Not really laws/policies as far as I’ve read, more crack-down and presence from law enforcement from what I’m seeing. When you’re a broke college student who just blew the rest of your student loans on a Florida trip, a 500-buck fine will really ruin your “vibe.”

I went to Miami once for spring break and I gotta say…it had its fun moments but I felt bad for the locals, I also wanted to explore around Miami and I couldn’t because the streets, bars and stores were totally filled up. Took me to realize after the trip I basically just waisted a ton of money to stand around in lines and not be able to hear my friends half the time while surrounded by sweaty strangers out in the Floridian heat

Don’t know don’t care, working as a Mail Carrier for USPS I’ve seen some REALLY fine examples of stupidity in these institutions for higher education. One instance that stood out for me was a student asking me where their package was. I led them to their mail box filled to bursting with advertisements, bills, tax return checks, paychecks, etc. and simply said. “Clean out your assigned mailbox and you will find the parcel locker key that will unlock the parcel locker right next to your mailbox, which in fact is filled with 12 other different packages all addressed to you.” The “why couldn’t you do that?” Question I get from these kids will always get the same reply. “I’m a mail carrier, not your caretaker, you’re what? In your 20s now? And you still need an adult to walk you across the street while holding your hand?”

Chicago needs to do this with it's downtown.😊

I know an ER doctor in Miami. Chaos happens all year long as some of those people causing chaos end up in the ER. All different types of young adults and college students.

I listen to a Miami radio show. There have been THOUSANDS of complaints about how bad Spring Break has been for years. They have really been sick of it, and the locals avoid the area like the plague during the whole month.

I would’ve gone for the first time if I knew it was gonna be peaceful and nice out there this year

Actually, Miami Beach is following a formula used by Panama Beach in Spring Break 2023. Their rules, back by thousands of cops, led to a significant reduction in violent crime and property damage compared to the previous year. So far, so good in Miami Beach. We will see how well things turn out by the end of Spring Break. I predict that this will be the most peaceful Spring Break that Miami Beach has had in decades.

This is essentially the beginning of the end of reckless Spring breaks and maybe Spring break as a whole and needless to say if Sprig break itself dies then I won’t care because it’ll give us all some peace and quiet that some of us should’ve gotten back in the early 2000’s to 2010’s
