I believe it is a "little oblong sunfish". Which only grow to 3 or 4 ft. long, so it is a full grown sunfish of that species.

Yeah some people just eat everything if its close to endangered Moonfish (Their population is considered vulnerable. Sunfish frequently get snagged in drift gill nets and can suffocate on sea trash, like plastic bags, which resemble jellyfish). Its an naturaly rare fish even if it would not be hunted and eaten. They can get incredibly old, It is assumed that they live to 100 years or even older when living in the wild, in captivity only by 10 years. Due to its old age and slow growth, the sunfish will probably be just as heavily contaminated with heavy metals as whales, sharks and tuna. I wouldn't eat that. But as I just mentioned: Some people just have to eat everything and the rarer it is, the more luxurious it is considered lol. Some people eat also cats and dogs. 🤮😩 And i wouldn't wonder if such people would also consider to eat little children.

In Indonesia, this type of fish is protected by the state.

As sunfish live out in open ocean, this is about the only time most people will get to see one. I knew they were unusual looking fish, but I didn't realise how pretty they were. This one had skin that was a mottle of bronze shades. Nor was I expecting the flesh to be so white and clean looking. In fact, it reminds me a bit of skinned squid and cuttlefish flesh!

I can't believe it's the nature of a living thing... It's too soft.

I've been cleaning and cooking fish for as long as I can remember and never felt sorry for a fish until I saw this. Please don't take this wrong I love eating fish but there is something about a Mola that is close to my heart. All said it look good and I've seen many in the wild

Если вы смотрите многочисленные ролики по этой теме на других ресурсах, обратите внимание на соблюдение гигиены, в частности на то, кто одевает перчатки, а кто их игнорирует. Излишне объяснять элементарное, если конечно вы категорически против гигиены, и согласны кушать такую еду.

sun fish is a very rare fish coz it is highly prone to predators like sharks due to its slow movements so please have a consideration to stop hunting them,their are alot of abundant kind of fish in the ocean
