Bonus Tips! You can place floating blocks on top of planted flowers! Climbing walls line up nicely with the tops of floating blocks! Perfect for creating buildings, tunnels, etc.

Cute little detail: if you have a Mario themed outfit inside your magic wand, the game makes the mario theme sound when you transform to that outfit!

I love how much everyone is using the bricks! Honestly I wasn’t really hyped for the Mario update due to my island not being very cartoonish, BUT I adore these items!! I shall always be wearing the Luigi hat

I want that Yoshi egg so badly. :( It would have been so awesome if they brought back the Yoshi egg and you could customize it to all the different Yoshi colors.

I made a mario course on my beach and my villager picked up the coins and switched the flag. It was pretty cute!

This is the second or third video that mentions terraforming cliffs around the pipes to 'hide' them.. am I the only one who hates that random square gap and prefers to hide them behind buildings instead?

The terraforming trick looks better with bushes and flowers around/in front of it too! Bc otherwise yeah it does feel a tad awkward

I saw in another video that if Villagers place a warp pipe in their house, you can use it to warp out, but never to warp in. Though Nintendo missed out on an opportunity to increase the functionality of the Pipes with customizing. I wish you could customize the pipe color and thus drive destinations based on colored pairs. Ah well.

These vids are both wholesome (and relaxing) as well as bloody useful! keep it up mate.

I used some floating blocks to make traffic lights🚦 for my “city core” area on my island by placing them above the intersection with lanterns acting as signals. I already have a network of warp pipes around my island too. I had the most fun warping from different areas of my island. Watching Freya and Tammy interact with the coins was so cute. I placed a coin in front of the call box next to my Nook’s Cranny and Freya kept walking into the coin. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

to bad you cant recolor the pipes, since in older mario games some pipes show up as yellow, red or blue. :(

It would be nice to connect pipes through colour too. It'd make having multiple pipes so much easier (if you even can) as you wouldn't be jumping in the wrong pipes all the time pff

i have a forestcore theme for my island, my pipes are hidden and i use a variety of different coloured mushroom platforms to liven up my forests!

Would be so cool If they ever added color option, I think the normal one would have different colors And then they could add a separate pipe that’s the clear pipe and maybe that can be clear or even tinted certain colours 🤔

I kind of wish they'd allow customization of pipes. Perhaps make it a secret detail that similarly colored pipes would pair up to allow you for multiple pairings without the randomization effect.

I hate that the color of the nook shop stuff is specific to the island when you make your island, my darn drink machine is blue

I watched every video about the Mario items so far for learning secrets about them. I've already made a cave with the new items, but it was a new information that you can put rugs or wallmounted items under the floating blocks. Thank you so much! :)

You can teleport into your house with the pipe. I put one in my basement near my diy bench. It just involves the loading screen though, so if you have multiple around your island, it may get annoying.

learned yesterday that you can pop flying balloons using a net. you need to be at the same height as the balloon though tier 2 or 3, but still. im devastated you can do this at all

Villager Worth noting putting a warp pipe in your house is a great way to zip back to use your storage when oit decorating

Would have been a cool detail to be able to make fire flowers gold but the other stuff is definitely cool

VILLAGERS. Great info! I don’t think I’ll gift any Mario items to my villagers because they don’t fit my aesthetic. The detail about them interacting with them is super cool though!

Only thing I learnt from this is what the inside of Tammy's house looks like, since she was one of my starter villagers so she had the boring default one :P

I already hid one pipe behind the clifff I built my house on because the design doesn't fit my island, othe other pipe is behind a villagers house, but a lighthouse works even better! (I just couldn't center the tower anymore)

I made a treehouse and I put the warp pipe hidden behind it so when I pop out I land on the treehouse!!! I love it 💖

I'm new and only have five villagers so far. I haven't decided who I want to gift which items.

Some of the wallpapers can glow in the dark. Like the skull one. Thing is, you have to turn off the lights to see it glow

I knew about the buried pipe, but unfortunately the places I want to warp to are on the bottom level 😅 ah well, I've hidden them behind trees instead!

I had fun using the pipes for a while and I found out if you either placed a pitfall or a dug-up hole (I tried mine on a cliff), you will still get caught in the trap. A great idea if you want to prank yourself or someone who uses the pipes.

I wish we could customize the bricks and pipes to get rid of the cartoonish design- but then I suppose they won’t look like a Mario item like Nintendo intended them to be.

If floating blocks can be a thing, why not make some actual wall shelves so we can put our other stuff on display on our walls instead of eating up floor space. I hope its possible in the future.
