It’s costs more time, resources & money when these ordinances aren’t in place. That guy complaining that he’s losing business would also be the type to go on the news to complain about the lack of police presence when a gang member goes up to rival & blows their brains out. It happened last year when i was there. And people stomping on parked cars. People speeding down *Ocean Blvd* almost running others over. I like to party, but I never felt safe there at all…

They aren't losing anything, what they are losing here is just tourist, the revenues aren't lost when they extort more from locals via TAXES and other fines. Who wants to live in a gang STATE extorting and violating or right to free movement in the USA. What they are doing is a fine line of martial law without military involvement. They are also at borders with the Standards of Civil Liberty. Just wait when the city is at loss of tourist and business start packing.

It gets ghetttoooo during spring break there. Everyone but those who are destroying and acting obnoxious are the ones who can't wait for spring break to be over because of how crazy it's become. This should have been done a long time ago. Your business slows down for two weeks and it goes back to normal. You can live through that.

I’m sure most businesses would much rather much put up with two weeks of slow sales instead of :broken windows, looted merchandise, urine/fecal/vomit on the sidewalks outside. The only ones complaining are the ones that normally make their money off of the drunk college kids.

Nine time visitor to Miami Beach here. I would like to see sidewalk dining shut down for good. Go back to where you came from then. Florida as a whole is pro business and one of the major factors why the state as a whole is outperforming the rest of the country. Miami Beach is now an "older person's vacation venue". I think that people under 40 should choose another place to spend their time and money during Spring Break. Given that Miami Beach is an island, it can get crowded fast. Along with the crowds, comes the chaos. Miami Beach is implementing the same kinds of restrictions that were imposed in Panama Beach, Florida during Spring Break 2023, which most of the locals were pleased with.

People say these methods are a bad thing, but in my opinion, it's a good thing. It's got those who normally start trouble during spring break terrified to come because their intentions aren't good. If they're not going to follow the rules and just be there to cause unimaginable trouble, acting entitled and irresponsible, then they shouldn't be there in the first place. Also, those that r complaining about the shut down times for the beaches need to shut up. That time limit is put down for a reason. Safety. These rules are making Miami Beach bearable again during this time. And for those businesses whining about needing exceptions to the rules need to get their heads checked. That's a terrible example they're setting.

I was in Miami Beach (accidentally) during spring break in 2019. It was so bad, with mobs of people, unmoving traffic, drug dealers in radio-booming luxury cars, that my friend literally would not walk around at night, even though we were with our husbands. I didn't think it was that scary, but it also was not pleasant.

Not setting up some ground rules or having a backup plan if their kid gets into trouble themselves or that would involve the cops. Sick and tired of hearing the same situation that kids get hurt and that adults didn't do anything about it. Society ain't responsible to make sure these party animals learn to act or clean up after themselves. Parents should be grateful that these laws are doing something about it otherwise they'd never know if it's their last time to see their kid and before you know it they'll be the ones burying their kid 6 feet under or seeing them behind bars.
