I simply love each and every episode of this show. I started watching it over 15 years ago when it was aired Saturday nights at 9pm. I was disappointed when it was no longer available. It is very refreshing to be able to access it via this platform. I am really delightfully caught up in the idea of shopping in such a personalized environment. The characters and story lines are so enjoyable. This show makes me feel good, and we all need a lot of that feeling right about now. Right now it is 4:30am and this is my choice of entertainment.

The shows were low budget, and film was very expensive in england, therefore they were recorded live, unedited so no bloopers. If you watch closely you will often see an actor brake character, mess up a line and try to correct it, as well as step on another actors line. You can tell the quality of actor watching these old shows.

I've watched this show nightly, ( as many a new girlfriend would testify to lol ) for literally years on end, and I just now realized that the guy buying the brown gloves in the scene with Mr. Grainger and Mr. Lucas, is the same gentleman who played Mr. Beechum in the episode " the junior. " And yes I truly do enjoy watching this show and watch it on a nightly basis so long as I have access to a computer, phone, tablet etc etc and I still get laughs from it. The characters are amazing, the actors talented, beyond the ordinary. Their acting alone was brilliant enough but most of them could also dance and sing beautifully, some could play the piano quite well as Capt. Peacock showed us. The writing was wonderfully done by some creative minds that have brought me many a laugh in other shows as well. But I think my most favorite thing to see while I am watching this show or" commenting below, ' is the fact that the comment section of every " Are you being served " on every channel in the entire realm of youtube is super positive and pretty much hate free. In a time when platforms like youtube and other "social media" are used to be dis respectful and horribly mean to one another, it is nice to read really up beat and funny comments like I find here without all the petty meanness. Thank you all for making one place on the internet that is sane.

I got some hate here today so I let them have it. But I still believe that, in general I come across sweet hearted folks and sometimes feel the love we have for the show transfers to "fellow fans" , as I say, because we're connecting and with the show, celebrating life. Nobody's perfect but we're actually laughing together with the Grace Brothers gang and with the world, and that makes it worthwhile.

Gloria Cowan In the defense of that documentary’s producers, it may be an easy mistake they made. The actor’s retirement lasted only 8 months and it was after the season was completed. When the next season started with an other actor instead of him, they may have thought it was because of the actor’s death. But his death was merely a coincidence. He was never meant to be in that next season.

Peacock, Lucas & Humphries at the canteen table is funny. Lucas pausing with the tea cup and everyone constantly leaning over and the facial expressions were great. Just laughing a whole lot! 11:39: LUCAS and the tea cup. 11:50: MRS SLOCOUMBE: It doesn’t show. 12:16: MISS BRAUMS: You DONT know who the father is? 12:20: MRS SLOCOUMBE: Yes & No. 12:27: I think it happened on my birthday. 13:07: He spends all day long crouched in the rhubarb. 13:16: CAPT PEACOCK spits out the tea. 13:58: MR LUCAS: What was that all about?
