Absolutely it’s a good habit to have but the main reason for this, and any chef using a VERY sharp knife, is to ensure the food is stable as possible on the table to avoid slipping out while you’re cutting it and potentially losing a finger or too 😅✌️

I just went to Kenting few days ago, and tasted 20 pieces of sashimi, it’s only NT100(USD3.4)......incredible cheap and delicious. And this video filmed in another town in Pingtung and serves cheap sashimi too, really love it.
