Andrea Baldazo was the 19th person to testify. She is a registered nurse out tubing with her family the day of the Apple River stabbing. @@Cwgrlup True, but it bothers her obviously, and it was traumatizing. My parents are surgeons. we came upon a log wreck first When I was about six or seven years old the people in the car in front of us were hit with logs and I remember my dad always keeping his medical bag in the trunk. First time and last time I ever saw my parents completely shaken. They sobbed once they got back in the car and 911 had completely taken over. I don’t know how long they did compressions. My mom was on the woman and my dad was a man and everything else that they could do. Let us pray for you guys and love you. We know you’re not bulletproof.

@@TheGoldenV-bl9pjActually, as curt as DraggonCanoe might sound, they are 1000% correct. The victim had an uncontrolled, massive bleed from his heart being lacerated. The hearts sole function is to pump blood throughout the body. The purpose of chest compressions is to push on the heart, once it has stopped beating in order to get the blood circulating to the vital organs. If you have a massive hemorrhage that is not stopped and you’re doing chest compressions, in essence, what you’re doing is pumping what little blood volume might be left out of the victims body. The only way to possibly even have the slightest of chance that this kid would be saved, would have been for this to occur in a trauma bay with a trauma surgeon and an entire team. Even then, the chances would have been slim to none.

But the fact of the matter is, that CPR in this scenario is counter productive.

That being said nurses and CNAs are integral very important of the running of a hospital, nursing home , ect and a job not for everyone because you need a strong stomach , but most importantly patience and compassion because if you don’t have those then your better off doing something else bring it’s a profession with so many ups and downs in one day so imagine doing it day after day 😊

But the op is probably referring to nursing assistants and hospital housekeepers and hospital cafeteria workers saying they are nurses and don't do dick. As a side note, the top critical care positions for nurses in trauma icu, cardiothoracic and flight nurses are always RN's and not LVN's/LPN's. Nothing wrong with having the step down nurses, it fills a role just like the rest of the roles so there is no reason to angle them against each other, it's a team based on limited money.

Seriously??? You think this lawyer is trying to pin it on her husband. No. No one is saying this defendant didn’t stab the kids. The point of the knife question is to show that having a knife on you is not unusual. Because the prosecution can use that fact as this guy was violent and planned to stab them by having the knife with him. But the defense is saying, look, lots of people carry knives.
