People like you worry me for the future of kids you's might bring up people don't understand or seem to understand taking a knife out on someone and inflicting life threatening injuries can seriously impact the life they have ahead and also impact there families as a results of it. Not to mention the fact he also ended the life of a kid imagine the pain that family have been put through. I just don't grasp how people see this as 'self defense' and justify it as 'self defense'. if the bloke had held the knife in his hand and said 'back up or I will stab you' would have been way more than enough to de-escalate the situation he was in. But let me ask you a question yes the kids were obviously intoxicated but does a push and shove into the water justify the fact that he had to pull out a knife and disembowel a man and also end the life of a man? Who goes round carrying a knife in a river full of minors aswell?

The judge is a clown, the defense is allowed to prove Miu's innocence, without being shut down constantly. Martin was trying to place the blame on Mr. Miu, even though it was his own damn fault he got stabbed, trying to fight with an elderly man, and going along with the instigating drunken teenagers, that started this whole thing. The reason any of this even happened is because all these so-called "victims" couldn't mind their own business, and all of them started harassing Miu, hitting and pushing, and holding him down in the water. Every one of those "kids" and all of the adults, that were surrounding Miu, should be on trial for what they did to him. No sane person can think that he is guilty.

I mean he's clearly guilty...but I can certainly see why he did it. I think the fact that they instigated it should be reflected in sentencing. He needs to spend a little time in prison or suffer some consequence...but not a sentence commensurate with 1st degree murder. Perhaps guilty of a lesser charge but not guilty for all charges. Recognize that he went too far in defending himself but just charge him with agg assault or something for stabbing that girl who was just standing there. The guys were at least physically engaged with him. He went too far but i understand why he did it...there was no reason for what the young adults did, but they didn't take a life using a deadly weapon.

Then Miu swings at Madison & the guys protective instincts get fired up. No wonder they called Miu a pedo as he had interjected himself amongst a bunch of young people & refused to leave despite several people telling him to LEAVE. Dante's smack at Miu for swinging at a female & STILL not leaving makes sense. Miu had revealed himself to be way off & outta line. The guys trying to keep Miu in spot, and the smack & AJ trying to somewhat restrain Miu did not merit a knife attack. Continuing to stay there whike he is being told to leave because the boys didnt know what he was doing. Decides to not leave, punches a girl in the face, gets pushed down and attacked for 1. Not leaving and 2. Punching someone first, then proceeds to stab 2 people that put their hands on him and seek out and stab 3 people that didnt physically assualt him and believe that it was defense. 😂. If you were that afraid for your life you wouldve left the million of times they told you too especially if they said you have 10 seconds and he still decided to go back and put himself in that "mob". He stabbed 5 people out of aggression, not self defensive. He even had to lie in his interrogation because he knew he acted out of aggression.

Inebriated or not, eye witness testimony of things that happen in high stress or adrenaline situations is pretty much worthless. They tend to get all kinds of things wrong, bc that’s just how the brain and memory work. You may think you have a 100% accurate memory of something big that happened to you, but if other witnesses were asked they would have a different version than you, and if there was video that would be another version likely different from BOTH witnesses recollection of the events. It has been proven in a study that someone picking a random person out of a group of pictures of ppl they’ve never seen would be more likely to pick the correct offender of a crime than an eye witness would , especially if the witness and the offender are not the same ethnicity.

He looked scared throughout the whole video. He was literally swarmed by a group of strange and very drunk teenagers calling his a pedo. I'm sorry but I've watched the full video and witness testimony and he DID NOT provoke the assaults. This was definitely a mob mentality, and these kids are equally at fault. It's very sad that someone lost their life and another seriously injured, but they were not innocent. It's such a very sad case all around.

Correct they should not be harassing him in the first place and they should be punished but this should never have escalated to disemboweling a man and also killing someone in my point of view both are wrong but stabbing and killing someone doesn't solve the situation and should be sentenced to life. The old man is ultimately a killer.
