As someone who was 7 years old at the time this came out, it's like a portal into the vibe of those days. It feels so ethereal to me, because although I was in existence at that time, I was not old enough to actually be present for it. But I connect to it on so many levels, almost as if I was actually present at the time to experience it.
This whole set was rad. I was born a decade too late... I was only 10 years old in 1995! But my childhood was full of DnB by way of PC video games so this is still weirdly nostalgic for me.

Youth knows what's up! It was a glorious a time to be raver kid in LA is all I can say. Being able to look back at these mixes we had no access to in the 90s all these years later is a blessing. 😎
I went to Kentish Town Forum back in 2018. Bukem & Fabio 5hr back 2back set. 94-96 era. Blew my mind.

That sounds dreamy. I love Kentish Town forum too.
It amazes me how much time and energy were put into making these amazing tracks. Back in the 90’s hey day it seemed everyone was into the scene. Alas all the most talented people were adding to the scene in some way. Fast forward to today and everything is so watered down. So many options that people go in different directions. The early mid 90’s were a special golden time for the scene. I still listen to drum and bass 30 years on. Nothing touches the creativity of the music in this golden era.
Hearing Fabs radio voice takes me back. Amazing selector.
the more I learn about jungle the more I appreciate these radio sets. you're doing god's work here

A proper reconstruction of an original - so many tired remixes out there. This was Photek at his best.

I’ve just stumbled upon this platform. This was the best era for drum n bass in my opinion. Bukem and Fabio. Speed and Logical progression. Still so in love with the music.

It's a radio show! And hence it was live. And he is communicating with the people listening, creating a bond between the listener and himself and the music. And he's telling people about his recognition of the tracks he's playing. It's totally different to a dj set when he plays live in a club
