Can you cut down trees or dig things up in a dream? If so, I could see people making puzzles out of their dream islands, for example, certain areas wouldn't be accessible until you find/make the tools to enter them, ect.

DJ Kade I believe so but the uploader must provide the tools as dropped items on the ground The only thing you //can// do without the uploader providing it is wearing your wetsuit to bed lol Since you’re wearing it’s unaffected by that feature so you can swim on the island Some people have made areas that can only be accessed by swimming to the destination

If you place a lost item on a table and rotate it, the lost item’s orientation will be changed with it.

Just watched a scary island walk through on Nintentalk's channel and they had the list items in their scary areas like the notebooks by empty hospital beds. It was an awesome touch to the creepy vibes

I've visited a few dream islands and always appreciate the ones where the owners have left ladders etc :) Plus outfits to match the theme of the island so you can take some cool photos. Its little touches like that which make me love the dream suite.

The clean up trick has also a probably faster alternative, although it requires having multiple residents on the island: Instead of requesting cleanup, enable party play, and make the "follower" pick up any item that you want to send to the box. You can also store turnips using both of these methods, which is cool considering we can't store them in the house storage either 😉

@@slowmo0409 The items won't disappear with time, but the box has a maximun storage capacity of 80 items (although only 60 are shown), and exceeding this limit while cause the oldest items to disappear.

I have a tip to share. If you don’t like tidying up your island of the spawned fallen branches from the wood and cedar trees. You can put a bunch of flowers around them 8x9. Also another tip is if you’re carrying the colourful watering can and you clap to make Orville blush. You do have a bit more higher chance to land on a rare random island. Because I’ve landed on a non native fruit island 3 times in a day. Even the bamboo island and the rocks island. If you don’t carry the water can and make Orville blush. You just land on the usual normal random islands.

that flip you did at the end into the sea was amazing, and I didn't actually realise you could do that...

Even with 6 accounts on my island, I’m still getting duplicate DIY recipes. I can’t believe I didn’t realise about the clean up trick. It’s so obvious! Thanks Mori! Now I know how to clean up my island more.❤️

I found that changing out my villagers (as heartbreaking as it was) helped me to get different diys. I was getting so many duplicates even though I had every villager type

Caroline Standley exactly, balloons and message bottles are 90% of my diys. Even when I island hop I get massive repeats.

My introduction to the Animal Crossing series was New Leaf, years after it had released, when its digital version had gone on sale. Best decision I ever made :)

Something I learned recently is that you can give your villagers fossils and they’ll count as friendship points but they’ll never place it in their house. Also if you’re worried about what your villagers wear I highly suggest opening the gifts they ask you to send to other villagers, even if you ask them not to wear it they’re going to wear it....no matter how many times I talked to Isabelle. Lolly is still wearing a wrestling top. 😩 So don’t give it...lol. If you’re ok with the item just wrap it again and then give it. Lol

I thought I was going to know all of the tips but i never even thought of using the recycling box for diy recipes!!!!! I have a whole room of diy recipes that brings doen my home score. Thank you!!!!

The cleanup service has a risk actually since the box can only store 50 items at a time. I've tried doing it to my diy recipes and unfortunately most of them are gone and were overwritten by other items when it's over 50 items.

We need more custom design spaces

The dream item trick was a pretty common thing back in New Leaf. I like to leave clothes for my dream visitors that is appropriate for the theme of the area, such as both sets of wedding clothes in my wedding pavilion. It feels like a fun little surprise for them to find they can dress up to take pictures there if they like.

Another tip I have is for cleaning up flowers! If you have more than one acc/player on your island, play with both of them, and have the one who isn't in control dig up out-of-control flower patches! They won't clog up storage, but are still retrievable in case you want to move them later.

I wish the kiosk search would let us search japanese patterns :( the US/english lang animal crossing copy don’t give you an option to change your keyboard to japanese which is really sad like hhh

lost items! still new to AC. this is actually the first AC game I’ve played and I’m obsessed. it’s eating into my World of Warcraft playing time, and only 1 other game has done that in the 10 years I’ve played WoW! (Dragon Age: Inquisition). right now I’m just working on collecting items and recipes. my island’s BASICALLY done in terms of layout, but I wish I had just a little more space to play around with.

I did the lost item trick the other day and I think it actually took 2 days for the quest to time out? So it probably depends on what time of day you start it. It makes for a very cute recipe book in my kitchen though! Would recommend :D

Once your box reaches over 20 items, you’re able to scroll through the up to 60 items. The additional 20 items will stay hidden until you begin to remove previous items from the box

I accidentally stumbled across the Dream Tools. A random island I visited on Twitter dreams, someone had emptied their pockets of everything they carried which included tools. So I had discovered if they are left out they would be awesome to have - so that knowledge is definitely great to share as some may not have lots of bridges or inclines making it hard to navigate around the island. I am not utilizing it as my island has tons of bridges and inclines so I don't think they are necessary and don't require backtracking. I never knew about the request clean up or what that did. So that is great to know. It's also good to see how many people visit my island in dreams, and sad to report only 2 people have :(. I actually also accidentally discovered the lost item trick. I had logged in as my wife's character had picked up an item and never returned it. Then logging in as her days later it didn't tell me who it belonged to and noticed I couldn't get rid of it. So it ended up going into a trash container as I didn't want it taking pocket space. But now this has me thinking of keeping one around for design. Still trying to determine what the Dream Ticket is used for. Can't find a use for it.

Something I didn't learn till later. You can give celeste zodiac fragments/furniture to hear stories about them. Despite the fact that she outright tells you to bring her star crafted items when you first meet her. I misunderstood and tried to show her a star wand. She only reacts to zodiac stuff. I didn't know because I didn't get zodiac fragments until several meteor showers later.

I have a flea market section on my island abusing the lost items of book and notebook. Have them sitting on a stall with a stack of books on one side of the stall and a magazine rack on the other side. Makes for a nice looking little shop.

You could also transport the DIY recipes to the recycling bin by Calling Resident, summoning a second account, and then having that second account pick up the recipes. Everything picked up by the non-leader will automatically be transported to the recycling box.

That clean up tip is great! I didn't know there 80 slots and hadn't considered using it for storage like that. I've seen people using the LOST ITEMS, but since I'm working on friendship levels, I return them to the villagers. I really want to keep the book and notebook, though, so someday I will use this tip. :)

Here is a nice tip to have a section of your island specifically for weeds/fossils/money trees: Create a custom design that is clear/transparent and put it on every tile that isn't being used. This is also good to make sure that flowers don't get out of hand.

Lost items! I’m working on little information boards for my critter stalls/fossil displays, I get stuck on small details but it’s really satisfying when they end up looking good!

Small details people overlook in dream address story building are utilizing the notice board and the passport comment. The notice board in dream state only shows what the residents of the island have posted, so you can story build by writing fake notes there. The passport comment that you set is what your visitors will see your human islanders say when they visit, so it's a cool way to story build.

A book is really neat on a table next to a fireplace in a antique decorated room, a rug, a rocking chair, done, cozy unlimited!

LOST ITEMS I play with 4 profiles on my island and each one daily gets a money rock, a money spot, message in a bottle and Pascal items. Not sure if this is a secret but I've not heard anyone elso mention it in any of the ACNH vids I've watched. This is really helpful for me as its easier to get more diy recipes, money and items for my main registered person. I'm sure there are many more things I've not realised ☺

my "trick": buying non-standard floors and wallpaper from sahara via coupons gives you a random one so use ALL accounts on the island to buy the standard ones to get coupons and you will have many many mystery ones a lot faster. The non-standard ones she has in her inventory (not via coupon) are the same for every account.

That clean up trick, including the fact Gulliver’s phone parts are in the bin, is going to be VERY useful next time I need it. Thank you!

Lost Item! I wasn't sure how the lost and found box really worked so this was helpful! I'm going to start working on a greenhouse and a neighborhood courtyard for my villagers!

When I upload my dream I leave three axes, two shovels, fishing pole, net, ladder, vaulting pole, bubbles, fireworks, sparklers, balloon, pinwheel, and the tweeter. The axes and shovels are because my husband likes to visit my island and wreak havoc, chopping down all my trees and such. I also save it first thing in the morning, before I do anything else for the day. So when he chops, the trees actually give wood. He can shake the fruit off of trees. He can find my message bottle and any star fragments. Just fun stuff like that. I know most people don't use it that way, but he has fun. I restarted a little over a week ago, so no one would find much design inspiration yet. But there sure are a lot of trees!

I've been saving DOZENS of DIY cards for my friends for like 2 months bc I haven't been able to get the wifi set up in my new apartment. That recycling bin trick is SO helpful! I'm definitely at least gonna put some repeat cards in there! Thank you!

Lost items. I leave a full compliment of tools for dream visitors, as well as an outfit. Two outfits if you count the wet suit. Everything is buried in various places around the island except the shovel.

here's a tip: did your slingshot break? do you not have enough bells to buy a new one or not have enough materials to remake it? follow the gift to a cliff and pop the balloon with your net! i did this in new leaf until i got my slingshot (which was a long time)

Using the clean up tool is great and it works, however for some strange reason the table was put on my beach and it was put into residential services, but in the process the palm tree next to it also vanished. Very strange indeed 🤔

i have used the notebooks as well, Journals of corse in meditation areas then, the books as menus in my restaurant. and the bags, for ritual areas for crystal bags and herbs in farms

This lost item idea would be great for making a library. If the books come inndifferent colors you could set them up on tables or whatnot along side magazines or something.

I put out a ladder, pole, and bubbles for dream visitors. One I visited had snow and they left out a hat and coat. LOL

With the pattern search i really wish it showed you all patterns with your search term in it, not just the ones with the exact match. Like if someone had a path called "dirt and flowers", it wont show up in your "dirt" search but I feel like it should

There is a high place we’re I want to convert it to some sort of Japanese tea garden or something similar but that’s the only place I have as a work in progress. The problem with the pattern search is it only searches for exactly what you type so you can't use keywords. For example searching "Clover" or "Clovers" gives two completly diffrent results.

@@meezle1904 For that I just favorite them to easily see everything. Then if needed I remove the favorite.

I'm sorry if this has been said before, but you can check a villager's closet in their house if they are dozing! You can see some of the clothes they own but apart from that it's pretty useless. I just thought it was neat lol

One thing with the lost decorations is that you can investigate the item and see which sort of personality it belongs to.

That DIY trick is a game-changer. My beach thanks you!

Great video. I haven’t used the dream suite. Luckily I designed my island so that you not only don’t need the ladder or pole vault, but there aren’t really any places on my island where you can use them.

Wow I was playing with a blindfold it seems like.. almost everything was new to me. Especially the backflip in the end 🙆‍♀️

I leave out jammies and slippers for my dream suite visitors because I’m so nostalgic and it reminds me of new leaf! TBH I was sort of sad they took they feature out!

when you tried to keep the lost item in the past but the next day it was gone from your inventory... was sad cause I used to do this in New Leaf

I've been..."repurposing"...lost items since New Leaf!!! The little book and notebook always end up in my libraries, and the little pouch ends up in a homemade craft area. So don't lose anything in my town!!!
