How did you work with the ECU? Rebuild it could be difficult if you are not the specialist in electronic things.

top speed?

I like the idea of a 4T and love small displacement engines. I would be tempted to do is, and am seriously considering it. Malossi claim 20hp which is not great. But respectable.

There is a remap that comes with the kit. The exhaust is an Arrow, the rest I'm not sure about. how much would this kit cost? im finding it online for like 300 but im not sure if i should trade my bike in for a 300 on an a2 license of if i should just keep it and upgrade it

I've got the 166 cc malossi and quick shifter. Top speed is still just over 80 mph but with a fair bit more acceleration. More than enough for uk roads if you ride the tits out of it.

Hey I just buy a 2017 rs125 4t but it feels kinda slow. And I wanna upgrade it but stock cylinder is 58.47 (58 bore, 47 stroke) and this 166 and 180 cc its are 67mm I thinks its not gonna fit or its ? Do u remeber bore of the kit?

@@viettran973 I'm not certain, but I would assume that if you get the kit, it's complete. So if you need a camshaft, it will be in the kit and vice versa. This movie was a long time ago and I only ride the bike, I didn't build it.

I'll need to check that.... didn't reach max on the track. The kit allows an extra 1000 rpm and should make up to 20 hp, so it should reach 150 easily.

OudeBockTV that wont go 150 no way big bores on 125's dont give much topspeed only torque...basically your telling me your max 18hp rs4 will keep up with 30hp 2 stroke rs haha! but nice bike anyways other 4 stroke 125 have no chance:P

No idea, as you can see the track is not long enough to reach top speed. But you can imagine it's more than a standard bike.

No, it is actually a 166cc kit, the same you mentioned. But this is what we were told. And offcourse it sounds much cooler.... most bikes don't have exactly the displacement the label says they do either, so it's not a big issue.

i'm afraid than rs 4 with malossi kit is still worse than 2-stroke :)

u only get 42cc? 124->166 so its imposible for this engines to get more then... lets say if you tune it crazy and not the plug and play kits... 25hp with 200cc? more hp isnt possible and the materials cant take it^^

@@johannesdatblue4164 rs125 (not rs4) had like 26/28hp from factory. and thats without a big bore kit and 34mm carb. So yes 4t even with the 180 kit is lacking

@@hamzasadek8134 2 strokes have the double amount of power strokes so its hard for an 4stroke engine to get the same performance from the same displacement and close to impossible to do that without any charger bigbore kits have got a big problem - the cylinderhead isnt build for that much airflow and the torque-peak is shiftet to an lower rpm, while messing up the air /fuel mixing in the cylinder. and 55cc (41cc because it has got 166 not 180cc as example malossi) isnt much for such an engine... you cant just bolt on an bigbore and hope for the 1.5x the power and torque it would be more effectiv to tune the valve train for higher rpms (valvesprings) and adjusting the airfuel mixture through the whole rpm band

That's a lot of money for a 4stroke 125 man :( I bought my 2012 rs 125 (2 stroke) second hand from a garage for £2000, it had done 6000 miles, got it on finance cuz I don't have £2000 laying around. Spent £800 on a full arrow system, and derestricting it properly. Spend £100 on cosmetics like samco hose kits and second hand carbon parts. She tops out at 110 mph and my mates 600cc bike cant pull away from me up to 60mph. Lovely looking bike but a 4stroke 125 should be left alone. :)

what...big bore kit for 4 strokes….cant be any big improvments VS a 2 -stroke with big bore kit.

Paul Whiting that is exactly what I mentioned in the article that accompanies this clip, however it's been called 180 because it sounds better. Also, no motorcycle ever has the exact amount of cc's the manufacturer calls it, be it 125, 500, 1000 or whatever.

I know and somebody pointed that out a while ago in the comments too. However, at the time we were told it was called 180. If you look at bike models through the years, almost every bike has a number in its designation that roughly indicates the replacement, but is never exact. Also, I don't make these kits, so I only know what I've been told.

@@OverMotoren i own the same bike and he is still runnig as a 125cc. The malossi is actully a 166cc but slapping on a big bore without matching inlet and outlet and changing clearances on the vavles there is not much point.

@@dragonskinstudio Thanks for the input. As I was only invited to ride the bike for the afternoon, I really can't tell you anything about the work that's been put in. What I do know is that the owner of the bike is an official dealer, so should know about this. As it was, I rode the finished bike and that worked just fine. So I can only assume that the extra work has been put in. Can't tell you much more though, It's been a few years since I made this video.

@@Th3Ran Actually one of my friends has a Tuono 125 ( it's the same engine as in the rs 4). And I have a Cagiva Mito 7 speed. It may don't have such a nice sound as the Tuono, but it's much faster. This thing goes like hell!
