I've only recently begun to discover this kind of drum & bass, and it's perfect for doing computer work to. Ambient and instrumental as to be non-distracting, but still exciting enough to promote energy and a work ethic. Helps my online learning be less boring. This is definitely the best mix I've found so far.

It's an inexpressibly wonderful sound that reminds me of the nostalgic and new 1990's. Where is this extraordinary talented guy now?I I have needed his music since 1990's.
I love that you use these types of pictures. Proper edgy urban feel, but it has some sort of comfort in it. Music like jungle, dnb, dubstep, grime, dark garage seems to have this connection with British architecture , all industrially gloomy. Like the surrounding of their birthplace shaped them, and in turn the tunes reflected it. Sort of an everyday, normal living type of feel for me. I love listening to the rolling breaks while just walking around in London looking at the sharp edges of the building, seeing people scuffle to their destinations - it really resonates deep. IDK lol.

Wow, your comment is very similar to what I was thinking. I typed it out and then scrolled down just to see a few people got the same impression. I find the image of Lomax himself to be the most evocative, nostalgic and surreal in a very English way. I have never even been to England but its architecture and non-city areas do indeed have an emotional quality for me (a gradient of differing feelings from suburban to the idealized countryside). Given your comment I'll presume you are English, so I'll just say that British suburbia is vastly superior to the disgustingness of the vast majority of America in all its quasi-urban, psuedo-rural, strip-mall and stroad filled horror. That being said I get what you are saying about the gloom of industry. In short, I agree and find most of the pictures to be overall quite evocative and ideal for the music.

@@alexesposito4347 So, so well put! Something about DnB made like this IS ethereal, floating, ambient, expansive. To me one of the best that ever did this sound. I remember being in my teens in the 90's listening to his music and it blew me away, now as a full on adult I still get the same feeling listening to his music (especially under Shogun). Bro. I first stumbled on this mix while in uni, writing my thesis. I put it in a playlist called “Au mixes”, with the pun being that it was golden. It wasnt until today, when during a train ride from my house to Lausanne, i listened to it. It was, how can I say.. transformative. The music was alive and the inner workings of my brain felt alive again. I somehow felt like life was beautiful again. It made me think about all the things I used to love, the freedom I had, the possibilities I still have. I can say that it was well worth it to put it in a playlist called “Au mixes”.
