Your videos are so helpful! Some tips for the next season: winter months new currency (large snowflake, ornaments) have specific requirements. Snowballs don't appear on your island unless you have enough cleared non-pathed grass. And, Isabelle doesn't decorate your pine trees unless you have a min amount of fully grown pine trees. 10 yielded nothing for me but 15 seemed to trigger it. I hope this helps future players!
I like naturally messy wild beaches, so I use a mix of cosmos seeds, weeds, seaweed and custom algae designs to make my beaches look more interesting. This mix also works really well with custom shell patterns and rock pools. EDIT: For those who are interested my dream code is DA-1935-8562-2643. If you want an idea for rock pools specifically I have mine in the top right corner of the island. Enjoy! :)

I’m so excited for my very first autumn season in New Horizons however, unfortunately I’ve been having really bad eye problems lately and have been trying to stay away from games until my upcoming eye exam, but due to backup scheduling, my eye exam isn’t until early September, so I might miss out on the first few days of fall in the game or I’ll try to just power through it, but I’m hoping come this time next week I’ll be all better and ready to enjoy the beautiful fall scenery in the game!

I used some bamboo sprouts as filler between fruit trees to make the fruit fall in a row, because I didnt want fences and wanted to walk through them. It didn't stunt the growth like fruit trees, so that was good to know.
FYI: the rare mushroom is actually only used for a single diy iirc, but they sell for a decent price!

So this is why Isabella Says MORE FLOWERS
One thing that I recently discovered was that if you invite your villagers to Harvey's Island, Harvey will add a new tab to your nook shopping app, and you'll be able to buy posters with big photos of the villagers. 😅
Trees COSMOS. Definitely going to be planting cosmos on the beach, I had no idea, and they look super cute. Right now I'm working on flattening part of my back tier and moving the houses down so they're all on the same level. Then I'm going to create a new cascading waterfall.

Oh my god the flowers yes. I had to plant a bunch for a higher island rating. They quickly took over my island, but I was too lazy to remove them... until I wanted to redesign my island. So I called over my friends, and it took us a week to remove them all. T-T

I'm so happy this showed up in my recommended. Right now I'm currently trying to layout my island but regrettably, I didn't take care of the flower spread all summer 😅
Mori, thanks for all the great videos! They make me smile every time I watch them!
This was all very helpful! I am thrilled about stunting the trees. I did know flowers didn’t grow past their planted stage on the sand, but didn’t think about it being useful. Very cool!
the sand trick for palm trees inland is sooo helpful! i've been trying to make a boardwalk near the beach but not on it and all it's missing is palm trees
I didn’t know any of these except #4! Thanks for all of the ‘things you didn’t know’ videos!
I use Lily of the Valley on the beach, as they can be run through without breaking so there's never a worry about having to replace them. I never thought to plant flowers to have them in their pre-grown stages, I’ll certainly be giving that a go soon.
Shoutout from my Group on FB from Atlanta, GA North America! Thanks for making these! I personally found these ALL insightful! Encouraging my members to leave you comments!
I love how the chapters are portrayed on screen next to the time thingy.
Nice, been playing almost since ACNH came out, and still two of the five were new to me and will be used extensively. Thanks!
Holy- The invisible pattern trick for the flowers helped me so much! I have white hyacinths around a part of my island, and some random ones near rivers. Whenever it rains, I have to dig these up the next day and suffer. This pattern trick should help, so thanks a bunch Mayor Mori!
I didn't know about the invisible pattern on the ground. I've been wanting to keep fossils from spawning in my villager's yards, but didn't know how. Thanks for the tips as always! ♡
I've been trying to figure out the tree stunting trick, thank you so much for this!!
Trees! I love how you point out things users may have done on accident (like I did while trying to plant and orchard) and turn it into a secret design technique! I seriously would not have thought about that, but now I can’t stop thinking how much my villagers need a level 2 or 3 tree in their yards! So much better than full size!
I have a money tree garden on my island. Each day I harvest the mature tree and cut it down and dig up the stump. Then when I find that day's money tree, I plant it in the hole. I have four trees rotating this way. So money trees, in my experience, have four stages, not five. EDIT: It is five as pointed out below.

I have (unintentionally) stunted money trees that spawned in unfortunate locations. I’ve been afraid to move them because I wasn’t sure if they would stay money trees. But it sounds like it should be fine and I can make a little money forest?
@rickseiden1
3 жыл бұрын
@@s.a.w5493 It's absolutely alright. I dig up my 1000 bells, drop in 10,000, and immediately dig up the sapling. I plant it in the spot emptied by the money tree I harvested that day in my money tree garden (a small plot of dark dirt I terra-formed and fenced in). You just have to make sure you have room for them to grow/drop your bags, and you're golden.
I’ve learned so much about ACNH from watching your videos and i love it because it helps me and gives me ideas for my island
I had no idea you could plant coconut trees inland using sand!! This will surely help with the Summer season bug hunting! 😄 I've been going back and watching almost all your videos, and you're definitely a culture icon in my eyes. 😊 Love you Mayor Mori!!
Trees!!!! Thank you learned a lot. Working on my flower garden and beach dock.
Thank you so much! Just got the island designer today and my island jumped from 2-star to 4-star!
Trees! I haven’t taken up time traveling (it’s tempting, but we’re so close to fall that I’m trying to be good and patient) so didn’t know a lot about mushrooms. The correlation with rating is def motivation to get that rating up, although the flip side could be a billion unwanted flowers...LOL
This was a great video! They were actually obscure yet helpful facts that are hard to find out. The only one I already knew was the flowers on the beach. I tried planting weeds in the sand, but they never grew bigger like they did in grass when you leave them alone for a while. I wanted my beach to look like a kelp forest washed up on the shore
Trees . Thanks MM for another informative video, love your dirt path by the way
Oooh I'm totally gonna use the stunting trees method! Thank you!

Always learn something new in your videos, in this case everything on the list came as a suprise so thanks for that, the flowers pattern will deffo be handy
Trees. I didn't know about stunting tree growth, how to plant a coconut tree off of the beach or the trick with the invisible path around the flowers. I've never been able to figure out how to use the custom design features so I've been laying hard paths around flowers to give me access to them and to stop them from spreading. Sometimes that's a problem though as I don't always want to look at something around my flower planting. I love the tip you shared! I tried to watch what you selected in order to get into the designer app via construction and I need to check it to see if I can figure it out. I'm old so be gentle with any criticism please? LOL and I do use flowers on my beaches but hadn't thought to plant flower seeds to get that look you get from the cosmos! I really like that idea!

Trees & Cosmos! 💚 I love your videos, you always surprise me with the little things I never knew about!
Thank you! All new for me ☺️
Oooh, hadn’t heard the stunted trees one before! I’m working on a garden area and that’ll be perfect to add some variety in the landscaping. Also, trees!
Super helpful video! Thank you ☺️
that last trick will definitely be helpful very soon. I'd been working on trying to get hybrid flowers and I'd been seeing a lot of spreading along with some good results. But I can anticipate this getting out of hand, so I'll definitely be doing that later. I went back to my New Leaf game recently and my jaw dropped cuz I forgot my town was overrun by flowers. So I put in more roads to make things look tidier. In this respect, New Horizons is a huge improvement.
I had NO idea about the coconut trees, that is so cool! I figured they just hacked their switch or something. The mush spawn rates is also good to know. Im currently dwelling at a 4-star island so hopefully I can push it up to 5 stars soon.
