    Well that's not how I build and not the real world city designs I'm basing things on. Factories were built in the middle of many cities and created slum areas near harbors and poor sections of town. Community farming was common in the center of large housing blocks as well in many smaller cities

    Moving buildings is surprisingly realistic. First of all, in reality you wouldn't need to move buildings all the time because you'd be able to plan ahead better, by knowing the dimensions of buildings ahead of time as well as being able to flexibly change the dimensions and size of buildings to suit the surroundings and not the other way around. Second : In reality they sometimes move entire buildings and have been doing so already in annos time period. They sometimes moved entire districts.

    Yeah I love buying supplies from Sir Archibald and selling them back and making a profit back. I do it all the time. It’s nice knowing I’m not the only frantic player out there. You’ve given me some ides when placing buildings!

    I skip canned goods for awhile... On low income you don't break even with the income vs maintenance costs.

    While his planning of the cities are aesthetically unpleasant to the eye, the players gameplay is solid.

    Found doing expert mode i could not as easily cheese my way through building ships. If you wait long enough, eventually Archibald will sell you a frigate for 20k which you can just trun around and sell for 10k so you have a loss. On lower difficulties it is really easy to actually get through this without having to build a single ship since you can buy the ship from him and sell it back and i cannot remember if on easy it actually sells for the same price you buy it.

    Why would a person prohibit consumption of a need for one of the population tiers or even down to a single residence? Example would be that you could click on a farmers residence and then click on prohibit the need for fish or clothes. But why is this option available? Trying to think when I would need to use this option for a population tier or a residence.

    You cannot prohibit it on a per residence basis... even selecting one residence and telling it to deny consumption stops it for everyone of that residence level. And its use? I use it often for things like coffee or canned food or something depending on the income to maintenance cost ratio and if I need the population or not. Canned food, for example, is actually a net income loss on low income settings. You only get 0.88 coins back for every 1 coin spent on maintenance. So trying to keep artisans supplied with it costs you more money than you get back. Once I get to engineers, I will turn it off for artisans to lower consumption and maintenance costs... then turn it on for a minute or so if I need to upgrade to more engineers.

    The new world is not opened up in the campaign until you advance in the story far enough.

    Yes I know... But you can easily beat the AI there no matter what as long as you are quick enough. I typically always beat the three star AI there all the time

    It's a great series but the music is really really quiet. I can't turn up volume any higher as then you'd be yelling in my bad ears :( Which the music was louder!

    No.. it marginally, and I mean microscopically marginally, increases the small risk of an illness outbreak but it's literally never been a problem
