You are ignoring that he missed weight in his two fights before the Holland one but was grabbing the towel in one and was waved through in the other. Most of his fights prior to the UFC were at middleweight and at catchweights above 170. So you should maybe think less and read more.

@@johnboylan3832 He never missed weight before this fight, he only had a few problems. What world are you living on? In his last fight with Burns, he easily made weight & before that in the fight with Li, the towel trick didn't save him in his first attempt. They gave him one hour to go back & cut for the required weight. In 2nd attempt, they told him to keep his hands raised up & he did make weight, he didn't miss.

All Russian fighters try cut extra extra weight to fight smaller fighter. Khabib and khamzat for example Khabib missed weight twice before he was welterweight fighting at lightweight. Khamzat a middleweight fighting at welterweight. Russian fighters are scared to fight there weight class. Khamzat needs to fight at middleweight.

Khamzat is not a villain. His team needed to get out in front of his bad weight cut / missed weight better from a PR perspective. If Andreas had given an interview or tweet or whatever Friday morning before the weigh in, they could have shaped the narrative better. I.e. "I made an executive decision at the doctor's discretion, we almost took him to the hospital." Instead the only impression people got was khamzat looking nonchalant / unconcerned at the weigh in when in reality he was probably embarrassed / not sure what to do.

@@gm_collectibles1 Haha. Right on man. There's nothing wrong with supporting a fighter. Just try not to let the fact that you like a guy cause you to be subjective and biased. Who's a fighter you really don't like? Think about him, and if he missed weight by almost 8 pounds. Would you be defending them? Especially if they acted the way Khamzat did. Not only did he not care, he's weighing in and flipping tge bird and cussing. 7.5 pounds is a MASSIVE miss in the UFC. No excuses. Half of the battle is making weight. And I don't think you're right in that public perception could have been altered if they got out ahead of it more. It actually was mentioned before weigh ins that he wasn't going to make it. It doesn't matter. You have to make weight. He should have been professional and dieted down during camp, and had more discipline. His coach said he's an excessive eater. Khamzat made 170 on 10 days notice before. And if he really had bad health issues, the athletic commission wouldn't have let him fight. I think coach intentionally reached out to doctors because he knew they'd say it wasn't healthy. He wanted a cop out. 99% of fighters are unhealthy cutting weight. I guarantee that if doctors were called in to every weight cut, they'd say that almost every single one is unhealthy.

This was a set up. No, it wasn't neccesarily planned from the start, but when does a doctor come in and stop a fighter from weight cutting? Khamzat looked fine at the weigh in. In fact he was clearly agitated that "they" stopped the weight cut. Moreover, he performed immaculately, not like a guy who was cramping up so bad that a doctor had to stop it the night before. Coach sounds guilty and unsure of himself. He knows the doctors "advice" was b.s., and so does khamzat and anyone with half a brain. No I wasn't there, and yes I could be wrong, but khamzat did not look like a man who couldn't make weight or at least get a lot closer than 8 pounds! The ufc knew they would never hear the end of it if they kept this card the same, so they used khamzat as a scapegoat to rearrange the fights. They got to him when his coach was sleeping. Now that Diaz won, the ufc is potentially in a better position to make money off him in the future than if they had continued with thier plan to sabatoge him. And coach was sleeping when the doctor came in and stopped the weight cut?! The whole story sounds fishy a.f. who was this doctor....fauci? C'mon. I'll still wait to see khamzat be the 170 champ until he can fight bo nickal for his belt at 185 in 2024 💪 this was both a set up from the ufc paying off that doctor and getting to khamzat somehow, and an act of god for Diaz. Fans can move on happy now, until the next monumental screw up from this corrupt monopoly promotion. And speaking of monumental screw ups, take care of the leech for that robbery. When are you going to make the commission get you judges that know how to judge mma?! And maybe pay the judges a little more so they actually care about their job. Unreal.

I can't believe Khabib had the nerve to say something about Khamzat missing weight. The difference between the two is Khamzat will dominate regardless if he fights at Welterweight or Middleweight, whereas if Khabib didn't cheat to make weight at light weight. He gets destroyed at Welterweight. Khabib literally retired because he was Champ in a weight division where he could no longer make weight. Watch the video of him weighing in for the Justin Gathje fight. He's no where near 155lb. I bet he was closer to 165lbs, but the "brother" working the scale just waived him through. Like it was no big deal. I don't even know why khabib is still mentioned in MMA circles. He was a boring fighter with a padded record. Who didn't fight anyone that significant before becoming champ and cheated to make weight

Don't like Khabib but he mostly talked about him not being a good ideal Muslim man because he was cussing, flipping the birds🖕 & saying stuffs like "kill" alongwith "Allahu Akbar".

A total BS. Almost wasted the whole card and went out laughing and saying like it’s none of my business, the doctor called to stop losing weight. What a shame!
