Used to recover dead bodies for a crematory. Just me in a van at all hours of the night. Carried many people's loved ones on to the next world to 90's dnb - hope it made the transition a little smoother...

I miss the whole scene from that era all the time. What the 50's were for jazz, the 90's were for electronic club music. A convergence of factors that just led to so much good music you couldn't keep up.

From like 86 when early House was coming out through the whole nineties was great, even early 80s with Loose Ends, Sharon Redd etc., There's always been great music and there always will be.
The exuberance and positivity we felt making these tunes because of the kit that was fun to use like hardware samplers, sound modules, FX boxes and such like. Music was an exploration and expression and the musical tools helped to turn our ideas into reality. That 88-2000 musical period was a ground breaking time for electronic music and music production The two went hand in hand. I think that’s partly why this music still resonates deeply.
i listen to this while driving an ambulance. i work in local hospital and usualy i would be dispatched to a remote vilage in the outskirts of city alone. fast rythim compliments the fast driving while calm and soothing melody helps me relax and stay focused. EDIT : i cannot explain how much the nice comments mean to me. what made me sad is that people from difrrent country are thanking me for service while my people treat me in worst way. imagine driving 20km as fast as you can to a car crash scene involving 2 teen sisters only to, once upon arrival, get shitted on by bystanders that are swearing your mother while you are trying to save somebodys kid. thank you people and im wishing yall pleasant suprises!

With you there. I knew it was good. It only now do I realize just how special that time was. Still sounds like the future
Late 90s UK was something. We had it so good, we just didn't know about it
Just been to London for the first time and I gotta say, this is the only place this type of music could've originated from. Looking at the pictures and listening to this set....yeah. Thats Londons soundtrack.
My goodness, this music is beautiful. Can never get enough of 90s dnb.
Organic. Natural. Super Cool. Like waking up in a new state.. pure....
Such a great Vibes .. Clean and Jazzzyy..
Atmospheric D&B of 90's - it's a best sound for my heart
Used to go to so many drum and bass nights in Dublin back in the 90s. Magnificent times. Truly unbelievable times. 👏 🇮🇪
The Organics, the schematics, the inner workings, the mechanics of drum and bass theory…..where it all began….the first book of the Old Testament….the Genesis of Drum and Bass, intelligence….. THANK YOU FOR SHARING
Hello just at this time...I appreciate this the best time to stay here and appreciate life or time....
Yes, the 90's was the best era for the best DnB ever made. Nothing after that period can touch it! While living through this time, I never even thought that the genre would experience such a change (for the worse) in my opinion! Had I the foresight to collect most if not all this music, I would have tried to buy it all! We were spoiled, because what comes out now is.....well.,..uninspiring, corporate and bereft of imagination and creativity! My favorite quote " the 90's weren't even ready for the nineties"!

There is plenty of good music coming out nowadays it just comes down to what you are exposed to, the mainstream players hog up most of the screen time because of corporations, like you said. KZread has been a valuable resource for finding obscure gems.

90's FTW definitely, without a shadow if a doubt, but there's still loads of good DnB (and Jungle!) being made. You just have to dig deep!
Big up Bryan Gee. I have to big him up because he championed this sound!! Sunday nights on Kool FM were always something special. Hearing all these gems for the first time. They still sound incurably fresh and ahead of their time. Much better than a lot of today's music.

How do some of these tracks sound so nostalgic 😭 even though i never listened to this type of music back then?
The photography accompanying these lovely tunes is fantastic. Every picture tells a story. If you know… you know x
I was 17 in 1995. While this does take me back it for some reason doesn't seem like such a long time ago. Meanwhile the last two and half years feels like they've taken forever. The perception of time is such a weird thing.

Early Creative Source is so smooth. Now this... This is refined music. Unquestionably some of the most sophisticated stuff you could possibly listen to these days.
Big up DJ Rhythm Kicker and all the former Pressure FM 100.4 crew he was another DJ that championed the intelligent Jungle tracks.

One of the best albums I ever heard , really funky , really laid back for those gorges summer nights and so cool to listen to any time any were , at the end of the day I wish I had this wonderful album but I don't , not fair . 🌴🌴🍈🍈🌴🌴 🌞🌞 💞💞
This era shaped the future. That dark man Fabio knows it. He brought jazz into dnb and hosted the most wonderous show on kiss first then r1.

Well what do you know. Just enjoyed a week's worth of your back2back mix Wax Doctor on loop. did a search for Big Bud 1995 and you came up. Gonna ease back and enjoy now... Nice one Tom....
I’d probably replace “early” in the tiltle with “golden” Mr Fredericks. How good a track is Heaven by Carlito? As caned by everyone from Bukem and Fabio to even Laurent Garnier! Although the best tune on Creative Source remains a tie between The Sun by the mighty Hidden Agenda and Only You by Intense
I feel lucky to have known these period of time. Still have my liquid funk comp on vinyl.
In this time I was in GABBER-scene in the Netherlands, but listened lots of Jungle-tunes that times, that were used as samples in lots of Gabber tracks, and I loved it a lot, and I still do!!🥳

I really love to listen to this while working. It actually helps me stay focused and it's not distracting at the same time. Chillstep and those genres are cool but they kinda just make me wanna not do anything. I also noticed a track that sounds very similar to the Facing Worlds soundtrack from 1999's Unreal Tournament @ 43:00 I guess it was just those times back then :)
