weekend in August, in honor of their city's claim to fame. Kool-Aid is known as Nebraska's official soft drink.
An agreement between Kraft Foods and SodaStream in 2012 made Kool-Aid's various flavors available for consumer purchases and use with SodaStream's home soda maker machine.
There is an active scene of Kool-aid collectors. A rare old Kool-Aid package can be traded for up to several hundred dollars on auction websites.

7:23 I don't know the scientific explanation behind this, but back in middle school, I had a girl friend that used to crush up Smarties (an American sugar candy that's *pretty much* Kool Aid powder pressed into a circle) and snort them with a straw in school off of the desks. She said she liked the burning sensation it had in her nose, but one time she had worms literally coming out of her nose and was taken to the emergency room, and it turns out they were feeding off of the sugary dust that was trapped inside her nose. I don't know how the worms ended up in her nose, but yeah, maybe don't do that......

@@red_echo_panda I think it depends. Actually, some people find uni easier than high school. I guess it's bcos they enjoy their major and found something that suites them. I think it's just life in general. (Tbh, those "some people" is me sometimes, but also a few of my senior friends) I love my major, it is tough, but I had way more homework and stuff to do in my high school. The harsh things are the people you meet, the challenges you have to face, the stuff you dont want to do, but must do etc. I miss high school cos i miss my awesome friends and teachers. To me, it's harder to meet good people in uni, especially if it's a uni in another state or country. Maybe it's not about the people, but it's other stuff. Maybe it's the realization of life that hits you and you get depressed and demotivated. Anyways, it depends, i guess.. haha Good luck to you mate ;)

My older brother is starting his 4th year in medicine and he’s not catching a break. I’m starting college and lowkey, after a whole lot of peaceful home schooling, I’m scared of going back to sitting in an actual class.

Imo people who say that haven't tried it with ice and a squirt of lemon juice. A few years ago my bestfriends parents bought a big ol pack of sparkling water, DIDNT PUT IT IN THE FRIGE and said they didn't like it. So they drank look warm sparkling water and said they didn't like it. Like no shit when it's not refrigerated it turnes into air, idk but if you take a sip of room temperature sparkling water, it just turns into air. Only bubbles not a single drop of liquid. I'm also kinda picky about sparkling water, some brands taste like shit.

A friend of mine (an american) found out a while ago that I had never tried kool aid, and decided I HAD to try it, even though no one sells it here in Brazil. So he sent me one of those little packets, I drank it, got severe food poisoning and spent a couple days on the hospital. How do american 6 year olds drink that? Y’all made of steel or something?

i tried kool aid once bc a class mate gave it to me randomly while cleaning out our classroom at the end of the year. i drank it thinking it was kinda gross but to my surprise it was from halloween so october and i drank it in May. then everyone laughed at me.

We also don't use the metric system... Because a system of tens is just silly. 12 inches to a foot, 3 feet to a yard, 1760 yards in a mile.... It's all so logical and intuitive! -_-
