Have my 2015 rs4 up to 84 regularly on stock gearing and just an exhaust upgrade on it only recently bought it I loved from a lexmoto lxr to one of these and these feel so fast compared to a lxr I can say with confidence 😂great video tho mate I agree with you to be honest the vibration on your hands isn’t the best I changed my grips to domino road racing grips and it’s helped ever so slightly

Cheers again mate this is what I needed as you don't really see nitty gritty side of things I've only ever drove this bike once but got off after 2min as felt weird as im a typical supermoto guy but time for a change as I drive down south walse and stuff far way on a supermoto from Stoke 😂

You mentioned your son has the same bike im 24 myself nearly 25 and the price of insurance for this bike compared to others is kinda high I could understand if I was younger but im in a low risk theft area and it's stored in a garage just seems kinda strange to me

My son is 24 his insurance was £1000 because he paid cash but this year it was £600 so came down a lot after 1st years no claims...The Aprilia would be hard work for anything over 20miles I’ve done 65 miles in one day and was exhausted 😩 if your 25 considered doing your DAS you could buy any bike then it is so much more fun once you get over 70bhp..And cheaper a nice 600cc sport bike 2nd hand be such a better option..👍

This is why I'm after a new bike start of Feb as had nothing but issues with mine and supermoto style wouldn't say they are good for long dual carriage way riding so need a sports bike style that's got that extra bit of kick that can sit happy at the speed limit

Jordan Lockett if you weigh less than 13st you will love the Aprilia Rs4..It was genuinely hard to find 5 faults..Compared to the pulse it’s superb..Reliability is the key as I would trust it to do 130miles without being worried it could do it..If you weigh a bit less you can put a 13t front sprocket and it will still pull you upto around 83mph which is pretty fast for a 4t 125...but any heavier stick to stock gearing as it won’t pull in top gear...👍👍

Just watched your oil change vid then came across this, good to know some down sides however I have to disagree with the power statement, I owned a YZFR 125 before my aprillia and I have to say that they’re both pretty much the same, I think I got 84 from the Yam and I have 86 on the aprillia. They feel the same to me anyways (in my opinion). Thanks for the vid though :)

I have a Honda Forza 125 scooter and it feels much more powerful compared. But with regards to the Aprilia I think there must be 2 versions (cdi related) as my son has a 2015 hits 74mph on standard gearing managed 82mph downhill with -1 tooth front sprocket but on the forum people were claiming 85mph. My Forza hits 80mph with me on I’m 18st 👍👍

I can ride from Birmingham to Mablethorpe on my aprilia rs4 125cc 4 stroke, with one stop. takes 3hours 15min. And its a nice ride out. With good weather to help u out. Bike full speed is 78mph. With bags on 70mph. And I do like my aprilia. I think I would keep it even if I get a big bike.

The forks off a derbi gpr125 are a direct replacement.

Mate I have this bike but it really seems to bog under 7 rpm strange as my yzfr had lots of low down torque. It's something that iv lived with since I got my rs4 but always wondered if there was something wrong. When it bogs the chain slaps around even when just tightened. Any ideas

I had a duff engine in mine it was thrust bearing in the clutch basket collapsed then the bottom end bearing on the con rod went so swapped out and got a 200mile 2019 engine been fine since.

@@BigBoyzToyz1974 mine has like 2800 miles on only but almost has a lean condition but being a fuel injection there isn't much you can do or at least that I know how to do without plugging it in

@@Saltermedia I would get a bottle of the seafoam I was skeptical about it working but in the past I’ve had issues with lean fuel injection and put half bottle of that in to sort the issue..my other engine that failed only had 800miles on it I would check the valve timing and clearance it’s really easy on these engines you can do the timing just by taking the spark plug out.

Is this the 2017 version? Also I’m getting a 125cc next year (april 2021) and I have had a hard time choosing a bike. I want a fast bike great acceleration and top speed. I have been looking at yzf r, mt (2017 and 2020), tuono 2017 and rs 125/ rs4 125 2017. Is the rs/rs4 good?

2016 It is a good bike once it gets to about 3000 miles everything beds in and it becomes a reasonably fast bike very reliable and there cheap (2nd hand) to be honest there isn’t much difference between most 125s

I've got the 2013 rs4, 14500 Kms, goes perfect. There really is not much difference between most 125 4 stroke's, they all have about the same power and top speed so just choose the one you think looks best, or is most affordable for you. I certainly would recommend the rs4 as I'm loving it, but you can't really go wrong with any european or japanese bike.

@@matyassulyi9520 I got the 2012 model and i don't think it has any of the issues he had. Other than no fuel gauge. But it is pretty easy to estimate the ammount of fuel left. I just got 30k kilometers on it of which about 4k are mine.

i have an r4 125 2013 and i have the normal back seat i dont have the monopost one, can i change it to a monopost ? like you got? instead of the normal back seat to change it to the replica seat, can i?

Thats 186 miles so mine does more about 370km on full tank...Using high octane 99ron gives more mileage as it burns slower so uses less on fuel injection bikes..👍

If both same price I would probably get rs4 as that’s what I did...But if buying new look at the new gsxr125 that’s a pretty slick 125 the rs4 and yzf are getting abit old school now..👍

I recommed the rs4. Mine is the 2012 model and has 30000 kilometers on it. I have put 4000 km on it. Blew the cylinder head gasket last autumn that caused pressure in the coolant system and ruined the radiator and tore a coolant hose when i was 120km away from home. But it took only 2 days to change the gasket with my dad.

No immobilizer on Aprilia rs4 125 not 2011 anyway I had a situation on mine where the steering lock and barrel got snapped and I hot wired mine and put a button to turn on and off..

just bought an RS4 and i'm putting a 2022 KTM 350XCF engine into it.....

I'm 69kg and got 83mph, hit the top gear limiter. I could get 90 out of mine. It just entirely relies on the rider weight for top speed and power on 125s.

Not really it’s more to do with rpm/gear ratio. Bhp is to do with weight if the gearing was standard and rpm was identical then if the bike had 1000bhp it would only do the same speed but get there a lot faster. So your right saying you could get 90mph at 69kg only if you changed gear ratio 👍I have a Aprilia Tuono 125 that will do 90mph because it has about 30bhp but if you rode it it would still only do 90mph but get there slightly faster…

No pillion seat for this bike is there?

I’ve got an Aprilia 2 stroke rs125/Tuono now it only does 100km (60miles on full tank) 🥺😂

Yes if you dry the fuses by the battery it will be ok mine did it a few times

Yes I bet lots of people panic over the ch ch ch nothing to worry about mine has nearly 6000 miles doing it and it hasn’t got any worse and still running fine with $700 to spend on some speakers 😂👍

@@BigBoyzToyz1974 do you get some weird metal noises when you throttle up to 9-10k RPM? mine has this like spark sound. sometimes like a bunch of keys hitting each other kind of sound. but its only at 9k -10k RPM.

My clutch don’t make this Noice i also got the Rs4 125

Also when the fuel lights goes on it has about 4.5 lites in the tank on mine and it does about 110 kilometers with that at 120kmh.

I have a problem with my bike that's why I have come on KZread looking to see what I could find could you help me with my problem. When I accelerate my bike starts to cough I've just lost power in the bike today but it started backup after a few pushes of the button.

Ok start with the basics how old is the fuel if older than 1 month top up with fresh, spark plug has that come loose gap shortened tip melted. Next level compression test see if piston rings have expired. Battery is that fully charged. I understand your frustration but asking on a forum or KZread channel is near impossible to diagnose without further information or seeing the bike in person. Try those suggestions and report your findings 👍

Yes I've not put new fuel in the bike in 2 months could be that I only ride the bike weekends. I always get my friend to take a look at it but now he is moved out the area. I have not got to clue about bikes i only ride it for convenience. Thanks you your advice

Definitely, they said they made an official race kit 150cc 24bhp on Aprilia sites but it’s never been seen. Malossi does a 166cc big bore kit but is not very good about 19bhp.

Throw some high performances cams and port and polish the heads with the 160 kit and you may see 30h.p. that might give a good seat of the pants dyno power lol!!

I saw Jerry hawk250 throw a honda crf230 in a Chinese Venom x22 and made it work maybe the yzf 125 cam isn't that different in dimensions and could be used in the Aprilia it's worth a shot.

Check width and diameter of both sides of cam then match measurements up with an aftermarket one
