I only used windows while I was at school, mac user at home, so I’ve never experienced clippy myself but have heard of it on KZread. PAL 9000 I only heard of him recently in a vid talking about unused features in FNAF games and for some reason the thing PAL 9000 is based off of was in it. I don’t know why. That’s how I learned of it. Of course I know terminator, don’t know what the 249 bot is based off of and don’t know the last one. Edit: nevermind the last one is based on Agent smith from the matrix.

It's funny how a bot named skyweb is resembles terminator and other "futuristic" aspects capable of adapting rapidly to its environment, yet it's opening translated into a "modern" defense at the beginning briefly

"If you guys want to let me know what's going on here" ... "Chippy" => Clippy. The paper clip maximizer AI that wants to turn the whole universe into paper clips. Big red eye => HAL from Space Odyssey. And I think the fourth one is supposed to be the Terminator 2000 from the Terminator movies. The others you got.

@@Green24152 It is also a Windows thing, yes, but not everyone uses Windows. Clippy is also well known as the paperclip maximizer that wants to tile the universe with paper clips. It's a well-known staple of AI philosophy.

Oh god not the maximizer AI clippy. please no. I swear I am going to start producing paper clips. Don't delete me!!! Tehom, not many people at all know about Clippy the maximizer. The number of people who use Windows and know Office's Clippy is WAYYYYY more than those who look into AI philosophy. In fact, I'm extremely surprised that someone even mentioned it here. Yudkowsky references are rare, but perhaps I haven't been around groups that care as much for the past while. It's definitely not a reference to the paperclip maximizer, though. The description even says "it was programmed to help you". ie, the office assistant.

You make me feel old. Chippy is a parody of Clippy, the office assistant in Office. I always changed my assistant to the cat who would claw shred your documents whenever you deleted a file. Though occasionally I would use the dog. They've been gone for 20 years now. I wish microsoft would bring them back.

PAL is based off of HAL 9000 from the movie 2001 a Space Odyssey. Hal played a chess game against one of the human characters in the movie that may make an interesting video.

ChessGPT does deserve the rating in my oponion because it doesnt blunder any pieces but make really weird moves i also saw it blunder mate in 2

Chessgpt is like the baby of mittens, you want to beat him in 3 moves, but he is very resistent, which I dont understand as its elo is only 249.

You could’ve just played rook f7 at 29:19 and you would’ve been fine. If he went for the check after you play rook f7 then you can play king g3, and if he takes your bishop then you take his with the king and it’s still equal material

I was actually really close to beating agent chess our position was pretty equal at first until the endgame where I messed up

I had the same experience with ChessGPT, a pretty solid opening on their part, but then fell apart completely...

ChessGPT has a pretty solid opening database but its moves after that are really subpar to say the least.

I can kind of understand people not knowing Hal 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey, but how do you not know T-100 from Terminator, or Clippy from Microsoft Word?

Why the better than PFP?

Why not play hxg6 at 10:00? If the opponent follows with hxg6, you win a Rook, and if fxg6, then Bxg6 (the Bishop cannot be captured due to, again, the discovered attack on the Rook).

Lol so I tried so hard to beat Mittens but I couldnt. I was so close but it easily check-mated me. But do you know If it will come back?

I beat AgentChess with the Black pieces on my first try :) The key is to launch a long-term attack on him, and for some reason AgentChess appears to really struggle with long-term thinking, so he will just allow you to carry out your attack like it's nothing and you will just win.

Chess GPT is rated as 249 which is technically lower than Martin but I think they are a bit higher than that. Still pretty bad but around maybe 600. We could have a Martin vs ChessGPT match as technically Martin would be the favorite lol
