I think it's a shame that American Idol viewers could not see the value of this extraordinary young man. The look on Lionel Richie's face said to me, "With all of this talent, it's a shame that he won't win." We've got some issues in this country that are being exacerbated by hate. Alejandro, what God has for you, is for you. American Idol was your LEAPING platform. Period.

This was his best performance to date. The orchestra arrangement made the song 10 times better than it already is. Emotional and powerful.

Wow! I do not ever watch American Idol. But after watching a Elton John video and reading the comments about this kid I had to check him out. I'm amazed in how freaking amazing he is! This is the 3rd song I've heard from him and he keeps blowing my mind.

I love how Lionel and Luke are hugging in the end. Just makes it that much more magical.

The conductor and the girl in glasses cant help but smile coz they're in the presence of greatness :)

It was a movie score! He loves writing scores. My heart soared at 1:54 at the crescendo when he stepped away from the mic. He had this big smile on his face because he knew it was an epic life-changing moment!

i cant stop watching this guy ...this probably was the best American idol ever....

He looked so cool. The outfit was perfect and the music was epic. This will be on a loop for life! Words cannot describe how amazing this performance was. And you know he arranged it. Breathtaking!

Once again, he did it his way. Somehow, this didn't feel like a loss to me. He said he wanted to make it to the Finale and he did, now he can make his music his way. He is the most important musician to come forward in a generation and his journey starts NOW! What a treasure!

OMGGGGGG....!!!!!!! I CAN'T.. I just can'ttt put into words how amazing this is....!!!! OMGGG.... I'm crying of joy, happiness, I'm so proud of you Homie!!! The orchestra...the beanies.... your happy face , all the goosebumps... the lower voice at the end... luke's and Lionel’s faces.. The crowd going mad...the conductor and the musicians excited faces as you sing...... Mannn..... This was a religious experience to me... I legit am in front of my laptop, headphones on, singing along and clapping, and screaming, and crying, and just not knowing what to do with all this emotions.... YOU'RE AMAZINGLY TALENTED....

Dom Pedro no laine did

I like this but I find his voice is ONE LEVEL, there are no dynamics to his voice, no highs, lows, gravely bits. It's like its all ONE TONE. Frustrating because he's a master on that guitar and has written some good tunes. I don't even think you could train him to sing another way. This is his style. Soft, one tone. I could see Johnny from Goo Goo Dolls doing this on another level. Now he has a voice that's dynamic. Listen to 'john rzeznik - im still here' or his band 'Goo Goo dolls - IRIS' to see what I mean.

There's one case to be made for why he didn't win his season. It's due to the fact that his singing sounds very similar in every song. I noticed that and while he had so much talent, it was just too much of the same.

He did, but somehow, I feel like this was his stepping stone. He cannot lose with this level of talent. A full orchestra playing HIS song on national TV and he loses? The fix was in, but his life is set.

Too much room for the orchestra. This is not his style.

Apparantly...there are people whose lives are so pathetic...an opinion that someone makes about someone they dont even know upsets them. I viewed the performances on line as I have a long drive home the night it airs. Get a life
